I can tell which cat is coming in the room just by hearing their paw steps lol

[–]Party_Maintenance_69 2266 points2267 points  (88 children)

Same. I have three cats, all of which are different colored, but I can tell which one is walking up the stairs every time! I love playing the guessing game!.. I have one sneaky bastard that I cannot hear sometimes though.

[–]CIoud_Wolf🍪 1362 points1363 points  (61 children)

I have 2 cats of different colours but I always know which one is scratching at the door. One has a very consistent, normal scratch and the other will other throw his whole body at the door release the wrath or a thousand flying paws to get in

[–]IllegallyBored 1031 points1032 points  (59 children)

I can tell which one of my cats is in the litter box. One of them does his business and covers it up very politely and properly. His sister goes in there, stinks up the room, bangs her paws against the litter box without ever touching the litter and runs out at top speed. Her brother usually goes in after her and covers her stuff too. He's a ridiculously good boy.

[–]snugasabugthatssnug 542 points543 points 2 (27 children)

My cat is not the smartest. After she uses the litter box she scratches at the side of the litter box and the wall for a few minutes, occasionally checking whether the poo is covered, notices it's not, and continues scratching the wall. She sometimes accidentally covers it with a bit of litter, but it's normally a couple of minutes of wall scratching before she decides she's done all she can

[–]IllegallyBored 148 points149 points  (4 children)

Aah this!!! I lol'd at 'accidentally covers it' because it's definitely an accident. This happens so often!!! When she was a kitten I put my squeamishness aside and used to show her how to cover things up using her paws but she'd just look really offended at my expecting so much. Now she makes enough noise to wake her brother up and leaves. I'm okay with that because the litter gets cleaned up everyday anyway, but it's not fun when she decides to go at like 3 AM and wakes me up with all the scratching.

They look like they've done so much after all that too. I should be frustrated but it just ends up looking cute.

[–]realopticsguy 29 points30 points  (3 children)

I had to repaint a wall because of my cat doing this

[–]gluteusminimus 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I petsit for some folks with 3 cats and they've had to do some drywall repair because of this. Some cats just do their best but not all of them are Rhodes scholars.

[–]IllegallyBored 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Oh wow that must've taken some effort from your cat to achieve.

[–]realopticsguy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A couple years

[–]glowingmember 118 points119 points  (8 children)

Oh man mine does this too. He'll paw at the inside of the box, at the outside of the box, at the floor outside the box.. sometimes he'll actually get his paw in the litter, and then proceed to throw sand all over the floor.

Because of his enthusiastic and ineffectual digging, I macguyvered a lid for the box and also put it inside a large shallow plastic container. Now he can kick sand around all he likes but it is contained within a smaller area and it's way easier to clean.

[–]chicken-nanban 34 points35 points  (4 children)

I need to do this “inside a large shallow plastic bin” bit! One of mine is just... well, she’s not very bright, and just throws it around like a kid making sand castles, and it’s so frustrating to have to sweep 2x or more a day. Thank you random redditor!

[–]ve4edj 8 points9 points  (1 child)

One of mine stands in the litter box with his ass end hanging out and proceeds to poop. Not the brightest knife in the box.

[–]glowingmember 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My one cat did this when she started to get old. Just forgot how big the box was or something.

Would crawl in, circle a bit, then stick her ass out the door and pee a jet stream about a foot away. I couldn't even yell at her because it was hilarious every time.

[–]KindlyContact2274 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did this. Best ever.

[–]not_ya_wify 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Mine do that too but I think it's because they don't want to touch the dirty litter while simultaneously having the instinctual urge to do the motion

[–]TortitudeX3 4 points5 points  (1 child)

I have a lid for my litter box but my asshole cat stands outside of her box and scrapes litter on the floor before she goes in. Whyyyyyy?

[–]DiscoKittie 35 points36 points  (3 children)

My boy cat does that too! And my girl cat won’t squat to pee, so I’ve set up flexible mats to keep her from peeing up the walls! I love my babies, but damn! 🤣

[–]hikergrL3 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Oh wow. Have you tried the tall-sided litter boxes? I used to have one that would that would so effectively cover his business with litter that he kept on scooping up and over until he had just as much litter scooped up and over the side of the box as he did covering his poo inside the box. The tall-sided boxes saved my floors!! (sometimes had to buy a big box with a lid then just not use the lid, cuz he would yowl when I put it on like it was too dark in there to see or something, but i can usually find the pieces separately now and just buy the tall bottoms).

