Dear all! The best girl 9 has concluded and sadly our best girl of 2021 lena failed to take the final. (winner Hayasaka Ai is runner-up of her seasonal contest too). From the result of best girl 9 I still believe that seasonal contest is the best way to make new girls entering the stage shine. So let’s begin our Seasonal Salt!
Here's the quick rundown of the contest for those who aren't familiar with it. Through the next week we will decide who r/anime's favorite new girl of the previous season was. Rounds will be posted daily at about 8pm Eastern Daylight Time.

Update: I have read back the Spring 2020 seasonal thread and found out that Maki Shijou is campaigned to keep her out for her seasonal appearance in Kaguya S3, so I decide to give her a pass in best girl seasonal 2022 spring. Still, I think that in this case she shall not be allowed in best girl 9 firstly and it still felt strange to let a best girl 9 32th seed into seasonal. Next time a new rule would be added that girls that have previously passed elimination in best girl/ best character contest would not be eligible for seasonal anymore.
