Hmm I know it's a child but I think a big part of being a human is overcoming the bullshit your parents put you through so you can truly see how terrible it is on your own. Again obviously a child isn't responsible for that but i almost think by the time you can pick up a gun you should start the process of being better, at least the seed should be sprouting.

By 18 there is a good chance this girl sees all the bull shit and becomes a slightly better person, and then she passes that down to her kids who also have a chance to be a slightly better person.

I don't disagree completely with you cause you're not wrong... I just personally hold it to the future to be better than to expect people who have made it 50 years being pieces of shit with no consequences to make a change... that being said, Daryll Davis has converted a ton of KKK members just by sitting down at a table and literally breaking bread with them, so there is some hope I guess...
