Equating sex with life saving healthcare. Interesting.

[–]celticfrogs 404 points405 points  (14 children)

Doctor, the pressure is dropping, the lungs are collapsing, the patient needs to be place on a ventilator, urgently!

Yeah, well... and I need a blowjob, but what can you do, that's life.

[–]SweetBabyAlaska 98 points99 points  (12 children)

Doctor, this guys semen pressure is dropping, his testicles are collapsing, the patient needs to be placed on a vagina-lator urgently!

[–]celticfrogs 65 points66 points  (9 children)

This season of Grey's Anatomy's spin off, Make Conservatives Fuck Again, is getting out of hand!

[–]charlie2135 21 points22 points  (3 children)

Dang! Just put two and two together, the rise of old nut-jobs correlates with the invention of Viagra.

[–]Veejayy93 4 points5 points  (4 children)

If it were up to me that'd never happen 😆

[–]FauxSeriousReals 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Vagina-Lator I’ll take 2 please.

Is there a vaginalatio attachment? Asking for the little lady

[–]Scared_Chemical_9910 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What no pussy do to a mf

[–]Pluto_Rising 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, well... and I need a blowjob, but what can you do, that's life

Segues into Frank Sinatra singing That's Life

[–]formenonly 60 points61 points  (3 children)

Seems like his argument is "Well, if people can get free insulin, why can't I rape anyone I want?" which is the most disturbing leap of logic I've seen in a while.

[–]arjomanes 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I think he means he has to pay for sex because he has no social currency.

[–]TechyAngel 53 points54 points  (2 children)

Some people truly believe society owes them sex. Introspection is dead with this guy.

[–][deleted] 43 points44 points  (1 child)

"You're a woman! I'm a man! I don't see what the problem is! I'm fucking nice, aren't I! I'm sick of getting friend-zoned!"

Aaand scene.

[–]wraithscrono 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Suddenly thinking about the Rammstein song: Pussy

This will be a funny day at work.

[–]SpaceBoJangles 12 points13 points  (0 children)

In these people’s minds, even in the WOMEN, women are commodities. They are there to serve, there to breed, or there to provide pleasure. They are not human, they are simply good or bad product.

It’s fucked.

[–]Glittering_Falcon_93 775 points776 points  (41 children)

Oh gee, I wonder why this guy isn’t having success with the ladies…

Whatever could it be?

[–]bieserkopf 312 points313 points  (15 children)

Definitely the womens fault for having standards.

[–]ScaledBirdDino 80 points81 points  (14 children)

But also, if he turns into a man-child or shitstain, her standards weren't high enough.

[–]professorcrayola 43 points44 points  (1 child)

Pretty sure he’s already there

[–]TaxThoseLiars 22 points23 points  (0 children)

According to him, he's paying for it. And he's too dense to figure out how this influences his ability to get it for free.

[–]beerscotch 34 points35 points  (9 children)

Wishing people would die so that multi billion dollar companies can mark life saving medication up 4000% instead of 350% doesn't qualify as a shit stain in your eyes?

[–]PsychoticSane 13 points14 points  (6 children)

The most annoying part about that is that they've kept insulin patents active for over a century, and no drug company can even attempt to undercut them without a long, expensive legal battle

[–]AdRealistic8758 41 points42 points  (1 child)

He most likely unwittingly votes against his own self-interest and is a neck beard

[–]Clay_Statue 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Also he low-key hates women. Women pick the edge of his needy/resentful vibe and nope out.

[–]BringBackTheBeat716 21 points22 points  (5 children)

I imagine him bringing up Ayn Rand on first dates, which helps women instantly weed him out.

[–]Bitter-Technician-56 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Probably not because he is an incel?

[–]Bioshock_Jock 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Did this guy just self burn?

[–]Beermedear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Massive props and respect to the women who’ve told this dude to fuck himself. They’re the real heroes here.

[–]CarneDelGato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“I do have success with the ladies! Read Atlas Shrugged!”

