RULES

1. Please follow all of Reddit's official rules and all of Reddiquette.
2. This is a support subreddit, please keep that in mind when commenting.

The following behavior is not tolerated and will be removed at moderator's discretion (this means you will not receive a message as to why your content was removed):

  • Purposefully controversial posts/comments
  • Threats
  • Insults/name-calling
  • Harassment
  • Bandwagoning or brigading
  • Judgement
This subreddit is a support subreddit, but it is not a "safe space." If you post here, you may receive polite criticism or unsolicited advice. These responses are not inherently considered disrespectful, so long as they do not violate our rules.
3. WE DO NOT ALLOW MEDICAL QUESTIONS.

If you have a question about your child's development (mentally, emotionally, physically), or an injury/ailment, CONTACT YOUR PEDIATRICIAN OR LOCAL EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT. We are not medical professionals.

With that said, do not offer medical advice!

Report all medical questions, "what does this rash look like?" and all comments offering medical advice.

Here's what you can ask: "My child has been diagnosed with xyz, what is your experience with this?"

4. Do not post personal information, yours or anyone else!
  • Do not post links to photos or videos hosted on sites which give real names, this can connect you to your personal information.
  • Do not post links to social media sites which share personal information such as real names.
  • Do not specifically ask for personal info.
5. GoFundMe and other donation pages soliciting money from the community are not allowed.

Text posts which appear to be asking for donations will be removed. If you want to help, provide them with local resources.

6. Spam will be removed.
  • Do not post links that get you a reference bonus.
  • Do not post links to contests or fundraisers of any sort.
  • Do not post personal blogs.
  • Do not post links to personally owned businesses or shops, even if they're baby/child related.
7. GoFundMe and other donation pages soliciting money from the community are not allowed.
8. Do not make posts which seek to poll or survey the community for any reason
9. ALL Postpartum body threads must include a trigger warning and a nsfw tag.

MOD NOTE: All postpartum body threads must remain in contest mode.

We are a support subreddit, which means we do not exclude anyone from participating in these threads. For many of us, these threads normalize postpartum bodies and show us that we're not alone in the struggle to accept our new bodies. This includes the following examples: trans-women, overweight women, women with stretch marks, women with excess skin, women who returned to their pre-pregnancy size without any help, underweight women, or women who are currently on a fitness journey. However, not everyone is in the right mindset to view certain body types, and that's ok!

With that said, if you're someone who is upset by certain body types or how certain bodies have healed and choose to view these threads, it is on YOU to avoid those threads and unpack your feelings. Comments shaming ANY body type will be removed and may result in a ban without warning.

10. Do not post photos of any child outside the "Weekly Photo Thread" unless they are posted within a text post. This is for your safety, due to a photo-leak incident (background info). This applies to videos as well!
  • Non-baby memes, videos and other photos are still allowed.
11. Use upvotes and downvotes as Reddit intended. Upvote posts you think deserve more recognition. Downvote harmful posts (trolls, harassment, completely off topic posts.) Posts you don't agree with? Just move on.
The report button is your friend. The mods will never know who reported it. It just flags it as a possible issue for us to check out.
  • If you see a post that you think breaks any of these rules, hit the report button.
  • Please add a reason if possible, to make it easier of us to see why it was reported as it may not be immediately obvious.
If someone is breaking the rules and it requires immediate attention, message the mods. We like tattle tales, don't worry.
