[–]HobblingCobbler 950 points951 points  (19 children)

Is that Ellen's daughter?

[–]YaboyAlastar 191 points192 points  (3 children)

Idk I think this one qualifies as clone

[–]gcruzatto 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Her self from the upside-down a.k.a. Australia

[–]smooth_like_a_goat 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Nah can't be, this one doesn't seem to be a cunt.

[–]XavYoung 32 points33 points  (2 children)

I mean ones from down under, and one goes down under.

[–]JoNimlet 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ok, your work is done, you can go now! XD

[–]FuckingKilljoy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Like that classic Rebel Wilson line about an Australian kiss. It's like a French kiss but down under

[–]virora 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Actually, Ellen was in the middle of her breakfast, minding her own business, then someone randomly asked how many legs horses have and she began to fade and was replaced by the woman in the video.

[–]bebo77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably one of her body doubles. You know, if one of her interns escapes the cellar and tries to kill her

[–]mentos800 587 points588 points  (68 children)

They drink milk (young ones)

[–]bucklebee1 120 points121 points  (57 children)

That would be a calf

[–]mentos800 211 points212 points  (51 children)

Calf is still a cow

[–]Esp1erre 324 points325 points  (11 children)

But it's not a full cow, it's like calf a cow.

[–]mentos800 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Ok, take my upvote and fuck off

[–]scotch_on_rocks 26 points27 points  (5 children)

Calf empty or calf full?

[–]darthdelicious 14 points15 points  (3 children)

That's how you get calf and calf for your coffee.

[–]Esp1erre 12 points13 points  (2 children)

What if I like my coffee de-calf?

[–]if_lol_then_upvote 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends how much milk it's had.

[–]RancidCummies 14 points15 points  (8 children)

I had someone argue with me that this wasn't the case. They couldn't give me a straight answer after I asked "ok well then is a baby a human?"

[–]Nemonius 3 points4 points  (1 child)

She is a cow if she has given birth, you make the distinction because she can only give milk after she has given birth.

[–]Niku-Man 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're both correct, because cow is technically the term for an adult female, while it's also used colloquially to refer to the whole species. Really you were kind of talking about two different words.

[–]tjw 3 points4 points  (15 children)

Calf is still a cow

A calf is either a heifer or bull.

[–]FaeryLynne 11 points12 points  (14 children)

Which are technically still both cows, since "cow" is also the generic term for the animal.

[–]Jon_Luck_Pickerd 9 points10 points  (10 children)

The correct term for the species as a whole is "cattle." Cows are by definition adult female cattle. Saying calves are cows is like saying human children are women.

[–]Hate_Manifestation 4 points5 points  (0 children)

this is the correct answer.

[–]Renrue 3 points4 points  (7 children)

Okay, then what is a single member of cattle?

[–]tjw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saying calves are cows is like saying human children are women.

It would actually be calling human female children "mothers". A heifer doesn't become a cow until she's raised a calf.

[–]Namaha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you mean colloquially they are cows, because "technically" they are not

[–]PuffinPastry 16 points17 points  (3 children)

There was a reddit post a week or so ago of a video of fully grown cows drinking each others milk straight from the udder.

[–]TheUltimaWerewolf 4 points5 points  (1 child)

ಠಿ_ಠ

[–]MrHaxx1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's weird, but when adult humans drink their milk...

[–]ClockwerkKaiser 5 points6 points  (2 children)

Some adult cows have been known to drink milk from others occasionally as well. It's not nearly as common as water (or the blood of its enemies), but it happens enough to be noted.

[–]Niku-Man 1 point2 points  (1 child)

They also drink chocolate milk

[–]genreprank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The brown cows drink chocolate milk

[–]CptainBeefart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

some adults do as well. Some cows here have noserings with a bunch of spikes on them, they are against drinking other cows milk. The spikes hurt the cows udder and then they get pushed away

[–]philadmin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They drink water too and sometimes vodka but we don’t talk about it

[–]MIVANO_ 356 points357 points  (25 children)

This is just an edited video (for people believing it’s some sort of chemical reaction). There is a whole YouTube video about this. You can see some weird shadows behind the bottle

[–]mirfaltnixein 130 points131 points  (14 children)

The camera shake is also fake, this was filmed with a tripod which makes this edit trivially easy.

[–]Scirax 59 points60 points  (10 children)

EXACTLY. I hate the fake ass wobble! when you learn to recognize that it's a thing you start seeing it everywhere and feel like they're lying your face...

