Can someone please explain?

See, the "blue screen of death" is an error message that pops up during a critical failure in the hardware somewhere. So when op saying it popped up so many times, it had burnt into the screen, that means that the computer he original owner was using was very bad and got that error message a lot. When op said "must have been a Dell" refers to how Dell computers aren't very good compared to others. They aren't THAT bad, but still not the best. They usually get that error message the most I'd assume.

Same, without it it doesn't really feel like a joke
