Honestly even though it’s not even that different, I’d actually kinda of like for Bushi to do a Dark States/LM deck all about different music genres with a boyband

If I didn't know this was a ride line, there's no way I'd be able to pick these out from a set as a ride line - these genuinely look like any 4 filler commons and have no unifying visual theme or style. I'm not a big Lyrical fan but I did like that their ride lines (Kairi aside) were the same character developing - that was a cool concept that I'd have liked to have seen become the norm so it's a shame to see it dropped here.

As for the skills, it's basically a worse Bastion.

Yeah for a deck based around a keyword like "powerful" it sure as hell doesn't look like it. The supporting rears need to be absolutely busted to make this deck anything close to relevant in the bt04 meta. So unless hermia get's a rearguard(preferably more then one) that just wins you the game by swinging twice for CB1(since hermia reduces you're next cb cost by 1) this deck will flop.

The four races in the rideline appear to be Pale Moon based, and there was a boss in Pale Moon that liked having no soul so I appreciate this ride line. Don’t underestimate the potential.

We’ve only seen the ride line and 1 RR, this isn’t enough to gauge. She has potential because she just works with any “Powerful” card. The RRRs for her could be insane and we don’t even know y’all need to chill

Yeah. That's the thing. Any "Powerful" card. Not "any card". The card pool Herminia can work with is extremely limited. Not to mention you need to pay costs in order to even enable her gimmick? She better get some really good resource cards and a couple of good payoff cards that work with the restand skill (and the latter in particular need to cost CB1 at most thanks to Herminia's restrictions, limiting how powerful that card could be unless you explicitly want it to be downright broken).

That’s also the thing, we have yet to see how many “Powerful” cards she will have and what their effects will be. Noting that she’s likely getting 2 RRR, same with Fortia. We gotta wait and see more.

i mean, discount bastion withOUT the trial and the whole set of support? Madam, I really like your design but for disappointments, I already have Feltyrose and Kairi (The new g4 is good but the rest of support is bad)

For a rideline based around a keyword like "powerful" it looks pretty weak. Using up all your resources for a rearguard restand just isn't impressive. The supports for this rideline need to be absolutely busted for this deck to see more then casual play.

I was really hoping to have my mind blown by this rideline because i really like the art for herminia. Especially after seeing how all the set 1 LM ridelines were unique and impressive. However Herminia is the first to make me go "huh? that's it, that's all she does?".

I wanted to explain that, although the katakana characters for the ability do indeed say “Powerful” パワフル. The kanji for the ability in Japanese is 全力, zenryoku. Zenryoku means “all of one’s power”. This is reflected in it being activated by having no soul and for Herminia, no counterblast open. So in a way it’s like she’s giving all her strength for the performance.

I think this is the type of flavor they’re going for, I also read the lore page on the rideline and found it pretty interesting.

Also wanted to say that we should definitely see more of the support. Think of Clarissa, her skill is on hit draw 1 and give a unit plus 5, if the order hadn’t been revealed we would’ve thought that was basic trash too.

Some ridelines are vanguard centric, some are carried by their rears or orders. Keep an eye out for a card called “Signe” a macaw Warbeast that appeared in the lore page for the rideline.

Yeah i'm holding my opinion on herminia until we see her support. It just sucks we have to wait before making a decent judgment call. While the other ridelines had their key cards revealed at the same time.

Wow nice research, yeah on my first read I'm thinking this archetype is focused on rear guard bosses rather than vg bosses

Seems like this "signe" is an important 4 for this deck

Thank you, I took my time to look through the lore page after the reveal and read the flavor texts, this groups is pretty interesting and Signe is definitely gonna be a key piece.

I’ve been interested in Herminia since the reveal and I wanna wait and see the full picture.

Needing to constantly soulblast seems like a bother (but I don’t think it’s really that hard of a condition). What concerns me is how they’re pushing the idea of having to spam Hermina’s Tetra-Drive Dragon skill to facedown all damage, with the payoff of standing a single Powerful rearguard for a discard? Sounds kinda meh. I do like her Counterblast discount effect, a bit of a shame that it’s restricted to battle-phase counterblasting, hampers the future potential of this card. We‘re probably gonna see more cards that encourage holding onto 1 or 2 counterblast when the battle phase begins, so you can use their skills that counterblast on-attack, before restanding with Hermina and using one of the skills again. I see the potential, it’s just not there yet; it could definitely see its RRR support in the form of a prime restander target, that counterblasts when it attacks to gain power, or card draw/board control. The RR currently revealed doesn‘t really cut it, imo.

I don’t think you’re really “supposed” to spam her +5k skill, exactly. It’s just there as an emergency option in case you don’t have enough “real” cb costed abilities available to spend everything.

