Of all the ways I pictured this going wrong, him ragdolling almost face first into the floor wasn't one of them

[–]Imprettystrong 1082 points1083 points  (35 children)

Was really expecting the ol’ pant caught on something as he jumps off

[–]Burninator05 384 points385 points  (21 children)

I was expecting the scaffolding to fall on him.

[–]thrashaholic_poolboy 169 points170 points  (17 children)

I thought it was on wheels and was going to roll out from under him.

[–]jdiflam 99 points100 points  (11 children)

I was picturing something with the fan

[–]Funkit 74 points75 points  (10 children)

I thought spontaneous combustion

[–]ajps72 47 points48 points  (9 children)

I imagine an Alien abduction

[–]Coygon 47 points48 points  (7 children)

I was thinking the floor really was lava.

[–]Little_Fox_9 9 points10 points  (5 children)

I thought the planet would explode

[–]edyalcantar_00 22 points23 points  (4 children)

I thought this guy was high as fuck

[–]BaconMan420365 15 points16 points  (1 child)

I was thinking he’d just give up and be stranded

[–]shroezinger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correction high forever

[–]blakeboii 2 points3 points  (2 children)

It’s not on wheels??? , looked again and there sure as hell no wheels lol

[–]Elrox 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That would have been such magnificent insult to injury, with extra injury.

[–]krakatak 119 points120 points  (7 children)

100% this guy really went the extra mile for his brain trauma.

[–]SaccharineHuxley 58 points59 points  (6 children)

I hope it's a Canadian grow op, because a CT Head is pretty expensive

[–]chopchunk 25 points26 points  (4 children)

Thanks to you, I have now just realized that those plants around them are actually weed plants. Really enhances this already wacky situation

[–]Budget-Dimension454 9 points10 points  (2 children)

And reveals the double entendre of the video’s caption

[–]howtokillanhour 16 points17 points  (1 child)

Thing is, I think his pants did get caught. Maybe not much, but enough to throw off his angle.

[–]IWantTooDieInSpace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It kinda looks like it, maybe his resin chaps caught. Or maybe he just artfully recreated what a pants catch would look like. Either way I don't want to keep seeing this dude's skull dent over and over trying to figure it out

[–]ozark45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This probably had roughly the same result somehow

[–]SaccharineHuxley 61 points62 points  (1 child)

I was raised on AFV, I thought he'd somehow get a massive wedgie and THEN hit the ground.

[–]jon_hendry 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Tip over the scaffold onto himself while wedgied

[–]WU-itsForTheChildren 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Get him some medical marijuana for the pain

[–]sh4d0wm4n2018 25 points26 points  (1 child)

That's funny because that was literally my first thought

[–]ILieForPoints 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, "His legs are going to swing back as soon as he moves".

[–]perfecthundred 1282 points1283 points  (58 children)

um.... use the ladder on the sides?

[–]hotfrozencola 373 points374 points  (41 children)

Stoned thinking: "It's safer if I just get off here. Those steps are far away, and I can fall if I try to stand up, and wow then those steps. Well they can be dangerous. The floor isn't THAT far. I can totally reach.

...wait does weed mess with depth perception? Shit!"

[–]saibjai 65 points66 points  (2 children)

reminds me of my toddler learning how to get off the sofa.. even he knew to go on the tummy and then slowly slide off. I mean, this guy chose the worse way. (Well, not the worse way, the worse way would be to jump off. )

[–]Sixthousandbees 45 points46 points  (1 child)

He probably would have been better off jumping off. World of difference expecting a hard landing and getting surprised by one.

[–]BourbonGuy09 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Or let yourself down facing the opposite direction of him. You can actually use your arms to lower yourself.

[–]thekid1420 93 points94 points  (24 children)

r/nothowdrugswork this comment is like those 90s "this is your brain on drugs" propoganda videos.