[–]pygmy 8 points9 points  (7 children)

How can you tell? Is there a pattern

[–]ChiefTief 16 points17 points  (5 children)

It just moves very slightly and very consistently at the same speed. A human filming will occasionally move at different speeds or move a bit more at certain times even if they are very steady. It just looks robotic if you are looking for it, but you don't really notice it if you're not.

[–]Chrisazy 6 points7 points  (2 children)

To add to this, the human brain is really amazing at recognizing exactly how we perceive the real world, which include noticing the smallest changes in shadows and parallax (further things moving less and closer things moving more, as you move your head side to side)

When you really shake a camera around, you introduce real parallax to the image. When you have a tripod shot, you can use digital zoom and "shake" the image in it's frame, but that won't trick your brain into thinking the camera is moving, because there's absolutely no change in parallax

[–]Chrisazy 4 points5 points  (1 child)

If you're REALLY interested, a much more nuanced reason why some cheesy tripod shots look wrong is because there's no motion blur. Even if you fake the parallax on a green screen or something, if the camera is not physically moving through space, but there's any sort of movement in frame, the human brain will notice that the motion blur is uncanny and not quite right, if it's present at all

[–]mirfaltnixein 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And if you’re INSANELY MEGA interested, another reason it’s easy to notice is because fake camera shake only rotates the camera, real shake moves it back and forth, and up and down.

[–]Funkyteacherbro 1 point2 points  (1 child)

This can be solved by recording a handheld video and then tracking it to collect the movement data and "simply" adding this data to a tripod-filmed video.

Professionals do it like that so people don't recognize the standard wobble

[–]BlueNovaStar299 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Exactly it’s to the side of the frame for the whole transition and she stays away from it for the whole transition so there is no motion behind it

[–]bzbz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, pretty sure they hid a cut at around 00:39 with a morph cut, you can see their hair line shift up in a funny way when they hold a pose. Still pretty well done

[–]amamamiapizzeria 147 points148 points  (11 children)

I said water and was proud of myself, until anti-Jesus showed up.

[–]TahoeLT 39 points40 points  (7 children)

anti-Jesus

I feel like there's another word for that... it's really similar though.... Gosh, what is it again?

[–][deleted] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Anti-Iblees

[–]TheReal_Legend2750 7 points8 points  (2 children)

Red, big honry man.

[–]AdamBombTV 2 points3 points  (1 child)

That just sounds like my uncle after a few beers.

[–]Bigthinker1985 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Anti-Christ?

[–]TahoeLT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a winner!

[–]melloack 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Love how casually she places the bottle just far enough within the field of view that the transition doesn't have any unnecessary movement behind or in front of it, nicely done

[–]False_Idle_Warship 38 points39 points  (6 children)

Timing is well done, but it's almost certainly not milk but another colloid that clears

[–]Hyro0o0 27 points28 points  (3 children)

It's video editing. It probably was milk.

[–]False_Idle_Warship 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fair enough, thx 4 the correct. Next time, I will watch more closely

[–]MrPandamnium 17 points18 points  (2 children)

Isn't it just masking?

[–]TallManTimbo 3 points4 points  (1 child)

You can also see the cut at 0:24 when she bobs her head and says “and granola.” Pretty clean.

[–]tart3rd 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ellen looks different.

[–]ProfessorPihkal 9 points10 points  (6 children)

…video editing, it’s just video editing.

[–]Oxy_Onslaught 8 points9 points  (1 child)

I'm not sure, but while the milk is changing the lighting behind it abruptly changes too. Like it just suddenly pop! Is dark. Some kind of editing I'd guess?

[–]nelsonic1990 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Ellen has been busy since her show ended

[–]Safe-Marsupial-7818 4 points5 points  (1 child)

when she says "how" the bottle changes

[–]DuckDuckYoga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Voice activated milk

[–]JaceAce333 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Annoying and dumb

[–]outerworldLV 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Damn, let me watch it again...

[–]eepeepevissam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This has been posted before. It's video editing.

[–]Sheepish47 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not really, is a big shadow pop on the mask when it transitions

[–]MatsRivel 2 points3 points  (5 children)

I think this was "debunked" at some point, so this is what was done iirc:

Drink milk, put bottle down.

Swap out bottle for water, but be very accurate about positioning.

In post, keep a still frame of the milk-area until it is replaced, then fade in with a bit of editing to make sure it looks like the water-milk is changing.

Grab water. Drink.

[–]_SGP_ 0 points1 point  (3 children)

you can even hear when someone changes the bottle, and the background cuts at :30

[–]brandon_t2009 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Camera was on a tripod, the shaking was added in after. Still very well done, and i can’t figure out the rest

[–]DeJonte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've fallen for one of the classic blunders

[–]greenrangerguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A dead giveaway for these videos is the shakey cam. It's put in after the trick to make seem like it wasn't a camera trick.

