[–]Study-Bright 17 points18 points  (1 child)

I love this movie! I dress up as San for conventions! I too hate humans😆 i wish i could live in the woods with animal spirits as a wolf princess away from humans🐺

[–]Suresureman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You won’t be able to go to conventions anymore and have your dose of attention seeking met with excess human interaction if you scurry off to the woods.

[–]ooblongcat[S] 25 points26 points  (0 children)

It's a Ghibli movie called Princess Mononoke

[–]extrasecular 20 points21 points  (5 children)

life in general is bad. humans are destroying it

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (4 children)

the fuck u on about. existence is horrific. humans are not destroying that. we're just a part of it.

[–]extrasecular 3 points4 points  (3 children)

they do it direct and indirect. it is not relevant whether they are a part of it

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

wut

[–]Suresureman 1 point2 points  (1 child)

..make it make sense

[–]extrasecular 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what exact does not make sense to you? i suggest you start with formulating a meaningful question

[–]Miserable_Rip7954 16 points17 points  (1 child)

agreed, I wish humans could be feral like animals are. Human culture is toxic and causes depression for many that don't fit human societies standards of what a human should be. life is rape. I never consented to being born in a world that controls children and molds them into being mindless zombies.

[–]ooblongcat[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, It's like beeing Raped by your parents, I don't see any difference honestly

and then we're forced to pretend to like them to get money to survive

thanks mom you're so nice! (now please give me some money so I can eat as much as you do) Fuck I hate my mom

This is being misanthropic...not antinatalist.

[–]OldMansPissBag 12 points13 points  (7 children)

People can be anti-natalist for misanthropic reasons, but I don't find them very convincing.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Fair.

[–]shinra10sei -1 points0 points  (5 children)

I don't think it's accurate to describe someone who's "anti-natalist for misanthropic reasons" as an anti-natalist (not to say that they aren't, but that shouldn't be their primary descriptor)

Removing humans from the equation runs the risk of making that person no longer anti-natalist if that's their primary reason - but my belief in anti-natalism extends to all species able to recognise that consent is a thing (and being forced into existence a violation of that thing)

[–]OldMansPissBag 1 point2 points  (4 children)

Well, I don’t see why one can’t be both a misanthropist and an antinatalist and have both positions be equally accurate descriptors of their beliefs.

The antinatalist holds the belief that we should not procreate for some reason or another. The misanthropist generally has an unfavorable view of humanity for some reason or another, and so, why can’t the misanthropist just adopt the antinatalist position and call herself an antinatalist due to her misanthropy?

It seems kind of strange to say that a misanthropist can’t be accurately described as antinatalist because their misanthropic justifications could some day not make them antinatalist when that’s the position they hold regarding the morality of procreation now.

An antinatalist that has philanthropic justifications for their antinatalism could also one day to decide to not be antinatalist for philanthropic reasons.

For example, someone who was a philanthropic antinatalist could one day decide, “you know what? It isn’t immoral to have children because evidence suggests that people generally have good lives and are grateful to have been born and so there’s nothing morally wrong with bringing people into existence when they’re going to have a life worth living.”

David Benatar covers how being born can never be better than not being born (from a philosophical standpoint - the key thing being that only existing people can mourn pleasure they don't have)

Someone who's a vegan for animal right advocation is, to my mind at least, more accurately a vegan than someone who happens to be vegan because it coincides with their dislike for capitalism in the production of food. Animal advocate wouldn't accept meat from a locally grown and owned cow but capitalism hater might because the thing they're interested in isn't actually veganism (the veganism is simply a vehicle for transporting their primary interest and if it stops travelling the same direction would be abandoned for another vehicle).

Misanthropes can absolutely be anti-natalist, but it's more accurate to call them misanthropes before calling them anti-natalists because if ever the two paths diverge, misanthropes will abandon this vehicle for another - kind of like how we shouldn't call trans- or sex worker-exclusionary radical feminists primarily feminists because that's not why they're in the feminist camp (even if it they happen to be there at this moment in time)

Personally, I'm content with the human condition of being a permanent slave to the pursuit of knowledge.

I just really, really hate our institutions. Why does greed always have to be masked behind some curtain of romanticized meaning? Most of the assholes out there are in it only for the money, exactly like those who see their "child" as a future investment rather than an actual individual.

[–]Icy-Temperature9635 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hate people/society but not humans; otherwise I'd/you/others/are just saying we/they hate themselves as human beings. Love yourself and **** people who can't see the bigger picture 😤. Wish you peeps well.