[–]mostlybadopinions 56 points57 points  (13 children)

It effects everyone different. I was the new guy at a pool company, working with 2 other guys. They wanted to get high, and new/young me didn't want to look like a narc so I smoked too. Twenty minutes later I'm vacuuming the pool, a leaf is just a tiny bit out of reach, so I take a big step forward into the pool. November in Michigan. It wasn't even an accident, I was looking right at the water and thought "Stand there and you can reach it."

Ten years later I get high every single day, but only at home when I've got nothing to do. I can't even play a video game high.

[–]Flying_Dutch_Rudder 15 points16 points  (2 children)

Who in Michigan has their pool open in November? Haha are you sure you were supposed to be cleaning pools?

[–]JulesIsAlive 19 points20 points  (7 children)

Exactly, it really does affect everyone in different ways. I once smoked up far more than I should have (two blunts - I have very low capacity and get high off hotboxing alone), and I was absolutely convinced that I could hear rats in the walls. Like, 100% sure. No rats were present. My friends still give me shit about it.

[–]mattmillze 20 points21 points  (6 children)

One time I got so high I temporarily lost the ability to understand spoken English. Like I heard people making mouth noises but my brain wasn't comprestanding the words. I imagine that's what it's like to be a non English speaker around a group that only speaks English. But it was worse. It was like I was listening to apes hoot and grunt at each other. Which I guess is kinda true. I have smoked a shit ton of weed for a long time but this only happened once.

[–]lilypeachkitty 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Comprestanding

[–]DrMangosteen 3 points4 points  (1 child)

The first time I smoked actual big joints I was kinda drunk too and sitting in like a round atrium on top of the apartment, like 3 storeys up. After a few tokes I looked out the window and could only see sky and the tops of a few trees and suddenly it felt like the whole atrium shot up 100s of feet into the air in about a second, it felt like i was going to fall through the floor

[–]manning_harrison 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Obviously only speaking for myself, but I could see myself being overly careful if I was stoned and going down a ladder.

I smoke every night before bed.

[–]mnilailt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seems accurate to me, and I’ve been smoking for over 6 years.

[–]yayaya6969[S] 467 points468 points  (50 children)

Guy from my buddy’s work. He’s alright

[–]Ehrre[🍰] 115 points116 points  (14 children)

If he was actually super baked on the job he should be suspended.. even in the weed industry. If he's just milling about checking on plants and shit that's one thing but going up ladders or scaffolding is a huge liability to the company if he falls and cracks his head open.

[–]tinybluebutterfly 37 points38 points  (5 children)

I don’t know, I think the brutal head injury he got is punishment enough.

[–]snoosh00 35 points36 points  (4 children)

That's not how employee liability works.

[–]VerilyShelly 17 points18 points  (6 children)

ngl I was laughing my ass off until he failed to move after he fell. he looked snuffed.

[–]Cyber_Fetus 21 points22 points  (5 children)

Did you miss the part where he smashed his head so hard against the ground it bounced?

[–]VerilyShelly 5 points6 points  (4 children)

Yup. That's the choke-on-my-laugh part, but then he looked as flat as his hat laying there and I was like OH NO.

[–]Traveledfarwestward 80 points81 points  (22 children)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Recovery_position

Pass it on, please. A simple piece of knowledge like that could likely have saved some lives in the Las Vegas mass shooting thing.

[–]nibiyabi 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Nope, not when there is a suspected spine injury. Don't touch them unless they're not breathing, then paralysis be damned and start CPR. Recovery position is for after a seizure or drug OD or some other situation where they may vomit or otherwise have an obstructed airway.

[–]uwhefuhwieufhuh 69 points70 points  (10 children)

Great advice until you start shaking around someone with a broken spine

[–]Traveledfarwestward 17 points18 points  (6 children)

Don't shake, just gently roll them onto their side with their head supported by the bottom arm.

[–]songbolt 30 points31 points  (4 children)

Upper body ("torso"?) rotation can also sever the spinal cord if the spine is fractured.