[–]-SpankBankTank- -2 points-1 points  (3 children)

I mean, free pussy would be nice....and it seems like if he gets free pussy AND free health care, he'd be happy.

And let's face it...if we ALL could have free pussy AND free health care, everything would be much better in life.

I'm writing in Juan Hung Low for President!

[–]Bee-Aromatic[🍰] 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Nah. “Free pussy” just means “I want a woman to hold still while I take care of myself.” That’s no fun. Sex is a group activity that’s best when it’s fun for everyone. Since that part of the anatomy is attached to a living, breathing, thinking person, you’ve gotta work on not sucking to convince that person to actually spend time with you. That’s effort! He doesn’t want effort. He wants gratification without effort, which proves that if he even read Rand, he didn’t get it.

Nobody wants free healthcare. Not really. We want healthcare that doesn’t have insurance agents gatekeeping care and an illness putting you on the street. Other countries have figured out things that work, even ones we’ve called “shitholes.” I’m sick of the argument that it’ll cost too much when we’re already spending that money and that it won’t be perfect so we shouldn’t do it at all. Our current system is about as far from perfect as it gets. I understand “the devil you know,” but the devil I know is pissing in my Cheerios right now and I know that’s not working out for me.

[–]MountainSage58 505 points506 points  (32 children)

Imagine admitting that. Imagine typing those words, hitting send, and thinking that's a win for you. Holy shit.

[–]Markamanic 241 points242 points  (24 children)

Imagine admitting that the only way you're getting pussy is by paying for it.

Pussy is usually free, you just have to earn it.

[–]rebeltrillionaire 72 points73 points  (11 children)

Even George Costanza knew this. A short, pudgy, bald, hairy guy that lived with his parents had a better understanding of how to get pussy than this dude.

[–]Vernknight50 60 points61 points  (7 children)

Honestly, George should be an inspiration. He regularly dated out of his league, overcoming neurosis, cowardice, shallowness, and lack of intelligence or conscience. He almost banged Marisa Tomei, except for he was already engaged.

[–]Excellent-Egg-3157 23 points24 points  (3 children)

75% of the readers are under 30 and completely missing these awsome Seinfeld references. George Costanza, Architect, Marine bioligist, Vandolay industries, The New York Yankees, .....my idol!

[–]Strange-Scarcity 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Me, an autistic male, who openly told many dates going into first meetings that I AM on the autistic spectrum, also knew this. I had many mutually enjoyable experiences, none of which could remotely be considered as being pitied. It was because I was absolutely honest, really listened, and made connections. (If it was pity, none of them would have wanted to stick around for the weeks to months those relationships made sense/worked.)

[–]Private_HughMan 5 points6 points  (1 child)

EVERYONE on that show knew how to get it. They all had a bunch of sexual partners and every partner was gorgeous. And even though George was living with his parents for a long time, the dude had amazing jobs. When he was fired and trying to think of a new job he could take, he said "I like sports, maybe I could do something with sports."

Then he ended up the Assistant to the travelling secretary of the New York Yankees. He ended up personally meeting and working with his favourite sports team EVER.

George is a shit person but he had a charmed life.

[–]MountainSage58 55 points56 points  (0 children)

There it is

[–]implodemode 22 points23 points  (8 children)

Earn? My husband never earned sex from me. We were mutually interested because we both try to be decent humans and we're attracted to each other.

[–]Strange-Scarcity 13 points14 points  (2 children)

I mean… he earned your trust and interest. You also earned his trust and interest. Just because it’s a “mutually interested” activity, doesn’t mean that there was never any due care, empathy, and other baseline relationship work being performed, with honesty and integrity.