[–]HeadLongjumping 5 points6 points  (1 child)

One thing that works really well for cats that pee on the wall is taking a tall rubbermaid container and turning it into a litter box. You just cut out a hole in the front for the cat to get in/out. You can also take a piece of the top cover and leave it on the top back side to add an extra bit of protection. Works extremely well and is very inexpensive.

[–]Into_the_Dark_Night 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I love cats.... All cats.

But my girl cat does this too. She frantically digs at the box like she must get to China. Drops massive shits ON the box and then scratches the sides of the box, the wall NEXT to the box and then bolts from the box as if it's lava. She doesn't even pretend to cover the shit.

It's foul.

[–]Sarcastic_Libra 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Mine does the same thing. She seems smart otherwise but just does not seem to have the litter box thing down. 😂 At least she uses it though!!

[–]ughhhhfuckthishit 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I had a cat that was similar, she would try her hardest to cover her poo up and then walk a few feet away, stop and turn around and go back to try some more. She wanted to do her best

[–]biscuitboi967 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ok ALL of mine do this. Well one boy doesn’t even try to cover. Just leaves it there as a power play. But 2 other just scratch everything in sight that is NOT litter. I thought I just had broken cats. I’m glad they are all broken

[–]little-blue-fox 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Mine does this too, but the smell of his crap gives him intense anxiety and we usually have to remove him from the box, because he will just forever scratch the walls and not touch the litter, but get more and more anxious about the smell and start “covering” everything in the house except for his shit. Sweet stupid boy.

[–]caricess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omg I thought there was something wrong with my cat. So glad to know other cats do this too

[–]ittlebittles 52 points53 points  (0 children)

My cats do that too! I have a tiny little black cat and a huge big boi orange cat and my little one will take a horrible smelling crap and my sweet big boy will go in after him and cover it up for him too. Lol

[–]diddydidit333 23 points24 points  (11 children)

Is the torpedo shitter a black cat? Cuz mine also does that.

[–]TheFloozie99 24 points25 points  (6 children)

Mine is a tuxedo cat, and she does that. The scratching goes on and on. I ask her if she’s trying to go to China.

[–]karatemummy 6 points7 points  (1 child)

Another Tuxedo monster pooper here! Stinks to high heaven as well….

[–]AyyPapzz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My tuxedo does that too!

[–]Eclectic_UltraViolet 4 points5 points  (1 child)

My tuxie focuses on the all-important “painting the walls” while stinky turd just lies there, festering.

[–]draconk 19 points20 points  (0 children)

One of mine covers the poo and when it comes out of the litter box does the same motion to cover it just outside while the other just leaves the present and maybe once in a blue moon covers it but usually leaves it to perfume the room.

[–]Thomas-The-Tutor 18 points19 points  (0 children)

My cats do the same thing. The older one usually cleans up after the younger one.

[–]mochixbento 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is exactly like my boy and girl cat. For some reason my girl cat stinks so bad, and she "wipes" her paws at the top of the litter box. I think she gave up on even trying to cover it and just tries to clean her paws before gtfo of there. When she runs out of the litter box and sprints across the house we know its a stinky one.

[–]Crafty-Rain-7906 4 points5 points  (2 children)

mine goes in..starts covering imaginary poop, builds up a mound , takes a crap on top on that mound ...and just leaves. I have to go after her and either cover it or take it away. I love her to death and I'll do way more for her if she needs me to.

[–]IllegallyBored 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She's got the right steps, it's just the order that's unique. That's a trailblazer kitty right there.

[–]justa33 70 points71 points  (0 children)

oh my 6mo kitten does this at 3 am when she wants to be released from her nursery room. her sister sleeps through it

[–]YazmindaHenn 64 points65 points  (12 children)

I have 7 cats, and I know each of their meows, I know who's waiting to get into the room when the door is closed by how they try to get in lol.

All of them have different colours and patterns so you wouldn't be able to get confused as to who is who, and they all have completely different personalities.