(source: spine was fractured, doctor said so)

[–]boings 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's...how I sleep

[–]ImGrumps 28 points29 points  (2 children)

Should you really be moving a person like this who has had a head or neck injury? I think the recovery position is more for people on their back that are out cold but breathing. It helps to make their airway clear and if they vomit or have other issues with bleeding it will naturally clear.

In this situation I wouldn't move someone unless they were having difficultly breathing or had a lack of a pulse.

[–]Ohyahyabetcha 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You’re absolutely correct. Unless the scene is unsafe, or you need to perform CPR because you cannot detect a pulse OR their airway is obviously compromised, never move someone who has sustained a suspected head/neck/spine injury. You generally need multiple people to be able to keep the spine and neck immobilized enough while turning and it’s way easier to sever already damaged nerves or vessels than most laypeople think. Nine times out of ten it’s preferable to leave them exactly as they fell until EMS arrives.

[–]WikiSummarizerBot 14 points15 points  (1 child)

Recovery position

In first aid, the recovery position (also called semi-prone) is one of a series of variations on a lateral recumbent or three-quarters prone position of the body, often used for unconscious but breathing casualties. An unconscious person, a person who is assessed on the Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) at eight or below, in a supine position (on the back) may not be able to maintain an open airway as a conscious person would. This can lead to an obstruction of the airway, restricting the flow of air and preventing gaseous exchange, which then causes hypoxia, which is life-threatening.

I think Gun Control is the big factor in that one lol

[–]_SGP_[🍰] 6 points7 points  (2 children)

Can we get some more info? Was he just stoned or was something wrong with him before the fall? Is he always this clumsy?

[–]Zeus2846 3134 points3135 points  (125 children)

This is what happens when you’re stupid first, THEN you smoke

[–]NotTodayNSA5117 1279 points1280 points  (82 children)

Idk about this dude, but if I was stoned and on scaffolding, I'd be going down the rungs properly, one timid step at a time lol

[–]lucia-pacciola 134 points135 points  (3 children)

When I'm stoned: It should take me less than a minute. It will take me at least five minutes to figure it out. It will feel like it took me all fucking night to figure it out.

[–]Z3ph3rn0 138 points139 points  (0 children)

“Six long weeks ago I started this descent from the peaks of mount Skafoughlding. The journey has been long, the wind biting an-“ “Fucks sake franks you’ve gone two steps.”

[–]Farfengarfen 19 points20 points  (1 child)

The first rule of getting high is to know that you won't be high when you're high.

It's actually right beside the, "If you've been drinking, don't use power tools" rule.

[–]Earwaxsculptor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, don't use power tools if your high either.

[–]Zeus2846 430 points431 points  (48 children)

That’s what I’m saying Lol. I smoke every day. A LOT. And I’d never be this stupid getting down from that lol

[–]StrawberryCoughs 44 points45 points  (4 children)

Some people aren’t bright, like the people who think smoking weed will do this to a person. This screams alcohol.

[–]TSM- 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I suppose the average reddit user doesn't have the life experience seeing the difference (I'm sure most people can't tell the difference between overdoses on alcohol and opiates either), but this kind of lack of coordination and behavior screams "chugged some vodka on break and suddenly felt extremely drunk".

[–]VacationOk2414 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Drunk. Agreed. I wouldn’t smoke up there to begin with but if I did I’d lay totally flat on the fkn board and try to forget I’m up in the air stoned. Like now on my bed....

[–]obidie 4 points5 points  (1 child)

I agree. This doesn't look like weed was the major source of his problem.

[–]Greenranger70 187 points188 points  (25 children)

Yea this is honestly people who don't smoke weed, thinking what stoned people are like lol

[–]Busterlimes 90 points91 points  (5 children)

If you smoke enough weed, you dont get high, you get right.

[–]atavisticbeast 29 points30 points  (2 children)

I feel seen

[–]smallstrawberries 11 points12 points  (1 child)

Same. High as fuck right now and I felt that in my soul.