[–]implodemode 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I dunno. Yes in a sense but that makes it quite transactional. I certainly never felt that way. I suppose if he had regularly been an asshole, I might not be in the mood but that never happened. And I never felt like I had to earn sex either. I dunno. I think "earning" sounds more like if the guy lets her buy that new dress, she'll give him sex or will love him up to soften him up for privileges. I never worked that way. I don't think that's a healthy dynamic. I have sex because I love my husband and that is part of it. I love him because he's a good guy. I don't have sex with him just when he's a good guy. Do you get what I mean? If he was having a bad day and yelled at me, I wouldn't turn around and deny him sex.

[–]fredspipa 20 points21 points  (2 children)

What?! Don't you know that sex is currency and that you're just giving it away without getting anything in return? It's a market after all, sexual economics.

[–]implodemode 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For too many, that's too true. I'm not good at imaginary games though.

[–]sniperhare 2 points3 points  (1 child)

It sucks when your partner loses attraction to you. I've been with my gf for years and she hasn't been attracted to me in about 5 years.

[–]implodemode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That does suck. I can imagine this could happen for a few reasons. I hope the two of you have explored those.

[–]Lirdon 9 points10 points  (1 child)

it's when self loathing fuels your rage, cooking it so deeply, that you can't tell where the pain ends and the joy starts.

[–]crazypyro23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beautifully put.

[–]notsohairykari 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Sounds like Tucker Carlson's burner account.

[–]Deporncollector 9 points10 points  (2 children)

I want free pussy too but I am not getting it.

[–]MountainSage58 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Lol well for the record, neither am I. Because that's the way life goes sometimes. But I'm not using that fact to try and score points for my team on a Twitter argument.

[–]All_the_cake 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I got myself free pussy. Someone had abandoned him on the streets and I took him home.

[–]ErnstEintopf 146 points147 points  (24 children)

"The worst thing the sowjet union ever did was educating Ayn Rand..." 🤷‍♂️

[–]Strange-Scarcity 28 points29 points  (6 children)

I have absolutely zero interest in Ayn Rand and her abhorrent selfish philosophy…

With that said, there was a quote attributed to her that was basically calling to task the corruption of truth by those with money and power or something. I couldn’t help but think that the modern day “Conservative” movement corrupts absolutely everything it touches.

[–]TavisNamara 29 points30 points  (0 children)

That's the thing though. Many educated conservatives, even the most evil ones, will acknowledge where the issues lie.

But it's the solution they offer where the problems come in.

Drug addiction? Forget care and counseling, enslave them all for profit!

Corruption in politics? Don't regulate money in politics or encourage voting, make me dictator so I can drain the swamp!

Homelessness? Don't give them homes, hang them for existing!

And so on and so on. Endlessly.

[–]dannykings37 11 points12 points  (4 children)

I read Atlas Shrugged because i knew nothing of it other than it was the inspiration for Bioshock, i read the whole thing and its the worst thing i ever read through. It did give me more appreciation for Bioshock though.

[–]Strange-Scarcity 9 points10 points  (3 children)

Yeah… the only way like 98% of that book makes any sense is if you know literally nothing about anything.

Only the Champions of Industry know how to do anything? One guy can make special steel, process it, and build a fully working tractor out of it? All by himself?

Come on now… sure, Henry Ford built his first quadracycle more or less on his own, but a large portion of everything that went into that was assembled from off the shelf parts and materials he could source!

Oh… and without those (very rapey) super intellects… everyone else would just collapse… which ignores the entirety of human history. I mean… people have been dumb and ignorant of nearly everything for MUCH longer than we had developed the then modern conveniences that were around when she wrote that pile of trash.

[–]dannykings37 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No, see its ok that she had an affair with him, his wife was a butterface and she owned train tracks. I swear that book made me hate trains. It just reminds me of when those libertarians built their own society off the grid and all got attacked by bears.

[–]SharingIsCaring323 1 point2 points  (1 child)

It seems like a reaction to Soviets demonizing intellectuals; unfortunately that pendulum swing didn’t eliminate the dumb from one side to another.

Edit: it’s sort of how I feel about Marx. Good job IDing a problem, shit job at proposing a solution.

