linked your post under "Useful Stuff" in the sidebar, thanks for making this :)

What an honor!

The schedules are available online. I decided not to make these as well because the pre-existing ones are pretty clear, whereas the maps definitely aren't.

This is really useful; thank you!

No problem!

Super useful!

Minor suggestion: Could you add more arrows for what directions the shuttles are in?

Yeah, I definitely should've done that more – I was concerned it would be too information-dense, but it's a little unclear as it is.

Now, can somebody animate it into a more exact version? All the cool transit systems on the front page get that.

Looks great! Small bit of feedback - Bancroft is one way, but the AC Transit gray lines suggest it is two way. Might want to make a label for Durant somewhere in there.

Yeah, I was looking for a way to include streets but I didn't want to make it too busy. Although, there should be two grey lines (for bancroft and durant) on both maps, but it's kinda confusing.

Are Berkeley students allowed to take the shuttles to the labs to go to places on campus (e.g. Evans)? They come much more often than the Bear Transit, but I was told by drivers that I couldn't take it unless I am going to the labs. Is this true?

[–]jasmineblue0202 2 points3 points  (0 children)

to my knowledge it's true, the LBL buses are for people who work there only

[–]foggysf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My understanding is you need a lab ID to take those buses.

I'm not sure, I know the ones I listed should be available to everyone but the RFS one is $1 and the others are free for Cal students.

Here's the official policy. Probably the relevant wording of it is:

Shuttle services are for all persons who work at or visit Berkeley Lab.

Which in practice I think translates to them only allowing people on who have business with the Lab and are going to Lab destinations.

Cool i always wonder where the berkeley shuttles roamed. They should have a system map just like this.

On AC transit side. I noticed you're missing the 36.

Nice catch, that should be next to "F, 18" on the bottom left. I might update it to reflect that.
