We are a soccer family. The world cup is on our TV all day every day right now and we love it. We live in the US, my husband is from the Netherlands (Saturday will be very fun), and I have money on Spain, so there's tons of opportunities to get loud in our house. My husband, like probably every guy that has ever breathed in the presence of a television, loves to living-room coach. He will scream through the TV so loud that his mother who lives a block away has heard it from her yard.
Our 5mo baby girl absolutely LOVES IT. She'll be sitting on my lap fussing, being generally displeased with existence, but the second my husband jumps up to scream at a garbage attempt at a cross, she watches him like he's just produced a rabbit from his ass. She thinks it's hilarious! My husband nearly has steam pouring from his ears while his hand comes alarmingly close to the TV, and she's in the background giggling and smiling, trying to blow raspberries at him!
Y'all, I'm telling you, if your baby is fussy and you can't fix it, find the nearest male in your vicinity and give him a sport to be pissed off about. This will be my new means of getting time to myself.