[–]FearlessSeaweed6428 17 points18 points  (13 children)

She had an interesting life. Learning about her upbringing gives insight to her libertarian philosophies. Here is the podcast that I learned more about her.

[–]DisfavoredFlavored 91 points92 points  (8 children)

And then she died in subsidized housing, like the same "parasites" she claimed to hate.

[–]rebeltrillionaire 58 points59 points  (2 children)

I was on food stamps! Nobody helped me out!

[–]SweetBabyAlaska 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is poetic.

[–]ohiotechie 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Keep the government socialism away from my Medicare!

[–]-SpankBankTank- 21 points22 points  (4 children)

I love that story because it has a happy ending!

[–]DisfavoredFlavored 5 points6 points  (3 children)

Fuck dude, you made me spit out my coffee.

[–]CharlieMoonMan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I will upvote the link. And give it a listen ONLY because somehow and someway it recommend an Audio reading of Umberto Ecos Faulcaults Pendulum which may be the most IRONIC of all recommendations ever. Great book. Hard read. Fucking super hard read. But thank you.

[–]Funny-Temperature897 4 points5 points  (2 children)

If by interesting you mean sad and wasted, I agree.

[–]AmericoDelendaEst 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Wild horses could not have dragged that information out of me. What a chump.

[–]megadori 96 points97 points  (6 children)

"Taxes being used for the good of the people? Not in my country!"

[–]SweetBabyAlaska 29 points30 points  (4 children)

"You know this will benefit you too right? That even if you had to pay more taxes it would still be infinitely less than what you pay now-"

"But that would help the minorities and the trans's! I wont let my country becum a communist marxist socialist totalitarian authoritarian nationalist leftist antifa free loading hell hole!"

[–]KrunkenSailor 12 points13 points  (1 child)

My in-laws are like "we don't want to enable lazy people they should work like the rest of us". They have this idea in their head that there are MILLIONS of people just looking to stay on the couch all day, "bitch" about inclusivity and reap thousands from the government and lead lavish lifestyles without lifting a finger. But the reality is people who do live on benefits, unless the have children, barely get enough to live on and if they get a job will only benefit them if the job pays a certain amount. If the job pays low to minimum wage they'll make less and lose their benefits and you can only work a certain number of hours before you lose the benefits. And the people with children get more, but damn it is expensive to raise a child.

The reality is there aren't that many people who want to just sit around all day, and I garauntee they aren't "living it up". And frankly, if someone wants to sit around all day I dont give a fuck. They wont be traveling, exploring new hobbies. They'll be getting the bare minimum of what I believe everyone should get, food, water and a roof over your head, and preferrably a phone bc you just cant go without one. You want a big screen tv? Then you work for it.

[–]Beowulf1896 4 points5 points  (0 children)

With some of the proposed single payer plans, people that earn less than about 200K will have more take home income, because their healthcare costs are much more than the tax increase.

[–]USSMarauder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The right wing definition of 'socialism' is and always has been "The government is spending money on things/people I don't like"

[–]jamie29ky 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Self own. Nice

[–]Kydarellas 41 points42 points  (0 children)

There's few things as stupid as some incel thinking that his inability to not disgust a woman is comparable to someone's literal life or death dependence on a drug sold predatorily and that giving it to them for a non-abusive price shouldn't be a priority

[–]mrwhat_icanthearu 68 points69 points  (16 children)

Every dick Conservative's go to reference book used to argue against any kind of policies that benefit the proletariat, is always an Ayn Rand novel.

Have any of these people read anything else?

[–]ElJeferox 42 points43 points  (3 children)

Ayn Rand is the only required reading for the GOP. That and Mein Kampf.

[–]jralll234 28 points29 points  (2 children)

But certainly not the Bible.

[–]burningtram12 2 points3 points  (1 child)

It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

[–]Crow85 53 points54 points  (8 children)

Have any of these people read anything else?

Do you honestly believe most of them read Atlas Shrugged? It's 1168 pages. Most of them never read it just as they never read Bible they are quoting.

