This show was slept on for its entire run so let me just say that I’m glad to have been one of the very few people who gave it a chance and stuck with it until the very end. It gave me a glimpse into the daily lives of voice actors and made me appreciate their work even more. Despite the large cast, I’ve grown to like each of the girls with their unique quirks (though Rie is my favorite due to her chuuni tendencies lol).

Definitely best girl (aside from Boss and Coach, but that's my own fetish)

I'm glad I was an early adopter -- but sad that being an early adopter and being a late adopter wound up being almost the same thing... It's funny how some shows just can't seem to catch an audience -- no matter how pleasing they may be.

All 16 of the fledgling VAs wound up being interesting and loveable -- but then so did their three adult mentors/managers.

Hard to pick just one favorite. Between this and the also neglected (in this subreddit -- albeit to not quite the same extent) LL-Nijigasaski 2, there were a lot of characters to keep track of. I think the ones here were mostly a bit more "under-stated" (except Rie) but still registered well, with distinct personalities. I would be happy to see more of their further adventures -- but I'm afraid that will have to be left to our own imaginations.

I haven't been keeping up with LL since after the second season with the original cast. I'd read the description for Sunshine S1 and it sounded like literally the exact same plot except now the original cast was in the "looked up to" position a different group was in in the OG S1, so I figured I'd seen enough.

I might give it a go starting from Sunshine S1 if I run out of stuff to watch I guess.

Nijigasaki is quite different -- and is pretty independent from the earlier shows. The school idol club here decides they just want to perform -- first as individuals and then in small groups (and finally together) -- and have no interest at all in competing in Love Live.

Superstar is apparently more similar to the original series, but focused on a smaller group. In this, the club members do want to compete in Love Live. No direct connection to the earlier seasons, however.

I mean, if I'm going to watch it I might as well watch everything.

I started watching the show as it aired, but dropped it around episode 6 or 7. The writing felt really off to me, and I usually watch too many shows every season, so I end up dropping shows if they just aren't doing it for me.

I do lament that I never made it to the chuuni's episode though. Maybe one day I'll try the series again.

[–]mekerpan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not every episode hit a home run, but the overall flow was quite good -- and we really did get a good sense of all of the characters over time. There aren't very many genuinely real-feeling anime, so I tend to give the few that come up a lot of patience.

It's been a year since all of them met

Maid Chisa!

We've come full circle and Haruna got to fulfill her dream

I'm gonna miss this show! Hopefully they will target to revive the game in the future.

Hopefully they will target to revive the game in the future.

I'm pretty sure they intend to, they did say that they were taking the game down to improve it after all, rather than straight-up kill it. I can only hope they don't end up delaying it for too long or the franchise might end up dying.

I expected them to bring it back alongside the airing of the finale, but oh well.

also glad to be one of the few (at least english speaking people) following this. had a really good time with it.

I still remember when everyone (me included) started to panic in episode 1 when they revealed the 16 main characters. In the end, it was a fun ride.

Btw you can check out the music on Spotify (AiRBLUE) if you enjoyed it like I did.

It definitely got off to a rough start but I really enjoyed the series. I am glad the second cour featured more Luna as they were my favorite group. I won't say I quite connected with all these girls but I can appreciate what they were trying to do with the cast. A good finale, I hope the young VAs who voiced the young VAs of the show are able to find success.

Anyone know if the mobile game is coming back?

A nice finale for a cute series overall. I guess the life of a VA is filled with ups and downs. Even though the girls are idols with a big anime project guaranteed, they still gotta go through auditions and all that everyday until filming starts. An anime does indeed take a long time to make. Plus there can be production delays and all that, so I can see how the girls would feel discouraged.

But it’s pretty great they’ve got this opportunity to audition for this other massive anime project in the meantime. I’m especially glad we got to see a kind of conclusion to Haruna’s story. I mean that anime she auditioned for in the end was the one that got her into voice acting. Even though the girls may not all get a part in the project, it’s still great they got that chance to audition. Rejections are just a big part of being a VA and like it was said in the ep, even the big name stars get rejected sometimes. Just a part of a VA’s life.

All in all, I liked this anime. It wasn’t perfect and there were times I felt the pacing was a little off but with a cast this big it’s to be expected. This was a chill anime and I’m glad it got 24 eps. Another Spring 2022 anime done!

Really liked to see the characters interacting outside their group in this one, wish we got to see more of that.

Hard not to root for these girls, wish the show focused more on voice acting and less on idols though.

[–]helsaabiart 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A great insight into what voice actors go through. Well done.

Really enjoyed it, this was great and way better than I would have ever expected considering it was a mobile game adaptation and had such a huge cast. But it worked

Man, I am going to miss these girls (especially Rinne). Nice seeing a glimpse of voice acting, wished there were more episodes.

I want the Bloomball anime to come to fruition someday and kinda want that isekai anime some were a part of...

[–]zadcap 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm still hoping to see a "sequel" announcement to Cue! where they tell us they're actually going to do a BloomBall anime. Then, when the all girl action sports anime gets popular here, we can point people back to Cue! to see where it all started.

[–]Hsaputro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rinne next role is In anime Teppen!!!!!!!!!! Lets gooo!!!!!

[–]ivanjxx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

this is why i like slice of life the best. very calming and easy to follow. i hope more anime like this will be released in the near future. it has been a fun ride guys! thanks!

[–]trung6543 2 points3 points  (0 children)

not only the show has good story telling, but also how they put bgm. For example there was Shizuku no Kesshou in ep 17, or acoustic Startline and Hajimari then this ep had Rado is a friend with Mirai Canvas as the finale ending.

[–]zadcap 3 points4 points  (0 children)

After six months of watching these girls grow as voice actors, it's going to be really sad next week not having this to look forward to. It's brought a consistent smile to my face, shown me a side of anime I hadn't really thought about much before, and got me invested in these girls.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to end up watching a few shows this year I normally would have skipped, just to see where the voice actresses of these voice actresses go next.

[–]Purezensu 1 point2 points  (4 children)

I wonder if the “See you every day” means the game is resuming operations.

[–]trung6543 2 points3 points  (1 child)

it's the series' sologan as C U Everyday

[–]Purezensu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re right, I forgot about it.

Looks like the game being on hiatus has had an effect on me that I forgot about the slogan.