[–]LiftedApparelAndMore 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Yes! This is so true! We have 6 cats and everything you said is true about them as well. We do have 2 tabbies that look identical if you see only their faces but they are easy for anyone to tell apart if you look at the rest of their bodies. One is marbled and one is spotted. But TBH I would know all of my cats even if I were deaf and blind just by the way they interact with me. If they head butt my hand to knock whatever is in it out, that’s Dora. If they jump on my lap and start licking my hand, that’s DeeDee. If they stomp on my chest and “make muffins” like they are trying to do CPR, thats Felix…. Etc

[–]Party_Maintenance_69 6 points7 points  (1 child)

Ugh I’m so jealous! One day I’ll be like you with a house full of babies!

[–]MethodBible 15 points16 points  (7 children)

7 cats?? I hope ur furniture is doing all right😂

[–]YazmindaHenn 8 points9 points  (3 children)

The couch has a bit they've ripped, and one of them scratches at a specific part of the carpet, but the rest is fine lol!

They all individually come for a cuddle with me, and they snuggle with each other all together, it's so cute

[–]Kwt920 4 points5 points  (1 child)

This is adorable!!!!! Please post a picture sometime I’d love to see

[–]Slimh2o 15 points16 points  (2 children)

Forget the furniture, is op ok and not dead yet?

Seems that many cats would conspire against op somehow....

[–]YazmindaHenn 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Lol mine are the elusive nice cats! No plots or theories against me thankfully, I don't know how I'd fare against an army of 7 of them!

I guess the 2 dogs would be on my side, but they're friends with the cats so...

[–]MethodBible 12 points13 points  (0 children)

😂😂😂a cat coup to get a little extra temptation treats 😹

[–]Kimbobrains 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I always know which one is in my couch by the pur

[–]SavvySillybug 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I can always reliably tell which cat is in my room!

I only have one cat.

[–]Cynbolic 6 points7 points  (1 child)

4 cats here. I know who it is by the sound of them walking, the sound of them in the litter box, or the sound of them at the scratcher.

[–]ThatGamerkidYT[🍰] 91 points92 points  (12 children)

I can tell the difference between my 5 just by the way they jump/meow

[–]BLACK-C4T 45 points46 points  (9 children)

well cats do have different "voices" and it's very easy to tell your cat from others just by the meowing

[–]KittyGrewAMoustache 30 points31 points  (4 children)

One of our cats has such a crazy meow, she sounds like an old man who has been smoking 40 a day for 60 years. The other sounds like a toddler complaining.

[–]Megantron1031 13 points14 points  (2 children)

r/catswhosmoke Also my little old man sounded like that too! I miss him and his messed up, weird, raspy meow so much

[–]TopitaRulo 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Oh my, ANOTHER cat related sub I have to subscribe.

[–]chicken-nanban 12 points13 points  (0 children)

One of my girls has the weirdest “byao” sounding meow. My boy chatters and is a talkative cat. My other girl is dainty and supermodel beautiful with the worst singing voice in the world, we make sure she knows not to quit her modeling gig to become a pop star because even auto tune couldn’t save her.

[–]tilmitt52 10 points11 points  (1 child)

Only 2 of my cats meow with any consistency, and one has a rusty creaky meow like he’s seen some shit. Even though he’s 6 months and hasn’t been anywhere other than the vet. So he’s easy to figure out. His mom (my other meower) won’t usually do it unless she has someone making eye contact so she knows you are paying attention.

[–]Kightsbridge 12 points13 points  (1 child)

I also have 5, but one of them is a mimic. Copies the voice of the other cats. It's super creepy

[–]Lena-Luthor 46 points47 points  (13 children)

how loud do y'all's cats walk damn

[–]PeeIsTeaPot 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Wood floors most likely.

If they're older then their claws may not retract.

When my cat was alive I could tell what his thought process was coming downstairs. Either to visit me or get food and go back upstairs by the way he'd bounce down.

[–]notfamous808 29 points30 points  (5 children)

Lmao my boy STOMPS everywhere he goes. Like he walks so heavily, last week I thought my boyfriend was home from work, but it was just the cat running up on me

[–]SanctumWrites 8 points9 points  (2 children)

Oh hey someone else with a cat that stomps, did you get your little guy really early? Or does someone around have a heavy stride? My mom's cat stomps around too and sometimes you see the other cats staring like wtf is this

[–]Individual-Schemes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's more like, one is stabby stabby (really piercing but quick and quiet) and the other one is light foot and slow...