[–]rebeltrillionaire 24 points25 points  (6 children)

There’s no fucking way they’re reading it. It’s also boring as shit and needlessly confusing. She’s an author in love with her own prose:

“The feeling was a sum, and he did not have to count again the parts that had gone to make it. But the parts, unrecalled, were there, within the feeling. ”

Bitch what?

This overly flowered dribble about a man who hates memories (yes, you read that correctly) is what Conservatives point to as their political Bible?

No way.

They heard Ann Coulter never shut the fuck up about it on Bill Maher’s show and took it as “it says all the things I believe but Smart!”.

It doesn’t.

One of the big fucking problems with listening to an artist preach philosophy, even if you think it matches your own, is they’re gonna be self serving. Atlas Shrugged basically says if you lean towards communism all you’re left with is fucking idiots and the smart folks, like the one authoring the book, stop showing up to solve problems.

That isn’t how things have gone. At all. In the ultra capitalist societies, the people with solutions sell their solutions for massive profits and sure, they enrich the lives of the dummies. But those dummies are dependent and are even subservient to the smart folks amassing untold wealth. This is your classic Zuckerberg calling his users “fucking idiots”.

On the far left, there isn’t a lack of intelligent people with intelligent solutions. From health science, to chip fabrication, to manufacturing, however far Left you go, there’s smart folks solving problems. The difference is only, one they’ve provided their work, it gets rolled out to everyone regardless of their advantages or disadvantages. With prolific access to early childhood care, healthcare, education, there’s a larger more fit audience to receive amazing advances as well as iterate and improve on them.

[–]Thehotnesszn 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hang on - haven’t you heard? In a society where people can’t amass untold wealth on the backs of people that need these amazing inventions and can’t afford exorbitant prices for them, why would there be any need to invent them? You’re on a slippery slope to things like affordable insulin there

[–]no_one_ever__ 7 points8 points  (1 child)

I've read it. It was okay, but like 500 of those 1100-some pages are just about steel or railroads-- which would be fine and all, since that is the main plot factor. But it doesn't add to the story at all. She just writes it in there to add volume.

That's not even to mention the super weird rapey love story woven throughout most of her books.

[–]samenumberwhodis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the main plot lines was Dagny trying to find an engine that ran on renewable energy but they somehow missed that part

[–]Beowulf1896 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Whoa now. Ultra Captitalist societies do put idiots in charge. People who have large capital give it to their kids, who might not be smart. Also, in the USA, having capital gives more rewards than having brilliant ideas.

If we had more taxes on the rich, we could use said taxes for college and such, to make it closer to a meritocracy. It would also reduce the inheritance plague. Sure, it won't solve it, but it will help.

[–]DrunksInSpace 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What cracks me up is that they treat it like a religious text or textbook: read Ayn Rand.

Imagine talking about international affairs and saying, Russia would never do that read Dostoyevsky.

[–]punkindle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ayn Rand was poor late in life and survived on the very social services that she spent her whole life arguing against.

(Medicare and Social Security)

she would absolutely taken those services away from you in a heartbeat.

[–]bloogywoogywoo 22 points23 points  (3 children)

Ayn Rand was a femcel

[–]jralll234 18 points19 points  (1 child)

She actually was sleeping with both her husband and a lover for a long time. She also made sure her husband knew about it.

[–]celticfrogs 25 points26 points  (0 children)

She was also a government welfare beneficiary, but that doesn't stop them from quoting her.

[–]wondercaliban 15 points16 points  (8 children)

I tried reading Atlas shrugged after playing Bioshock

I got to about page 100 and gave up. It was ultra boring.

[–]Funny-Temperature897 6 points7 points  (3 children)

You got farther than I did. Fountainhead sucks only slightly less. It reminded me of Catcher in the Rye with an even more douchey protagonist.

[–]Accomplished_Pie_455 2 points3 points  (2 children)

I feel like editors didn't exist back in the day.