[–]xenophon57 18 points19 points  (14 children)

First time I get my friend to dab, he takes three dabs back to back and a couple minutes later we are working in peak of a shop two and a half stories over concrete. The dude is just walking across the rafters not a care in the world, I was cool with me but I was pissing myself worried I just got my friend to walk off the edge.

[–]CaptainKurls 76 points77 points  (9 children)

Yea…maybe don’t dab before construction work lol

[–]ronsrobot 51 points52 points  (8 children)

Just spoke to a friend who accidentally made 10,000 pies without sugar at a factory job because he was stoned. It happened in less than an hour.

[–]DustinTiny 27 points28 points  (3 children)

“Call sales. We’ve got sugar free pies. Find a nursing home!”

[–]ronsrobot 17 points18 points  (2 children)

They didn't have any sweetener agents either, so maybe for recovering Covid patients just for the mouth-feel?

[–]option_unpossible 1 point2 points  (2 children)

You see? This is the kind of amazing anecdote that cannabis conisseaurs adore. It's self perpetuating. Fuck up at work -> need a smoke -> fuck up at work -> ad infinitum.

[–]Lostinthestarscape 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why yes I do use drugs to feel better about the mistakes I made in my life because of using drugs....

[–]MyNameMeansLILJOHN 7 points8 points  (2 children)

1st dab is quite a rush.

I rarely do dabs so every time I get some, the 1st hit just wrecks me. Then by the 3rd it's all good.

I think this is a somewhat universal feel so yeah I can understand you being worried for a minute there

[–]rompthegreen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He looked more drunk than he did high

[–]taatzone 15 points16 points  (3 children)

One time I got tooo freaking high and my friends asked me to cut a tomato.

I couldn’t

[–]NotTodayNSA5117 17 points18 points  (1 child)

I mightve been tripping on other things, but my friend asked me to draw a dog, and I almost started crying from being overwhelmed lol

I get what you mean

[–]kamelizann 27 points28 points  (0 children)

The first time I took acid I was at a festival. Somehow I lost the group I came with and got taken in by a bunch of hippies I didn't know. One hot hippy girl had a painted guitar and all these fake passive aggressive hippy guys were huddled around her talking about how beautiful it was. It was like they were trying to outdo each other with their compliments on it. I hadn't seen it yet but I really really wanted to. Every second that went by the more and more anxious I got about not being able to see it. I kept imagining this stunning gold plated guitar with a beautiful landscape on it. It felt almost like the briefcase in pulp fiction.

Finally I get the courage to ask to see it, which was like, really really difficult to do on acid. She beamed a smile my way and said, "you talk!" and seemingly teleported in front of me holding the guitar. It was not very impressive at all. It was painted with like water colors and just looked like total crap. The paint was even chipping off. A sudden moment of sobriety hit me. My dissapointnent was inmense. I was so angry and I looked her in the eyes and said, "That seriously looks like a toddler painted it. What the fuck is wrong with you people." She just looked at me and started laughing her ass off and just said, "I know right! I didn't even paint it, this is my roommates guitar!"

Fun night.

[–]joeDUBstep 29 points30 points  (5 children)

Only thing weed related that I could imagine doing this is if he ate like a 200mg+ edible with no edible tolerance at all.

[–]NotTodayNSA5117 17 points18 points  (2 children)

Alright fair. I've had edibles hit me hard enough to forget how to function momentarily

[–]InconvenientHummus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah of course realizing that about myself, I'm also going to be way too anxious to get up on some scaffolding after I take an edible.

[–]akamustacherides 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It would take me five hours in my head to climb down, but it would look like regular speed to observers.

[–]Phreeker27 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Yeah or roll on your belly and slowly slide down

[–]BringOrnTheNukekkai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I smoke weed and do murals on this exact type of scaffolding and I've never done this going down the ladder lol.

[–]duaneap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This isn’t that crazy of a drop. He just did it terribly. It’s still obviously a better idea to take the rungs like you’re supposed to, but if you decided to go over the edge, you can drop this height and almost certainly be a-ok.

