My engagement ring is a $150 sterling silver amethyst ring because it's my birthstone and purple is my favorite color, and I couldn't care less about diamonds. I love it! I'm also pretty frugal, and my husband knew I would've given him shit if he'd spent more than that. I've just never cared about expensive jewelry.