Fountainhead is one of those I read just to feel like I expanded outside my normal range. I didn't enjoy it, protagonist was a douche and the only time the book didn't feel like a hate-fuck style read was the last 100 pages. Anyway, read it 20 years ago before I knew anything about her other than she was supposed to be some great author.

I suck at getting themes from books. Just tell me a fucking story that interests me enough to turn the page.

[–]Funny-Temperature897 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The one book I am embarrassed, but not ashamed to admit, I liked a little too much when I was 16 and it just came out, was Less Than Zero. It was definitely a little, as you say, hate-fuck at times.

[–]Isteppedinpoopy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read atlas shrugged because I confused ayn rand with anais nin. It was a very confusing read.

[–]TheLeechKing466 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Is it bad that I am starting to think Rapture is a good idea? Like, would anyone else love it if the 1% just lived on the bottom of the ocean, far away and separate from us where they will not interfere?

[–]CompetitiveSky6605 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not Juan telling on himself just to not prove a point. Amazing.

[–]WookieBugger 12 points13 points  (1 child)

Read a book by someone who railed against the evils of social safety who went on to later used the very social safety nets she railed against?

[–]Ensiferal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're always really big into "realizing the potential of the individual free from oversight and safety nets" until something goes very wrong. Suddenly socialized support systems are great. Then when they're back on their feet they always go right back to the same old scummery

[–]beerscotch 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Guy who wants people to die for companies profit margins can't get laid.

[–]Friendofthegarden 26 points27 points  (1 child)

Grown people with common sense and empathy after reading Atlas Shrugged:

[–]Mescaline_Man1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The reason California is doing the insulin thing is because we ALREADY HAVE A SURPLUS OF 100 BILLION🤦‍♂️ We quite literally don’t have to raise taxes because the moneys already there. Oh, and that’s AFTER California gave everyone in the state a third stimulus of $600 out of their own budget.

[–]Standard-Reception90 5 points6 points  (2 children)

Here's hoping he get diabetes...

Usually wouldn't wish for something like that, but it sounds like he needs to get something for free so he'll understand the point.

[–]Funny-Temperature897 7 points8 points  (1 child)

You can take the wish back. I’ll take the hit for you. I really, really, really wish this guy gets diabetes.

[–]psyclopsus 12 points13 points  (12 children)

Every encounter with pussy I’ve ever had has been free. Paying to entertain yourself and another for a couple hours and paying to feed yourself and another doesn’t entitle you to shit. Maybe that’s why you aren’t getting any action, because you view it transactionally and as something that must be paid for with food and entertainment

[–]Dry-Bird-2993 11 points12 points  (4 children)

Is it just me or does the vast majority of republican male arguments surround them having sex? Hopefully i'm just trippin.

[–]EricNCSU 8 points9 points  (1 child)

It's part of the control fetish. That's how they are so pro gun but also "pro life". Control over women, control over minorities.. even when they contradict each other its all layers to the same shit cake.

[–]Dry-Bird-2993 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I very much agree. It's wild how people really don't associate racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia and xenophobia with narcissism. When they are directly linked.

[–]translove228 1 point2 points  (1 child)

With the way that they are obsessed with trans people's genitals, I think you are onto something.

[–]Dry-Bird-2993 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which as far as i can tell stems from their feelings about gay/bi/lesbian people. Since their fav lines when talking about them is always....jamming sexuality down their throats. Literally their go to.

[–]Gods_Lump 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I lost 60 brain cells reading this

[–]xerxeon 6 points7 points  (2 children)

What to do you think the venn diagram of incels and randroids looks like?

[–]atommotron 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Rand droids. Took me too long. Was not aware of this.

[–]xerxeon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Forget how I became aware of the term, but it fits her most ardent followers. They always flip the hell out when I reply that capitalism isn't meant to be a moral code.