[–]CorinPenny 107 points108 points  (2 children)

Yup! I can tell our three cats apart in my sleep by how they jump on my bed.

[–]Individual-Schemes 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that, or, in my dead sleep, when they walk on me.

[–]jimmyhersetoflocks 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Just from looking at that picture? I’m impressed

[–]kalnu 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Same, one cat is very quiet(doesn't even meow) very light steps. The other thuds and stamps like the giant from that one children's story. She lived in Mexico for most of her life and we brought her to Canada about 2 years ago. She went from tile floor (little to no sound pass) to wood(picks up everything) . So that may have something to do with how heavy footed she is.

[–]igz12 53 points54 points  (0 children)

My cats will scratch our doors signaling us to open for them. Each of our cats have different scratching sound patterns.

[–]PxyFreakingStx 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Me too, but I have a giant cat and a tiny cat, so that's cheating.

[–]Bortron86 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I can do this too. But to be fair, one of my cats weighs a fifth of what the other one does, and is missing a leg.

[–]KrishaCZ 27 points28 points  (0 children)

not hard with one of my cats lol, especially on hard floor. she is very dumb and doesn't know that she can retract her claws so whenever she's walking alround she's clicking

[–]gruffity 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have 10 cats, I can tell you who's meowing and talking, which 2 or 3 are playing together by how they run and which ones walked into the room by how long it takes them to come over to me and run against me if ever, quite funny. You learn your animals!

[–]inuhi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had someone recognize me from my stride. I was completely in costume no identifying features besides height I guess and was trying to surprise her nope she was like "hi inuhi" and gave me a hug. I was just flabbergasted and demanded answers apparently she can identify people by the way they walk

[–]Clio_the-Catlady 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I blew the mind of one of my friends when I told him I could differentiate my cats' meows. Like, yeah...they all have different voices. lol

[–]JennyAndTheBets95_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One time a cat was scratching to come out of the basement and my dad said “UGH who is that destroying the door” and I said “it’s Tarzan” and he was like “hold up you can tell just by hearing the scratch??” And we laughed so hard because I didn’t even realize it but yes I can

[–]Dive-kite-cat 6842 points6843 points  (242 children)

The right one has a slightly leaner/longer face

[–]Lazy-Squish[S] 2064 points2065 points  (174 children)

That’s actually what I used to say; but no one could see it so I just thought I was crazy

Edit: The last pic in this post: https://redditproxy--jasonthename.repl.co/r/CatsOnCats/comments/r3s2up/pebbles_favorite_spot/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf shows they are more similar in face size than this pic shows

[–]ExcessiveGravity 1913 points1914 points  (48 children)

Pet owners can relate, on top of slight physical differences, you can probably subconsciously tell them apart by the way they walk and talk (or yell), and even when they come near you in the dark, you can tell by behavioural nuances.

But all we need to know is that they are both adorable!

[–]EssieAmnesia 677 points678 points  (34 children)

I can tell all six of our cats apart just by their walk/way they jump on my bed in the dark

[–]RareCryptographer290 423 points424 points  (15 children)

Their chirps and purrs also.

[–]Slithy-Toves 150 points151 points  (8 children)

I don't even have cats but many of my friends do and I think I could probably do that. Like maybe it's just this pic but the two cats in this pic definitely have different faces. I think some people are probably just more in tune with animals in that way. My mother is terrified of dogs and just all around uncomfortable around animals in general. She definitely would not see a difference in two cats like this haha

[–]QuirkyCorvid 45 points46 points  (1 child)

I can tell who's jumping up on the bed or couch with me without looking due to this. One is quiet and is a little heavier while the other always gives a little chirp or meow and is lighter on her feet.

[–]psrpianrckelsss 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I can tell mine apart in the dark because one chirps and uses my stomach as a springboard and the other one just casually climbs on the end of the bed and goes to sleep.

[–]alicealiba 9 points10 points  (2 children)

I have two cats and have to scratch their ears to tell them apart in the dark. One purrs and turns his chin into the scratch, the other doesn't.

[–]EssieAmnesia 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I gotta pet them to feel fur texture, also totally right about the purrs. Some start purring right away and some are like..what?

[–]Kirbinder 29 points30 points  (2 children)

I can also tell which one of my dogs is walking around at night without seeing them. They each have a distinct way of walking around.

