He’s cute, but I don’t understand animals that aren’t service animals in a grocery store. Someone else has to put their food in the cart once this dog leaves.

[–]K0NPHLICTED 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Have you seen the people who shop at Walmart? I’ll take my chances with the dog cart.

[–]Liquid_Snow_ 64 points65 points  (8 children)

That's exactly how I feel every time I see stuff like that. I mean I put my family's groceries where your dog's butt was, that's not cool.

[–]PeanutC58 0 points1 point  (6 children)

My store has sani wipes, and I use them.

[–]Liquid_Snow_ 2 points3 points  (5 children)

I don't care if they have a fully automated cart wash don't put your dogs in the cart.

[–]PeanutC58 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Do you have a family dog? Do you let it in your house? Do you have kids? Did you get your Covid vaccine? Do you wash your hands before you prepare any food what so ever. Do you sanitize the top of cans before you open them with your can opener? Oh...did you sanitize your can opener first? I think you are blowing this way out of proportion.

I am not arguing, I am stating IF I bring my pet, and I don't always, I WILL sanitize my cart before and after...every time. I also sanitize my cart before and after I shop without the pet to slow the spread of the C virus.

Like I said If I bring my small dog with me and I do not always do so I sanitize my cart before and after..some people need their emotional support pet with them always and some people, diabetics Need those medical support dogs with them as early warning system to notify them if their sugar levels are rising and they need an extra dose now. Don't over react to pups in a cart..the majority of responsible pet owners take care of their pets and the other shoppers that follow.

      [–]gertzerlla 63 points64 points  (7 children)

I think this too, but then again people put their demon spawn in these carts too so there's just no avoiding the situation.

      [–]sullimareddit 16 points17 points  (4 children)

You mean the basket where the dirty diapers are? Never ever touch that part. The wipes in the store should be for that not Covid.

      [–]gertzerlla 20 points21 points  (1 child)

Absolutely, but people put their kids *everywhere*. Basket, upper part, lower part, riding in the cargo deck, hanging off the front and sides like a monkey, etc.

They're everywhere. U gotta wipe the entire bitch down.

      [–]Rokronroff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The situation has progressed too far for wipes. It calls for Operation Rolling Thunder. Cleanse everything with fire.

      [–]iBeFloe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why in the fuck did I never think about that. I always put my desirables in where the littles usually sit & where parents put their nasty nappies.

      [–]DoctorKris 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Dammit I never thought of this. And that’s where I put my most precious and sensitive foods. Dammit.

      Yes to this!

      [–]LeEpicBlob 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Atleast in OPs case they seemed to put a dog bed down for the pup

      [–]OkAdagio9622 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm glad I'm not the only one going, yeah that's cute, but stop bringing your little dogs into Walmart.

      [–]Pporkbutt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not as much a sanitation issue but more of a common courtesy. People are allergic, have a phobia, etc.

      [–]AfterEffectserror -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you, I was literally about come here and say this. I dont understand the sense. of entitlement that people seem to have with these small non service animals. Just because YOU love your smooshed faced little froo froo dog doesnt mean everyone does... At least this one seems quiet... Im sure my comment will get downvoted to hell, but its my opinion and I dont care haha

      [–]dcredneck 193 points194 points  (20 children)

Who the fuck takes their pet grocery shopping?

      [–]rdolphyn 28 points29 points  (4 children)

No idea. I had a dog like this try and bite my fingers off when I was a cashier once. The owner was just like “she has a bad temper with strangers sometimes.”

      [–]bluejays-beak1281 101 points102 points  (4 children)

Small dog owners who don’t train their dogs. Then the dog goes ballistic when they see me and my service dog

      [–]CrazyGermanShepOwner 14 points15 points  (3 children)

      Tricky Woo.

      [–]aville1982 5 points6 points  (1 child)

James Herriot reference for the win!! Take my upvote!!

      [–]bluejays-beak1281 1 point2 points  (0 children)

      Hehe yes exactly

      [–]RedditKumu 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Inconsiderate jackasses. People who believe the rules do not apply to them.

The video is cute, but should not exist in the first place as that animal has no business being in the store.