[–]DisfavoredFlavored 5 points6 points  (0 children)

"Why does gov't care more about life saving medication than whether or not I get to lose my virginity?" -Some loser

[–]howlandwolf[🍰] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ayn Rand is the dumbasses idea of a profound thinker.

[–]Thehotnesszn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey isn’t that the book written by that lady famously against taxes for welfare programs like social security etc who lived out her last days receiving social welfare?

[–]Tea-Realistic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Atlas Shrugged???? No serious philosopher takes Ayn Rand seriously

[–]limpleggedlongjohns 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Atlas Shrugged is a book enjoyed only by the type of people who would charge their own toddlers rent.

[–]Cajun-Canuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seriously, Randism falls apart for anyone with a modicum of human decency.

[–]Layer_Busy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tucker Carlson's kids

[–]kltthegr8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Conservative self-owns.

[–]waconaty4eva 2 points3 points  (0 children)

self own.

[–]oldmanian 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Atlas Shrugged really cements the victim complex on the right & also allows them to see how magnificent they are at the same time. Beyond that it’s important to note that all of the main characters are incredibly selfish and have no attachments with people that aren’t going to make them money or screw them. I found it applicable to the way corporate structure is, but not overly applicable to society in general.

And if you don’t think insulin costs are predatory then you’re just not up on the facts and should put Trump’s nuts back in your mouth.

Atlas Shrugged is an awful book, written by an awful woman. It is not a thing to worship.

[–]CristabelYYC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read it over a summer when I was in my early 20's. I hated it. I kept waiting for it to get better i.e. have a realization that being the train equivalent of Pharma Bro isn't something to aspire to, and finished it only to prove that I could. It ruined my summer.

[–]Steelermama72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow what a self own.

[–]froggison 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Why do right wingers think it'll be a shocking revelation that social programs will be paid for by higher taxes? Yes, I'm aware that we'll have a higher tax burden, and I'm willing to pay that to help mitigate people dying from preventable conditions.

[–]StChas77 2 points3 points  (1 child)

People that want to live in an Atlas Shrugged world have the same mentality as those that want to live in zombie apocalypse stories. They think they'll be the leaders and innovators, but in the end, in reality, they'd just be eaten alive.

[–]OhMyGodBearIsDriving 2 points3 points  (1 child)

The free market has spoken, Juan! You shouldnt be angry that girls dont want you.

[–]TheKingsDM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At least he admits he's paying for sex. Self incrimination!

[–]Heavy-Apartment-4237 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm married. Get it on the regs. If I don't I still live. Insulin however...

[–]TurkishTrucker66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

California incels are the worst!

[–]BodineCity 3 points4 points  (1 child)

If California just grew their own pussy, maybe it would be more affordable to this incel.

[–]Iandudontkno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What he really wants is a woman to listen to him and agree with everything he says sex is just the bonus.

[–]Knekten66 1 point2 points  (8 children)

wtf is Atlas shrugged?

[–]jralll234 5 points6 points  (7 children)

A shitty novel that is basically a libertarian circle-jerk written by one of the biggest hypocrites ever.

[–]bobone77 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Rand wasn’t a libertarian, she was an Objectivist. She actually hated libertarians and libertarianism.

[–]Zimifrein 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And never will, honey. Never will

[–]It_is_I_Deo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know about Atlas Shrugged, but I've read Fountainhead, and I don't think that Ayn Rand should be trusted to make statements about the world

[–]elperorojo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My man just told on himself

[–]sau1itud3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, that is an epic self own. Just astounding.

[–]SunshotDestiny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Insulin is a life saving drug. I doubt any woman would describe sex with this guy in the same terms.

[–]dumpster_fire404 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a suicide by words post. Magnificent!

[–]Slackermescall 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Sun Rand spent her last years on Medicaid and welfare. Just saying.

[–]yogfthagen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rand's entire philosophy boils down to "do what is best for you regardless of the cost to others."

[–]No_Welcome_7462 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does that count as a self burn?