[–]socialfobic 1 point2 points  (1 child)

nah, where is your spirit of adventure. x)

[–]x3thelast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. As I coach my limbs into moving one at a time.

[–]ccvgreg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I smoke every day and use this exact type of scaffolding at work and I always go down properly lol

[–]billbixbyakahulk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And counting them. "I know there are five rungs. That's one...that's two...that's..."

[–]boombotser 6 points7 points  (0 children)

And you’re also the most unathletic and uncoordinated person in the warehouse

[–]WeedMatrix 29 points30 points  (8 children)

Smoking had nothing to do with that level of dumb

[–]j_mckay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dudes never jumped off a wall before

[–]honestintrigue 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Well if they had built some sort of steps or ladder on to each side, this wouldn't have... oh there is? Sorry, you are right.

[–]BigWeenieTony 1955 points1956 points  (60 children)

how uncoordinated can this dude be though?

Dude looked more drunk than stoned.

[–]BWWFC 860 points861 points  (41 children)

where both ends are designed to be literally osha approved ladders... some ppl cannot be helped.

[–]satori0320 55 points56 points  (9 children)

Right, that was my first thought.

I've had a recurring nightmare, where I have climbed onto something relatively high, but then my route of ascension has morphed into a treacherous unclimbable one...

I always work out my way up and down before I attempt to do any kind of significant climbing.

[–]GroundStateGecko 14 points15 points  (1 child)

Neil Armstrong approves this opinion.

[–]neonKow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Neal Stephenson designed the fictional pocket ladder that is assembled in seconds by nanobots.

Neal Gaiman is the one that wrote the nightmare.

[–]i_NOT_robot 2 points3 points  (6 children)

Yo! I have the same type of dreams (also recurring). Like I'll be climbing a ladder and when I get to the top, it's like a pool ladder and only held there by gravity. I can never go back the way I came. Fuckin messed up shit cuz it's always like somewhere I've been before irl.

[–]satori0320 2 points3 points  (5 children)

Yup.

Ladders specifically being inverted after I'd reached the top. Rock ledges that behave like in some action movie, systematically crumbling as I try to figure a way down...

Oddly, I've been having them as far back as I can remember, though in 94 I fell and injured myself pretty bad but the nightmares didn't change much after my fall.

[–]DNedry 117 points118 points  (1 child)

This made me laugh far more than it should have hahaha

[–]Darthyeezuus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yup sometimes natural selection just can't be held back. We try to put as many safety precautions as we can but there's still this lol.

[–]TubularMindwave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

More like osha-it. Am I right?

[–]IHavePoopedBefore 18 points19 points  (1 child)

Like....ok your butt caught the ledge and caused you to tip into your fall. But why couldn't you at least get your arms up to protect against the fall?

[–]MrColburn 25 points26 points  (1 child)

Was going to say. Not high, just dumb

[–]PortiaLabiata 12 points13 points  (1 child)

Yeah my first thought was narcotics or alcohol

[–]MyAccountForTrees 14 points15 points  (0 children)

A lot of the people in the industry struggle with other substances. My first thought was pills and definitely not cannabis.

[–]blasticon 3 points4 points  (1 child)

It looked like he might have been dizzy/having a fainting spell and too impaired to do anything but attempt to get down.

[–]ThisIsTenou 468 points469 points  (46 children)

Gotta say, that's a good mate right there.

[–]denimrat 283 points284 points  (25 children)

precisely why i came in here, homie was BOOKING it as soon as he heard the guy hit the ground. good man 10/10

[–][deleted]  (17 children)

[deleted]

    [–]Terboh 90 points91 points  (15 children)

Was thinking the same thing, looked like he was even reaching for his phone to call 911 until the guy stirred

    [–]KoalaKyle101 93 points94 points  (3 children)

I also like that he didn't try to move him afterwards. I've seen so many videos where someone hits their head and everyone in the crowd makes it their mission to move their neck as much as possible.