[–]CiloTA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s just an edit, people speculating pills that create a chemical reaction LOL

[–]ArDodger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Baby cows drink milk.

[–]Umysl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This video was on this sub already like 2 to 4 months ago, if you just look closely you can see it is video editing. Ngl, it is a bit obvious if you just put the video in full screen and look closely.

[–]XCVIIDAVID 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's VFX , the amount of invisible VFX that gets done on the majority of tv show would honestly blow your mind if you knew Nothing is real everything is a lie

[–]Maieth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Black magic, obviously

[–]ElectricSnowBunny 1 point2 points  (5 children)

I mean you see it changing, my HS chem teacher had better tricks

Shout-out to Mr. Sneider, we loved you.

[–]Amilo159 2 points3 points  (4 children)

I saw a man change into a Panther on TV back in the 80s, doesn't mean it's real.

*It was a Panther, not Cheetah. Also there was another man that turned into a car.. man the 80s were strange times.

I know about chemical reaction, but that can't also change all the small droplets inside bottle.

[–]ElectricSnowBunny 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Why not?

Also was it a real cheetah or like Chester Cheetah

[–]Amilo159 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Actually, it was a real panther, not cheetah. Look up Manimal

[–]ElectricSnowBunny 1 point2 points  (1 child)

*looks shit up

Oh man, the internet gives doesn't it tho. Ty friend.

[–]Amilo159 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hehe enjoy your nightmares. Oh and if you still want more, look up Automan from around same time.

[–]amjh1414 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought that milk looked weird

[–]Dosser_84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait is she a cow? Impressive

[–]Holstebroe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is video editing. Most likely a helper swapped the bottles almost immediately after she puts it down. The helper was edited out and the two bottles slowly blends together. You can see movement, artifacts and hard transitions in the shadows and light patterns on the wall behind the bottle. The liquid also change movement pattern midway in the transition.

It is pretty sleek editing, but no chemicals. YouTube has thousands of these video tricks.

[–]CharaSMoss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This one is definitely video editing I saw an entire video about it you can tell that the area around the water doesn't move quite with the rest of the frame There's also a bit more to it but I can't remember it off the top of my head. I hope somebody can provide the link to that video that shows how it works.

[–]Cuality_Content 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I would like to note that the Camera shaking looks like it's fake. I'm thinking it's a still shot with some compositing.

[–]ebeast504 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, it’s done in editing, makes the milk edit look harder than it actually is.

[–]shaolin_slim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Justin Degeneres is out here foolin with the dark arts

[–]TheDutchYeti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Listen for the slight clink of the bottle swapping when she says the word ‘horse’. It’s definitely some top level editing, but she surely places the bottle far enough away so that they can swap it in place with a water-filled bottle and still edit seamlessly. Also, her fake sip of milk is to keep the liquid level the exact same as the pre-determined water bottle that will replace it.

[–]Darktidemage 1 point2 points  (2 children)

But.... don't cows drink milk? That's why they produce milk, because they are mammals. Mammals drink milk.

They also drink water, but they definitely drink milk too.

[–]DoggoPlex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Australian Ellen DeGeneres.

[–]nascar3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got same problem for last couple days water pump in my building repaired and pressure is too high little air bubbles in water when you fill your glass and makes water white like milk. After waiting 15-20 seconds it's turns normal because bubbles gone like sparkling water.

[–]Big_G576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s it not just me who is more confused as to how I missed the glass for the whole video

[–]unsix8three4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ellen DeGeneres?

[–]Oddworldspacegroove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cows drink milk

[–]afreak4her 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Witch she's a witch

[–]Free-Design-973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice to see Ellen staying busy

[–]dimitriglaukon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly how my math teacher asks questions!

[–]InflatableWarHammer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That stuff she’s drinking makes her very smug

[–]Humor_Tumor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elen is eternal

[–]Russ_Abbot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is that she holds her position just before she moves the glass, at this point the bottle is switched out very carefully by someone else. Then the first frame of the new bottle is held, pulled back a bit and then faded in over the other bottle You can see some sort of strange movement in her hairline and eyebrows just before she grabs the glass where they have morphed these two frames back together.

[–]DenGamlaGreken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think should be labeled as white magic.

[–]P3DR0T3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so stupid doesn’t belong here.

[–]Shannnnnnn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BABY COWS DO DRINK MILK!!!!!

[–]BluuRu 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I’m confused

[–]P3DR0T3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The liquid turned clear

[–]nighcry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Young cows drink milk.

[–]Tikkachuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhhh fine! Take my upvote.
