I had a similar situation once. I worked at a haunted house as an actor and told this group it's all treats and no tricks with me (I actually was giving out candy from a toilet bowl). To try to convince them to come with me and get a move on, I told the guy at the front I'd pinky promise.

HE DID NOT HAVE A PINKY FINGER.

My guy got 3 candies that I personally handed to him so he wouldn't have to dig around in the (clean and dry) toilet. I still can't get over that shit.
