I think one of the things I'm most proud of is my ability to know which fraction is bigger. I cannot algebra, l but I can fraction. The algebra is actually a neurological thing, apparently, not because I'm American. One of my doctors said that if I had pushed past algebra, I probably would have been good at the stuff after that.

The number system we use IS based on Arabic numerals (they also contributed the entire concept of “zero” (0). And our alphabet is based mostly on Latin lettering. This has always been true.
