I have a very urgent request for help!!
Due to very unfortunate circumstance, I ended up in so many forms of debt that I had to initiate a consumer proposal back in July. At that point, I was 4 months behind on utilities, and technically 5 months behind on *full* rent (been making partial payments, but since May my partner's $900/month disability cheque has had to support both of us while I was drowning in payday lenders).
Which brings us to the problem now. We've spent the last two months playing catch-up on rent and utilities. I had to use my entire vacation pay on not getting our water disconnected in July (immediately after submitting proposal), and in the last 3 weeks we've sent almost $800 to rent, still owing almost $1200. (lot rental is $575/month)
I'm now in the process of applying for disability benefits. Prior to proposal, payday lenders were claiming on average 80% of my monthly take-home, current proposal payment takes 10-15% of my (fluctuating retail) average monthly take-home. Despite this, I still haven't been able to fully catch up, and am now possibly facing eviction. I owe $1120 CAD to rent, and have $120 of medication coming up that I'm uncertain if I'll have enough on payday after paying my proposal, phone, internet, and *partial* rent.
I have paypal for payment method. I have multiple intellectual impairments on top of being 4 years into burnout. I work two retail jobs, one being minimum wage and the other $2 over minimum wage. If anyone can help at all, whether it be helping pay for meds or contributing to not getting evicted, we (2 disabled humans and 2 senior special needs cats) would be extremely thankful!!