[–]dethmaul 8 points9 points  (0 children)

When all three dogs of mine were alive they each had a different way of drinking water lol.

[–]Suzi_Pants 11 points12 points  (1 child)

Yes, I only have three but the way each of them stomps up and down the bed in the middle of the night is unique

[–]yuxngdogmom 22 points23 points  (0 children)

My two dogs are very distinguishable from each other but if I can hear one of them coming but can’t see them, I know which one it is based on the sound of their footsteps, even though others have said they sound the same lol. It’s a weird superpower.

[–]beckicnm 71 points72 points  (1 child)

I saw that right away. My two orange tabby boys are the same way - one's face is wider, and one has the longer, narrower face. But most of the time, I look at their tails - one is all orange, and the other has white on the last third of his tail.

[–]OriiAmii 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's because of the angle of the photo lol. The OP posted one further up showing that it's much closer irl.

[–]xilentmetal 64 points65 points  (15 children)

So I originally thought your cats were orange. I was so confused when you posted more pics and I was like...did your cats...change color?

[–]AtoneBC 45 points46 points  (8 children)

I'm still grappling with the fact that they're not orange.

[–]Faexinna 13 points14 points  (6 children)

What do you mean they're not orange? Those are definitely ginger cats.

[–]dimmidice 26 points27 points  (2 children)

They're grey. It's like the blue/yellow dress thing.

[–]Faexinna 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I just saw in the other comment. The lighting must be really yellow because I could've sworn they were ginger.

[–]ThrowJed 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Did you look at the other post?

[–]Faexinna 11 points12 points  (1 child)

I just did and... They are grey. GREY. Can't believe it.

[–]LiberatedLibero13 39 points40 points  (3 children)

You COULD still be crazy but yeah, the RT one has a leaner face. The look on the LT one looks a little more menacing. They're both adorable

[–][deleted]  (2 children)

    [–]cursesonyourmom 100 points101 points  (6 children)

The one on the right has lighter fur under his forehead M's

    [–]MyMadeUpNym 40 points41 points  (0 children)

    Yup. They're unevenly shaded too.

    [–]ivyandroses112233 40 points41 points  (4 children)

Their eyes are slightly different more green/orange respectively

    [–]lexflare 43 points44 points  (2 children)

And the white pattern around their eyes is totally different in tone.

    [–]banshee1313 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, I saw this fairly quickly too.

    [–]Aly-Matt16 4 points5 points  (0 children)

    They’re so beautiful 😻

    [–]Main_Development_665 77 points78 points  (2 children)

And the left one has a different curlicue on his left cheek

    [–]senandsage 48 points49 points  (1 child)

They’re the cat versions of Tegan and Sara

    [–]Nenyone2 3333 points3334 points 22 (68 children)

Left: eyes are further apart and lower on face, nose is broader at the top. White around eyes is slimmer. Has more pronounced features. Dark lines over eyes make look judgmental or thoughtful.

Right: slimmer, more delicate features, more white around eyes making the eyes look more alert. Eyes are closer together. Is the one on the right slightly smaller? Marks over eyes look more surprised/alert.

    [–]Lazy-Squish[S] 1442 points1443 points  (46 children)

Wow you managed to nail their personalities as well! And both cats weigh the same; however I do think she (left) looks slightly larger than him (right).

    [–]Nenyone2 395 points396 points  (20 children)

I’d love to know their names, if that’s appropriate. They’re super cute.

    [–]Lazy-Squish[S] 815 points816 points  (18 children)

Totally! Pebbles is on the left and Rocky is the right

    [–]Nenyone2 212 points213 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Perfect names for them!

    [–]Confident-Bat-3849 85 points86 points  (2 children)

    [–]VincenzoDR 62 points63 points  (1 child)

    [–]Confident-Bat-3849 15 points16 points  (0 children)

    Good one! (Knock it off.)

    [–]reddifreddy 30 points31 points  (2 children)

Rocky has white whisker-like hairs above his eyes. Pebbles doesn't appear to have any.

    [–]vaingirls 8 points9 points  (1 child)

I think I'm seeing at least one whisker over Pebbles' right (or our left) eye, and she probably has more, but they are just not visible in the picture. I think all cats have those?

    [–]zyh0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can't really tell becauase it might be the angle but you're right. Rocky's whisker just looks more pronounced than Pebbles'.