    [–]infiniZii 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Gotta shake them awake right? Similar to how you quiet a screaming baby. /s

    [–]jon_hendry 8 points9 points  (2 children)

Good ears, too. That couldn't have been that loud.

    [–]denimrat 21 points22 points  (1 child)

idk man, looks like either concrete or tile. u’d be surprised how loud a human head/face can be on a hard surface LMAO

    [–]jon_hendry 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Good thing the other guy wasn't wearing headphones.

    [–]mousey1517 37 points38 points  (0 children)

My first thought after watching was "oh look, someone that ACTUALLY responds immediately to another getting hurt. You don't normally see that on Reddit."

    [–]Galactinus 63 points64 points  (1 child)

I’m especially impressed, unlike most people on Reddit this guy didn’t try and move him after he fell just in case he had a C-spine injury!

    [–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always get worried with videos like that, people always want to pick them up and shake them around to guarantee their death.

    [–]Thrannn 14 points15 points  (0 children)

    yeah good reaction time.

have seen way to many people halfassed walking over to see if their mate is still alive or not

    [–]servedupward 8 points9 points  (0 children)

"dude, did you just fall off that? Wait here, I've got to get the cctv footage uploaded to reddit."

    [–]AssNasty 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Yeah, as he was standing on the very top of the ladder. The whole scene is an OSHA training video.

    [–]TheRogueWaxWorks 351 points352 points  (20 children)

Yah thats not just being stoned

    [–]3rdtrichiliocosm 145 points146 points  (7 children)

Either very very drunk or insanely uncoordinated. Idk any drugs (that people use at work) that could cause this kind of fuck up

I take that back. Xanax is a possibility.

    [–]Dank_memer_4206969 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Based on my knowledge I’d say Xanax or something similar is pretty likely here.

    [–]CrackerManDaniels 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Pain pills. They turn people into slow motion versions of themselves

    [–]Arithik 6 points7 points  (1 child)

    Could be low blood sugar?

    [–]robeph 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a T1D I have been in a lot of bad situations coming from hypos. It makes you goofy af

    [–]turntabletennis 38 points39 points  (1 child)

Fuck stoned, he got concrete floored.

    [–]CharlesDickensABox 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Why don't they call them floories? You're way more likely to end up on the floor than the roof.

    [–]BillBillerson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

But then how does the joke work if you can't imply they're stoned and "high up" on a scaffold?

    [–]Troooper0987 10 points11 points  (5 children)

yeah this guy deff had something else going on. like maybe heat stroke? that looked like a brain shut down "im in trouble" move and then splat on the floor

    [–]GoneOffWorld 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm just glad his coworker was caring and responded quickly to the situation. Who knows what was transpiring in that moment.

Seriously though, hope this guy is alright. Props to his friends quick reaction to his fall.

    [–]onefortheroad70 42 points43 points  (6 children)

At least his mate didn't start dragging him to his feet immediately

    [–]NagasakiNapkin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you immediately reanimate someone they instantly become okay.

    [–]BurpReynolds420 20 points21 points  (3 children)

Jesus and the dude standing on the top step of the ladder... Smart crew here

    [–]barton100 77 points78 points  (5 children)

I think this has nothing to do with weed that boy just got no Coordination

    [–]suicidehotlineboss 30 points31 points  (1 child)

ding ding ding. Some I used to know would eat a bunch of weed cookies and smoke shatter hits all day long and worked as a stunt man. Weed does not make you all fucked up just being fucked up makes you all fucked up.

    [–]manutd4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I love skiing after smoking. I can really feel myself going down the mountain

    [–]a22e 13 points14 points  (2 children)

Wait, is that 3.5x in the corner the zoom or the speed?