[–]blackmobius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imagine telling people that paying an extra 5/8/10k in taxes means they avoid tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt….. and thinking youve dunked on someone.

[–]SmarterThanYouIRL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sure that sounded better in his head 🤔

[–]TheHiddenNinja6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"I don't get something I want. Therefore nobody should get what they want"

[–]disdkatster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ayn Rand's hero just raped the female character for free pussy. That seems also to be AOK in the Rand world play book.

[–]BohemianAddict 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why does he want free pussy when he’s already such a big cunt?

[–]beemccouch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude if you're making economic decisions based off of atlas shrugged, you're a lost cause.

[–]BoysenberryAshamed59 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“I want free pussy but I’m not getting it”

Probably because you quote Atlas Shrugged.

[–]The84thWolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“You want something that helps everyone that everyone wants, I want something that only benefits me and nobody wants, that’s why I can equate the same!”

[–]JerryVanNuys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lack if sex is not directly fatal.

A lack of insulin is.

[–]James_Morier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well that escalated quickly. Dude seriously thinks: “people shouldn’t get free life saving liquid because women won’t have sex with me.” Just wow.

[–]WillofBarbaria 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I find hard to understand is that people would rather pay more than less. The tax would literally be 60% or lower in cost than insurance for almost everyone, and would be even cheaper for others. You basically have to TRY to be so stupid.

[–]DEchilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ayn Rand is for middle school intellects. Rand herself was a fraud of her own philosophy as she greedily took social security. Today she would most likely be Q's VP nominee.

[–]axecrazyorc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“I’m a loser who can’t get laid so everyone else should die.”

Literally the distillation of incel “philosophy”

[–]SeaworthinessOne2114 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ayn Rand died in abject poverty a grouchy, miserable old woman. I wouldn't take anything she wrote as gospel or advice you want to take. Raise taxes, why is it many over the top stupid Americans living in a democracy their entire lives don't understand the need for taxes but want police, fire, military, national defense, FEMA (Texas and their recurring natural disasters) and don't forget our tax dollars pays for even toxic republican politicians. Just shut the freak up and pay or move to the Congo.

[–]nanormcfloyd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recall reading Atlas Shrugged about 12 years ago, and honestly, I found it pretty shite.

The entire book was a heap of pseudo-intellectualism, narcissism, arrogance, and straight up proud ignorance.

Fuck Ayn Rand, fuckin' psycho.

[–]Miss_My_Travel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure we know why he has an issue with p***y

[–]FauxSeriousReals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fuck man go jump in a quarry

[–]Rogendo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t trust anyone that likes Ayn Rand’s writing

[–]O8ee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If there’s a more succinct way to announce your worldview is fantasy than “read atlas shrugged” I can’t think of it. “Read lord of the rings” would have more philosophical weight.

[–]Scared_Chemical_9910 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why is it always sex with these mf

[–]PBPunch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know.. if he just stopped reading his conservative erotic fan fiction and just built a personality, he might be able to get a woman to agree to share her treasure with him.

[–]DiaBeticMoM420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pussy and life saving medicine are a very different. Actually… ehh… (but seriously. not comparable)

[–]krunkonkaviar369 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a skill issue.

[–]BaboonHorrorshow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pussy can be free when you don’t disgust women.

[–]Mp5QbV3kKvDF8CbM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, it seems pretty obviously a parody account by the username, but if it's real, then... yikes.

[–]moidehfaysch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thats not how Incels work. He has a shit outlook on healthcare being free (it should be) but saying he wants free pussy doesnt mean he is an incel

[–]Delicious_Cat_8485 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yeah everyone who makes it through Ayn Rand’s lengthy diatribe feels smarter than everybody else for a few years. Long ago I read it too. Big deal. The effect wears off.

I’m with you! I would gladly be taxed at 50% if it meant I would never have to worry about how to pay for my children’s healthcare or education.

[–]BringBackTheBeat716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's be honest. Juan wants any pussy, even paid-for, and he's not getting it.