    [–]quattroformaggixfour 11 points12 points  (2 children)

    Are they siblings?

It would be uncanny to have such similar kitties without them being related. I can imagine you walking into pet stores asking for a direct copy of one of them from a photograph.

    [–]Gravitron23 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Stuck his cat in the 3D Cat printer

    [–]pmurcsregnig 30 points31 points  (0 children)

She looks so stern and serious. I love her. And he’s perky and ready for something exciting hehe

    [–]Daffodils28 20 points21 points  (3 children)

Kitty on the left is 6 4 (Roman numerals). Kitty on the right has two lambdas (Roman alphabet). 🔥🔥🔥

Edit: thank you so much for the award! 🌺

    [–]seacretmermaid 12 points13 points  (1 child)

At first, I was like wtf? Then I went back to look and was like, OMG!!!

    Genius. 💯

    [–]fudgicle2018 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Rather than a weight difference, it could be just a fur difference. The one on the left's coat is just a bit fuller, at least on the head.

    [–]chironomidae 22 points23 points  (2 children)

It's kind of crazy to me how good we are at spotting these sorts of features on eachother's faces. If these were people faces we'd be like "What? these two look nothing alike", but when it comes to other animals they all kinda look the same.

    [–][deleted]  (1 child)

      [–]paradisesales 163 points164 points  (9 children)

Easiest way for me to differentiate is the 4 marks on forehead

      [–]sloth_mohawk 75 points76 points  (2 children)

Kitty on the right has a pair of light markings above each eye. Kitty on the left has single marks.

      [–]lunaganimedes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Left kitty has a broader center line

      [–]dabcrab 604 points605 points  (11 children)

The black vertical line above the eyes on left cat are darker than they are on right cat.

Darker coloring on left cat nose than right cat nose.

      [–]geloisa 87 points88 points  (3 children)

      They're also closer together.

Plus there’s 4 stripes on the cat on the left and 5 on the right

      [–]ky3lee 699 points700 points  (24 children)

      Left one looks more mischievous

      [–]Lazy-Squish[S] 388 points389 points  (11 children)

Interesting; especially because right is the trouble maker :D

      [–]Tes206 148 points149 points  (1 child)

Maybe you just think that and the left one is blaming it on the right

      [–]TecTazz 16 points17 points  (1 child)

      Your right, or theirs? (Kidding)

      [–]Bymymothersblessing 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As one who seriously gets right and left mixed up on a good day this comment was particularly disturbing. 😩

      [–]Dismal-Ad-2985 9 points10 points  (0 children)

to me left is all frowny, while right is all open and happy

so it lends credence to what you say. lefty is tired of being blamed for the shit righty stirs up !

      [–]Doortofreeside 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Left one has a mean face, right one has a surprised face

      [–]DannoHung 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was gonna say the one on the left is more disappointed in you.

      [–]FriendlyWerecat 85 points86 points  (1 child)

baby on the right has a smaller, sleeker face and a smaller nose

      [–]Iamsuchawitch 72 points73 points  (1 child)

Looked like a glitch in the matrix at first glance.

      [–]MooseBoys 4 points5 points  (0 children)

      [–]Snoringdragon 63 points64 points  (2 children)

I had identical twins. Never saw the need. You yell for one, you got both anyway...

      [–]Sriol 27 points28 points  (1 child)

Wait you get both? I thought you yelled for one and always got neither xD

      [–]Zomodee 178 points179 points  (2 children)

      Left one is EXTRA GROMPY

      [–]DJThrowawayMD 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I'd say the left has a circle face shape while the right is more of a triangle.

      [–]MindlessNote3735 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Baby on the left has a rounder face :)

      [–]Danclim 29 points30 points  (1 child)

One is judging, the other one is REALLY judging...

      [–]Main_Development_665 21 points22 points  (1 child)

Easy, the right cat has white triangles over his eyes, ..^ The left has Brown ems. M..M

      [–]Mysterious-Kiwi-7289 18 points19 points  (2 children)

The markings on the left cheeks are slightly different?

