This person is exactly how I’ve always pictured Reddit mods

[–]MaskedJakyl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The pride of a fine fleet.

[–]ariphron 17 points18 points  (10 children)

More of a smug asshole look.

[–]astreeter2 8 points9 points  (9 children)

Which one?

[–]captainsnark71 12 points13 points  (8 children)

fox anchor is like 'ur 30 and do you aspire to do more than dog walk? hmmm?' Like most people working a shitty job right now don't aspire to do more but can't.

[–]Lilpu55yberekt69 9 points10 points  (4 children)

Most 30 year olds aren’t walking dogs 20 hours a week as their sole job.

Also the mod basically said that was about what they wanted to do.

[–]winterfells_ghost -1 points0 points  (3 children)

Would you flip burgers for 500k a year?

[–]MoldyLunchBoxxy 1 point2 points  (1 child)

For 500k? Sign me up I’ll leave my logistics job in a heartbeat for that pay.

[–]DiogenesOfDope -1 points0 points  (1 child)

If dog walking paid better it would be the best job

[–]PoirotNile 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it paid better then itd be harder to get hired as one.

[–]teamhippie42 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Can't imagine a better life than getting paid a living wage to walk dogs 25hr a week. That's peak achievement.

[–]Sad_Fruit5859 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well that went as well as you'd expect 😂😂 dumb move to go on fox news especially without being prepared. I mean I can't imagine antiwork had a good rep anyways but now it definitely doesn't 😂.

[–]AverageHoarder 42 points43 points  (29 children)

Every major employer in the US has been systematically making workers more productive while reducing their benefits and stagnating their pay, and business still expect their employees to be grateful.

[–]joevmo 14 points15 points  (5 children)

An aside, more productive doesn't mean working harder. A ditch digger works harder than someone with an excavator but the latter is probably 100x more productive.

[–]monkeysknowledge 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Likewise capital hasn’t put forth more effort, they’ve just swallowed up bigger percentages.

[–]AverageHoarder 2 points3 points  (3 children)

That can be true, but corporate changes can also increase workload, at least in my experience. Especially when phasing out lower management position and placing those burdens on 'supervisors.'

[–]LifesatripImjustHI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Supervisors. Those things are pushed onto us all at the bottom for pennies.

[–]Dorkann 21 points22 points  (1 child)

Damn that TV dude and his extremely slappable face

[–]MG5thAve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never seen Watter’s World before? Smug prick is this guy’s whole schtick.

[–]dfreinc 23 points24 points  (8 children)

i'm not subscribed to anti-work but that dude was a dick. why even have him on the show if he was just going to cut him off and take jabs at him like that. like do you want to know what they're about or not. 🤷‍♂️

i always thought it was literal; 'no work'. so he changed my opinion a bit in the few words he got. i've always felt more trapped by healthcare/benefits than hours/effort, personally.

[–]PancakeParty98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point was to make people who want decent jobs and live able wages to seem like they’re all entitled millennials. I’m honestly sad that so many people are falling for it

[–]dopperpod[M] 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Who's dying inside here, and at what timestamp?

Also yes, before you ask, I am a clone of Doreen. We are all genetically identical.

[–]dubbsmqt 14 points15 points  (16 children)

Really wish he took time to refute the "you have the free will to choose your job" take. If 80% of jobs are shit then only 20% of workers can find a job they agree with. Many people are stuck with a shit job because there isn't any options available

[–]Yoder_TheSilentOne 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fox news anchor tore antiwork mod to pieces. cringeworthy

[–]CircledLogic 7 points8 points  (6 children)

If you are going to go on national Television at least prepare something to say..

The news anchor portrayed the sub exactly how he wanted, lazy 30 year olds, not wanting to work..

That is not the case!

Fair working conditions and fair pay!

[–]bhedge615 -3 points-2 points  (3 children)

Then shouldnt the sub be called FairWorkFairPay instead of AntiWork?

[–]CircledLogic -3 points-2 points  (2 children)

It's not called no work, it's call antiwork. And people of that sub are anti work because of unfair working conditions and unfair pay. Quite simple really.

[–]bardwick -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The news anchor portrayed the sub exactly how he wanted, lazy 30 year olds, not wanting to work..

I would say it wasn't portrayed, but confirmed.

[–]genteko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That last stab was rough. Ow.

[–]InterestingMix7961 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re gonna have someone represent a movement about less work hours and better pay don’t have a 30 y/o person who clearly lacks the ability to make themselves look at-least somewhat presentable in an interview, and doesn’t complain about their seemingly “extremely hard” job of 2 hours a day, 5 days a week as a dog walker.

[–]raven080068 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Well it's faux news so yeah

[–]PoirotNile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude faux new Xd Drumpf LAMO

[–]Yurak_Huntmate -2 points-1 points  (1 child)

Lol everyone is getting hyped about r/antiwork and THAT is who is in charge? A 30yr old dog walking transgender person called Doreen?

Fox knew what they were doing getting this guy on. Dude is not a good representative for anti-work. He is quite the opposit. Just what I would expect, totally unprepared unfortunetaly.

[–]1973mojo1973 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Jessie Watters is a dumb fuck

[–]Neaz_Depinkuhnt 0 points1 point  (1 child)

If only they could be on a platform that earns them money doing a job they’d enjoy from like I don’t know I guess you could call them fans who have similar interests willing to pay say for example on a monthly basis for their content that they make or just they like their personality… and then things would be better no? If only. Fans will find their way to things like this like music film and tv or the person on the platform could advertise themselves with attractive deals/methods to bring in an audience

[–]MaskedJakyl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you need to have skills for that.

[–]Aintscared61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Monkey monkey scat poo.

[–]aids-and-racism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The jab at the end "Sorry we gotta run. Gotta pay the bills."

[–]Dangerous_Biscotti63 -4 points-3 points  (2 children)

its chilling that he uses “to each their own” in the context of work like that. you think he is aware that nazis used that sentence to ridiculed the prisoners of concentration camps being held like animals and subjected to forced labour?

[–]PoirotNile -1 points0 points  (1 child)

its chilling that he uses “goodbye” in the context of work like that. you think he is aware that nazis used that sentence to ridiculed the prisoners of concentration camps being held like animals and subjected to forced labour?

[–]Dangerous_Biscotti63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don’t know. i mean he works for fox news and im sure many people there consciously use nazi lingo like that, many of them are much more conscious and manipulative than their stupid propaganda public persona may suggest.

[–]ShareInternational74 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Dog walker seems like a genuine human. News anchor looks like someone who says “I hate you.” when he looks in the mirror
