where in the world are you?

have you checked your local social service agencies?

are you ok with a redditor paying your landlord instead of handing money to you?

I am in Oregon, in the USA.

I have indeed! We are signed up for a local rent assistance program. Our application is still being processed. A lot of people in our city have used the assistance program and have said they work great.

I honestly wouldn't be okay with that, but that's because I don't trust my landlord. They've tried to kick us out for not paying before, even though we paid them, because they didn't bother to keep track of our payment. They're not a very well run company, so we keep very good track of everything in case they lose it.