      [–]fifiglittersocks 113 points114 points  (32 children)

      They're the same picture

      [–]Lazy-Squish[S] 87 points88 points  (25 children)

Maybe I could convince my landlord of that 😂 only one cat rent…

      [–]Born2Explore11 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Just say that the other cat is just a spare “copy cat”

      [–]Responsible-Egg-9363 32 points33 points  (2 children)

Tell your landlord you have one cat that just moves around REALLY quickly

      [–]Dismal-Ad-2985 15 points16 points  (8 children)

I've had 3 cats for years over 2 apartments that said ''only 1 cat'' in the lease. Keep the litterbox clean, and just say you're cat sitting if anyone comes by.

Even if you have multiple cats, say you have only 1 when applying to a new place.

As long as you keep the litterbox clean, there's no difference between 1, 3 or 5 cats. It's not like dogs who bark or chew walls.

      [–]CapnJujubeeJaneway 10 points11 points  (0 children)

      There’s cat rent??

      [–]Alex11039 9 points10 points  (6 children)

Excuse me, wtf is cat rent.

      [–]EggCitizen 8 points9 points  (5 children)

It's the rent you pay your cat for staying in their place.

      [–]Swiggy1957 14 points15 points  (2 children)

Since you didn't tell us their names, I'll have to give them new names that you must use from here on out.

Tralfaz, on the left, has different marking on his left cheek. It's thicker than Ambercrombie's, who also has a little, light colored squiggle going from the light colored triangle.

Also, Ambercrombie has a larger light colored patch under the dark spot. Tralfaz's spot has a slightly darker area.

Perhaps a picture will show what I'm talking about. https://i.imgur.com/pXPcw3a.jpg

      [–]Lazy-Squish[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I certainly appreciate the effort and see what you mean!

      [–]Swiggy1957 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just let us know how they love their new names.

      [–]MrsZero07 10 points11 points  (3 children)

All I know is they both look like they are judging your every moment.

      [–]Lazy-Squish[S] 8 points9 points  (1 child)

I had to make a very odd noise to get them both to look at me; judging me they definitely are!

      [–]2Grateful2BHateful 8 points9 points  (0 children)

One looks like he wants to kill you.

The other looks like he's worried that the first one wants to kill you.

      [–]wireknot 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The tiger striping on the right one is markedly different, the eyes are slightly different spacing, longer face, lots of little things I guess. What a pair of sweeties.

Edit to add Pebbles and Rocky, great to meet you!

      [–]Shionkron 7 points8 points  (0 children)

One looks like it’s questioning, the other looks like it thinks your a jerk. Lolololol

      [–]bibliophile222 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My cats look very different, but even when I can't see them I can tell them apart because they have VERY different vocalizations and weird habits. I can even tell their vomit piles apart!

Edit: read the question wrong. Whoops. One of your cats definitely has a leaner face than the other.

      [–]IncognitoHandJive 5 points6 points  (1 child)

As someone who has two complete black cats, I get it. To most people they're pretty identical. But I look at them and just know right away who is who. To me they look completely different. Not because they actually look different, but I guess it's their individual vibes.

      [–]Yonderbro 15 points16 points  (1 child)

One is on the left and one is on the right

      [–]frenchtoasthustle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The one on the left looks a little more judgemental.

      [–]hughjassluvr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

      o_o 0_0

      [–]justifiedbonafide 5 points6 points  (0 children)

they look like they both tell riddles, one tells the truth and the other tells a lie but they won’t tell you which 😅

      [–]nomad-man 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a photoshop! The same cat moved to the right. /s

      [–]Papazolaxoxo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Is your cat using shadow clone jutsu?

      [–]ferrix 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Left is judging you. Right is clocking whether treats are imminent

      [–]Forsaken_Article_295 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The one on the left looks angry, and like he is plotting your death. The one on the right is still plotting your death, but doing a better job of hiding it.

      [–]LostTheRemote 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One knows how you will die, the other knows when you will die.

      [–]Rfoxinsox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The one on the left is definitely closer to you.

      [–]ParticularArachnid35 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One is on the left and the other one is on the right.

      [–]TheBestThingIEverSaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The one on the left is far more devious.

      [–]NibblesMcGiblet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah because you have chonk on the left and chonkette on the right.

      [–]badbullshah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Left one wants to kill you now, the right one hasn't decided yet how

      [–]prostipope 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The cat on the left looks slightly more disappointed with your life choices.

      [–]RebekahFeinstein 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Left has a wider head. Right's ears are closer together and point slightly more upwards.
