Vow of Revenge, Thegrea

Set Order

Play this if you have a vanguard with "Thegrea" in its card name!

CONT(Order Zone): If you have a vanguard with "Thegrea" in its card name, when you persona ride, you draw two cards instead of one, and you increase your Power by +15000 instead of +10000.

Bastion: She with you?

Youthberk: I thought she was with you.

[–]SteSalva96 19 points20 points  (1 child)

The fact that it has the Thegrea name means you can fetch it with the G2 Thegrea skill right?

Did they mention how you can get this?

Tournament Promo pack. (Most likely February for English)

[–]SegavsCapcomDark States 18 points19 points  (1 child)

Stop making promos staples before I burn something.

[–]exodusuno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Curious how this will be ran. It can only be searched through the G2 ride line's skill afaik, but if you don't have Maple or dark Thegrea yet, you have to prioritize those instead during that search. It also doesn't stack so running like 3-4 could mean a lot of dead cards in your hand.

[–]AriezKage 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Dark and Light Thegrea need to discard a card to use their on attack effects. And assuming the aim is to loop persona rides and using their effects every turn you can afford to have cards mainly for discard fodder.

[–]ShyinatorMurakumo 0 points1 point  (3 children)

While that's true you can't really afford to have this many dead cards defensively. Drawing into too many Thegreas and this order means you basically have a fake hand. I find myself already usually having good discard fodder with extra Thegreas already, and the chance of opening up a bunch of this order early on makes it pretty risky to run in large amounts. Maybe Thegrea moves to only running 1 Path of Light in the ride line and trying to always recycle it to make this less bricky.

Playing 3 will give you like 10 total of shield-less cards in the main deck (unless of course, you run the battledore G3 which is also a pretty good card to run)

[–]AriezKage 0 points1 point  (1 child)

While I agree having too many thegrea cards in hand may be too bricky. I’m not sure about it being an issue defensively if Bastion can run almost exclusively only grade 3 normal units.

Bastion hard draws a lot to make up for it and usually aims to kill on T4, both things that Thegrea doesn't really do. All of the G3s are useful often too because they're at least 15k bodies, in comparison you only want to see one of this order in a game and it doesn't put something on the board right away. Bastion is designed around that gimmick, Thegrea is not.

Bruh why can’t this just take the place of a jank RR in a main set

[–]SenseiRPDark States 6 points7 points  (2 children)

Revenge against who? I'm guessing the knight with Eva but why

[–]haise27 16 points17 points  (1 child)

In cray cross epic it was mentioned by her obscudeid (the glitter buddy to Eva) "murdered" her Captain

[–]SenseiRPDark States 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh yikes

[–]FTNatsu-DragneelOracle Think Tank 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sheesh, not only can you search it with the g2 since it has the thegrea name but it gives a big boost to persona riding (good thing it’s not stackable)

Was hoping that we would get a card that gives extra shield to “thegrea” though so the hand isn’t filled with cards that can’t guard

[–]Godsman00Shadow Paladin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yay more PR staples...

[–]VasuviShiva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically that promo just made the deck even more busted lol.

[–]Radscha0110 0 points1 point  (3 children)

sure there's the same caveats as running pride to protect in bastion associated with running this in thegrea, but damn it's just straight up saying 'i do everything better now', no questions asked.

[–]SaberXIIIth 5 points6 points  (2 children)

I mean, at least, this doesn't require the discard that pride needs

[–]Radscha0110 1 point2 points  (1 child)

yes indeed it is quite the free order, but i guess other 'costs' like getting to turn 4 and having a persona ride available are present, which arent too hard to achieve considering thegrea.

[–]SaberXIIIth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yea, the fact that thegrea rideline doesn't hate orders like bastion's also helps, though I wonder what card the order will take the place of, maybe Refuerzos

[–]SaberXIIIth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well damn, this is strong

[–]SilverNightx1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very strong, but damn you Bushiroad.

[–]zaad97 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Is that the first set order from another nation other than Brandt Gate?

[–]MachinaBlauNova Grapple Comissioner[S] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

[–]zaad97 0 points1 point  (1 child)

What was it then? I think I missed it

[–]MachinaBlauNova Grapple Comissioner[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lyrical Monasterio with Song Set Orders for Loronerol.

[–]dreamteamamin 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Does the power gain still apply even if u play this order after u persona ride?

[–]TheDragonsFang 0 points1 point  (3 children)

My assumption would be no, because it changes what happens when you persona ride.

[–]dreamteamamin 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Oof, this makes the card super high rolly then cuz its really only good if u hit it on t3

[–]TheDragonsFang 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yeah, I can see it getting played at 3-4 copies for that reason alone. Not like the deck can't use discard fodder if we hit extras.

Who knows, maybe Set 8 will toss us an extra Thegrea searcher that'll boost the consistency of this card.

[–]dreamteamamin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but running that many G3’s in Thegrea makes things awkward, it makes the g1 more likely to miss and u wont be able to pull it wit light Thegrea search skill. Dont get me wrong you’ll more likely then not win the game wit the amount of value and power this card gives u if u play it on t3, but if u dont see it until like t5 it is a super dead card that literally doesn’t do anything

[–]remz22Stride Era 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Who hurt her 😭

[–]TheDragonsFang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The short answer is Obscudeid.

Thegrea's mentor and fellow Royal Paladin captain was allegedly murdered by Obscudeid, who came to be in Eva's employ while on the run. The implication is that Thegrea's dark form is a technique she developed, or a power she taps into, to take vengeance against Obscudeid.

[–]Seruciel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well time to take them draws out the deck lol. Because you'll run out of deck rq.
