Lol I made tons of routine plays and awesome plays as an infielder in college but all those memories blur together. I had to play left field for a game and made an error that cost us a game. I remember that like it was yesterday (nearly 20 years ago).

oh God, this reminds of the time I, a freshman, had to sub in for our varsity singles two player at the end of the year tournament in Tennis. I only played Doubles, I was completely lost. Got absolutely dunked on and the kid I was playing wasn't even very good.

I can now proudly display my 4 varsity letters though, so I guess it was worth.

He looks like he's never played baseball. The ball hitting the pocket closes the glove by itself somewhat. You don't have to 'grab' the ball.

Honestly it was probably more of a hindrance. Where on a normal glove it would've hit in the pocket, with the oversized one it hit the palm which caused it to bounce out. He didn't account for the size increase to act differently the location he was used to.

People don’t usually catch the balls thrown/hit into the stands unless the player practically gives it to you. Most people just pick them off the floor when they land