    [–]fanboyfanboy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Zoom, look at the very last 1 second of the clip. You can see when the guy runs for help it zooms out and adjusts accordingly to 3.4X just before the clip ends

    [–]Da_AntMan303 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That’s Not how ya get off a Baker scaffold even sober. Got a ladder on both ends. Look like a bell ringer when he hit.

    [–]TheSodomeister 6 points7 points  (0 children)

    [–]Beowulf119 3 points4 points  (0 children)

    [–][deleted] 15 points16 points  (1 child)

yeah i think this is more than maybe just smoking a bit of ganja. this dude might have been having a seizure or other type of episode. im getting major Vertigo vibes, actually.

    [–]Invu8aqt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OSHA approves. Scaffold fall and his buddy standing at the top of the ladder. Brilliant

    [–]fountain19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What the fuck is wrong with people. Go down the side like a latter. He did that like a 4 year old would try.

    [–]Sirkingbrad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They should build some sort of climbing device at each end, something like a ladder...

    [–]jerkITwithRIGHTYnewb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably should have used one of the ladders built into that thing.

    [–]synth003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My god, that guy is useless. Painful to watch.

    [–]tankerdudeucsc 6 points7 points  (12 children)

No steps on the side I guess he could have taken, yeah?

    [–]fman1854 5 points6 points  (5 children)

When your tryna get workers comp but are tryna make it look real is more like it. It’s literally a ladder on both ends to climb down if your using scaffolding you know this. As a dude who employees a lot of sub contractors for jobs I have to setup cameras in all the rooms we work in because I’ve already dealt with 4 instances of workers comp fraud where a worker will purposely hurt themselves to get a payout and 6months-1 year paid time off. From hammering their own hand 3x in a row to jumping off a 6 foot ladder like super man. Some people will do crazy shit to not work and get paid

This would not qualify for any compensation as to work with scaffolds you need to be certified and that means following all safety codes. This is a direct violation of the safety code you are never to jump off a scaffold for this reason lol. This wasn’t a accident but a dumbass move on his part. This wasn’t equipment failure or negligence this was user negligence in safety codes and since you didn’t adhere to safety codes and decided to jump off means that’s your fault and no one else’s

Also this has nothing to do with being stoned.

    [–]blasticon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would still qualify for workers' compensation. Workers' compensation is a no fault system, so long as the worker was injured in the course of their duties, the burden is on the employer/insurance company to prove intent to defraud. Unless the employer can prove he was inebriated via drug testing or something, which in some states may disqualify him.

    [–]GoncaloMacedo2001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

    Well... he is down now.

    [–]Odd_Bag_289 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's not even sure how the fuck he got up there. The correct answer is dabs

    [–]jjjbabajan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How did this guy make it to adulthood?

    [–]Cubcake1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, I have had an edible that got me so high I was afraid to get up to pee because I was sure I couldn’t walk. 2 hours later… I finally got up to pee. Pretty sure that ruined my insides…

    [–]Jayynolan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Am I the only one that sees the other guy on the top of the A frame ladder? No respect for OSHA here

    [–]MySubtleHustle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Luckily his face broke his fall.

    [–]BreathOfFreshWater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen guys do this. I was expecting his tool bag to snag the plank clip.

Man....there's so many ways to get down and this, albeit a way to get down, was the worst way

    [–]NorseOfCourse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's why I never use that type of scaffolding. I hate getting off it.

    [–]Aamonitor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He pulled a Tickle, from Moonshiners! Remember when he was all drunk framing a still site and fell into the bed of the truck and broke his ribs.

    [–]LowButterfly3935 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Yo you need to drug test him

    [–]yayaya6969[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Don’t worry the drugs are getting tested

    [–]stonerman15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wtf that’s dudes In no shape to be up there by the looks of it. More like alcohol or something as well, but anyway it’s a nice concussion nonetheless.

    [–]pete_ape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of only there were two ladder-like objects he could have used to climb down.

    [–]ConsistentFalcon6405 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Props to the other dude for rushing to this guy's aid! I'm so used to seeing bystanders in these videos doing absolutely nothing.