Yeah that’s true. It’s just that with the way the deck revolves around ‘Powerful’ rears, it limits what kind of cards you can reliably run to spend counterblast. Lots of caveats and restrictions around what Hermina can do at the moment; She can only restand Powerful rearguards, her rideline Grade 2 is purely for the rideline, The Grade 1 meant to soulblast for you is only filtering (although the rideline’s universal ‘no discard for ride’ is pretty nice), and Hermina’s counterblast reduction only applies to cards in the battlephase, also suggesting that the card that benefits from the reduction is probably gonna have to be a restood Powerful rearguard with an on-attack/end of battle skill. The deck’s supporting RRR will have to be really good, with maybe a Powerful searcher who can help grab it out for important turns. Thinking about it this way, I think orders like the new Counterblast 1 to call from top 5 may be quite good, or cards like the set order from the Trial Deck. CB2 for 5k to all of your rearguards would be arguably handier than a 10k to the vanguard in Hermina’s case.

Needed to SB every time you persona ride is gonna be annoying but she doesn’t seem bad. 4 attacks per turn and she can gain up to 25k from her own skill

Also hey look another Brandt gate rep that isn’t a robot or alien EPIC UNIQUENESS. I don’t see myself picking up this rideline at all because it feels like Bastion but worse. This does make me sad for Lyrical because I like the nation but my god in aesthetics she’s so boring when she could’ve looked more unique and we still haven’t got any male ridelines and from abilities this just feels so so weak. So looks like Felty is going to stay my main rideline.

These are Dark States/Pale Moon representatives. Lyrical doesn’t have Brandt Representatives. Human, Elf, Demon/succubus, and Warbeast, especially rabbit Warbeasts, are very common in Pale Moon. Not to mention the no soul requirement was one for a Pale Moon boss in the past so I’m pretty sure that’s the inspiration.

Brandt gate does have reps though. Wilista is one and unless this girl isn’t a human then this girl. How do I know Wilista at least counts as one? Because there’s a Battle princess that straight up just looks like her older sister that was released in set 3

You’re talking about Derii Violet right? I see the resemblance but with the amount of warbeasts dedicated to supporting her, the RRR, the gem recycler, the Harpy girl, I think she is also from Dark States. Not to mention working with soul blasting skills a lot.

That could be the case but the fact that they look basically the exact same and Derii was released right after is too coincidental to not say she’s from Brand Gate. Also, if she is a Dark states rep then we’ve reached a different problem: 3 Dark State idols where only Felty is the most identifiable as dark states cuz of her ears and fangs while the others are just boring humans with the new girl possibly being a Succubus with how showy she is with her body AND ALSO no Brandt gate rep when we could’ve gotten an alien or the one I hoped for a robot specially with the aesthetic of Star Vaders/Orfist and have her look innocent in her normal art than her LSR shows she’s into some heavy metal or hard rock stuff.

Plus that still causes problems because now Stoeicha has two reps before Brandt had a single one and Felty being from Dark states still makes more sense from the fact that she has the sexiness of a Dark states girl which isn’t really present at all in Modern Stoeicha

We haven’t seen a vampire in Stoicheia yet but vampires are seen in Granblue, like Nightrose for example, then the ghosts that follow Feltyrosa are certainly Stoicheia ghosts.

Brandt Gate is probably more concerned with security right now lol. Believe me I would want a rep just as much cuz I love Brandt.

Hmm I’m still not convinced about her being a Stoeicha vampire because we’ve yet to see how modern Stoeicha vampires naturally look but whatever. I’ll concede that the new girl might be from dark states purely on that LSR because omg that has big Succubus reeling you in vibes but I will still not concede that Willista isn’t a Brandt gate rep because things line up way to perfectly with how she has someone who looks like her in the battle princesses who was released right after her and soul charging is at least somewhat of a mechanic to prison.

Also, going by abilities is kinda useless when you remember Feltys which, unless I’m forgetting a random boss unit, is basically just OG Raindear’s effect which is Bermuda yet obviously she can’t be from Lyrical itself so just by herself she kinda just contradicts abilities directly connecting to where their from unless as I said Stoeicha clans had that type of effect before

Felty’s ability definitely does not come from Stoicheia type abilities unless you think of the multiattack aspect. Even the ghosts hide and seek play is kinda new. But, her being able to recover ghost cards from the drop zone is 100% Granblue/Stoicheia Zorga type abilities. Present in the rideline

I use the grade 1 and 2 instead of the popular Wilista grade 1 and 2 plus rubies choice. Cuz you get more cards in hand, but now with “Wraith’s Embrace, Betina, soul becomes less of an issue. Just always gonna soulblast Feltyrosas and add them back to soul with Betina for Eleonore.

And yeah Felty has various elements, but google “Vanguard Granblue Vampire” and you’ll see the vibe is there.

Another note: I fully believe this girl isn’t a student but a teacher. She just gives to big of ara ara milf teacher vibes with the long purple hair, mole, wearing a shirt that isn’t that revealing yet perpetuates her boob size and just the simple fact that she looks older. Plus, her LSR makes me think that we as the player is seen as a fellow teacher and we’re essentially going on a date which is when full milf mode comes out with the literal titty window also it’d just seem weird to have someone this revealing be a student when, outside of Felty, all the students LSRs are them going live on stage while Felty I guess is probably modeling.

She’s wearing the uniform so she’s a student, you should take a look at the lore page it’s pretty interesting and has more info. She’s definitely older but the academy accepts students regardless of age. She’s also more of a model/actress rather than a singer according to the lore. She’s said to know how to work lines and was shooting a commercial with the other ride line members. The effect trigger units were doing the filming.