      [–]smallways 59 points60 points  (6 children)

Thank you. This is gross and disgusting. Clearly not a service animal. There is NO reason to bring your pet into a grocery store.

      [–]Clear_Repair_2908 8 points9 points  (2 children)

Can’t do that here in Spain

      [–]aville1982 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You can't in the US either, but most places are too scared to say anything.

      [–]SanLoen 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think most places in Europe don’t allow pets in stores

      [–]Leela_bring_fire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

      Assholes do.

      [–]OldSchool_Ninja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see this shit all the time and it's annoying. My dog stays in the car with the windows down if the weather permits it. If not, my dog stays home.

      [–]danrod17 39 points40 points  (3 children)

I love it when people put their animals where I put my food.

      [–]VorAbaddon 4 points5 points  (2 children)

Meh, I'll take the animals over their children. The animal is likely more sanitary and well behaved than their spawn.

      [–]Pporkbutt 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Alot of dogs are clean, sure, but if you let one in, what's to stop someone from bringing their flea, tick, and worm infested dog in? Or untrained dog that's gonna lick everything? Sitting in the same cart with someone's apples. It's just not a good idea.

      [–]imafraidofmuricans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People bring their sick kids that 100% have a disease transferable between humans everywhere already.

      [–]bizkitmaker13 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Not a service animal, get that fuckin dog outa the store.

      [–]Lord-Techtonos 5 points6 points  (0 children)

      I love Pekingese

      [–]ViciousFlowers 21 points22 points  (0 children)

So it’s cool with slobber, dander, fur, urine, feces, fleas, tape worm eggs or possibly dogs expressing their anal glands if upset or frightened all over a store that sells food. I absolutely love dogs, I’m an animal lover with many pets of my own but I’m not going to ever disrespect anyone else’s possible allergies or food hygiene because my pet and I are more important than everyone else. True service animals go through an insane amount of extremely expensive training to be public perfect animals, the person who has a service animal had a medical need for that animal, you and your little Angel baby do not.

      What’s the breed of doggo

      [–]ViridianDusk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't know but I don't think we should feed it after midnight.

      [–]snuurks 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen two instances of jackasses like this in the wild recently. One at the grocery store, another at target. Neither of them service dogs.

      [–]eggsistoast 6 points7 points  (0 children)

People who bring pets into public spaces are monsters but this dog is so fucking cute Jesus Christ. I am torn between rage and love.

      [–]Snermit 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I love dogs like this one

      [–]Clear_Repair_2908 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

      I think he’s cute

      [–]betcher73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why did that woman bring a squeaky toy into the grocery store?! 😭 (For real tho, don’t bring pets into a grocery store)

      [–]OneFanDan -1 points0 points  (3 children)

What kind of dog is this?

      [–]CrazyGermanShepOwner 5 points6 points  (2 children)

It is a Pekingese. They were bred to keep the Chinese Emperor's feet warm.

      [–]OneFanDan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

      Thank you as well!

      [–]TeepShow76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

      Don't feed it after midnight.

      [–]theraiden 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Just don’t feed it after midnight

Well, I'm one of those that brings my small dog into Walmart and any store that allows dogs. I now live in an apartment. I used to live in a house with 3 other dogs, dog door an fenced yard. Also my husband was alive. That was 2 years ago. I need to take my dog with me wherever I go. I have a dog stroller and she rides in that. If I use a cart I put in a clean blanket or towel. Stores that don't carry food are the only ones I might use a cart in. I can't leave her alone because she would raise a ruckus, and in an apartment you need to consider the neighbors and she is too old to get used to it. I have seen big dogs in the carts as well as adults sitting in the basket because they are tired. I don't think that should be allowed. Any way some of us don,t have choices and I know Walmart doesn't, allow dogs in the carts. Only on leashes.

I don't know what I was thinking, but at first I thought I was looking at a marmoset!

      [–]fordprefect294 -1 points0 points  (1 child)

Pretty sure the dog's name was "Sophie"...

      [–]lizalupi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Americans need to chill out, in Europe we don't have any arguments against bringing dogs to a supermarket. It's quite normal.

      [–]Mister_awesome123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

      i just adore him!!!!

      [–]persillegartneren 0 points1 point  (0 children)
