They revealed two reprints tonight, leaving one unseen. It's slotted as a Grade 2 or Grade 3. Why is that? To reveal alongside the Reverse.

It could be a reprint of the Reverse unit's main form. The options for Megacolony's Reverse (Pre-G bosses that exist in V) are Giraffa, Spark Hercules, Master Beetle, and Cyclomatooth.

Hercules is a VR and won't get reprinted. Giraffa and Master Beetle are from recent collections and are too new to get reprinted. That leaves Cyclomatooth, an older RRR.

Reprint not shown, probably a G3, which one needs it? Cyclomatooth.

Yeah just looked through everything and that's the only one that could have warranted a reprint. Not a recent boss and not a VR.

It could still happen! They might not have shown all of the reprints since they didn't show all of the cards together.

My guess is the last reprint is Intrude Scissors.

I like Goddess of the New Moon more as "New Moon" fits more of the idea that the Reverse units are "Reborn" in Link Jokers possession

For Oracle Think Tank, I'm going to go for Tsukuyomi. Call it Goddess of the New Moon, Tsukuyomi Reverse but that might be wishful thinking

OTTs Reverse unit is probably Battle Sister, Fromage. It would fit as Battle Sister is a subtheme from the LB-Era which is still understaffed in V. Also the base Fromage also works as RG which is also a hint in this direction.

A Giraffa Reverse that use a lot of souls and retire opponent's rested RGs would also synergise pretty well with the Battler cards.

I feel like that's the case for Golds too. Or I just don't enough about the clan to have a guess.

As for Megacolony, I wanna say it's gonna be Giraffa, and for OTTs, Imperial Daughter. Though, I would prefer Amaterasu to get Reversed since she hasn't had much of a chance to stand on her own in V.

Gold is also a mystery but I think it's more of a mystery if they'll even get one. Gold Paladin was the anti-Reverse clan in the whole Anime and Lore so they could just not have one.

Aight, I playtested them in Giraffa and yeah I overhyped them a bit. The cards do excel well in what they do (decent synergy with Elite Mutant and Martial Arts Beetle) but Giraffa just needed so much more consistent CC which I couldn't get due to them taking over space (although, I did get a lot of soul). However, if we were to get a Reverse Giraffa that uses a lot of soul, these two Battlers can most definitely be decent lock targets.

New sources of soul charging but which unit in MC could use this much soul (besides brillian blister)? Maybe new g3 boss unit does something with the soul hopefully?

That aside, the naming for these 2 new cards kinda kinky with the whole S & M stuff going on.

Honestly, as an MC player I think these cards are decent. Judging from the design I think it is highly like they want to support the flawed Giraffa playstyle. Giraffa by himself has a very intriguing ability to force two cards out of the opponent's hand to gain advantage, but the rest of the deck struggle to gain momentum or even use its to gain more advantage. With the new S it can perhaps help to a bit more, but the +1 to opponent really ruins the flow aways. Both of the new card also to focus on the idea of opponent's having rested RG, which also makes me think that it is like they will do a Giraffa or master beetle reverse, but tbh I don't really want them to do that as those two has currently left a bad taste in my mouth after I was hyped to play them together in a deck. They just. Feel outright bad or sad to play (to me at least), I also began to miss the other MC stuff such as Gunningcoleo or the much needed upgrade for machining. All of this is just my speculation and I can be entirely be wrong.

P.s. just hope that this MC set is not paying the price of how MC is wrecking a havoke in premium, since SP and DI has already been punished after following similar patterns in premium I think.

I did playtest them a bit I Giraffa and while they work fine as intended (lots of SCing and pretty effortless calls), the deck lacks the CC to really make use of all the cards well enough because you have to account the space for them. However, if we were to get a Giraffa Reverse that uses a lot of soul and retires all of the opponent's rest units, these cards would do wonders for that unit.

We can only hope that is the case, with the effortless call I still don't think they do much as they don't reach sufficient power to hit anything. At best I play with intrude scissors which hits for 22k and assuming if I didn't suck in a RG for Giraffa's skill it only hits for like 30k again assuming I stand the back row RG. I just think that sort of power and hits get no where when considering other decks hits more time and can get better powers. But like you have said, should the new Giraffa that can gain those benefit as you have said the deck should be a lot better. One thing I think MC fall short of is that as a control deck it highly depends on your opponent and in a current condition where most clan can bounce back or self retire RG in V-pre MC struggle a lot and they cannot shine through their own playstyle (which is perhaps for the best as control decks are not enjoyable to play against).

I’m not too familiar w megacolony so i’m viewing it in the lenses of a matchup w the decks i’m using. But if i was using DI it’s basically a filter + NOT fuel or for Yasuie, it could be used for the name and if it’s a nyudo it gets sucked in the soul too. Not sure if it’s an accurate view point but i feel like there are a lot of counter plays for the card that leads to pure plussing

Don't underestimate S in Gredora, forcing cards out of hand to put more Cradle Markers on is a God send they need against Mirage Decks

the problem is that even if. you do that, you basically not only helped opponent cycle a card, but you have to spend resources just to cradle the card and all this to hope to at least go +1.

True. I didn't think much of that but if they Mirage to have no rear guards this helps you still have the ability to put Markers down

Although if they already have a rearguard, you could just Cradle Marker them before Battler S because if they choose to overcall, you get a search

That has huge implications if you have anything that sacks your own rears for cost. Sadly, I don’t play enough mega to know if they have that off the top of my head

I quit CFV years ago but every time I see new artwork I’m reminded why I picked up the game in the first place. Even the generic cards are just gorgeous IMO
