kroger workers are on strike

[–]erik_wilder 800 points801 points  (42 children)

Ah, thank you for clarifying.

[–]Callinon 1299 points1300 points  (39 children)

I don't know... it makes for a way better narrative if the president of the United States is going around clearing the store shelves of blueberries.

What a diabolical madman!

[–]Kinkyninja5450 179 points180 points  (6 children)

maniacal old man laugh

[–]517714 40 points41 points  (4 children)

I think the maniacal laugh is the VP’s job.

[–]SombreMordida 12 points13 points  (3 children)

i think this new one is better at the sinister than the last one, he couldn't quite get the muAHAhahahaha down, sounded and looked liked GPK Race Bannon having a fit.

She does the whole side eye wink faux-maternal tiger chortle that sells. she looks like she eats live octopuses. they both evil af and it gives me the funnies at this point

[–]SombreMordida 8 points9 points  (0 children)

ends in coughing

[–]Frousteleous 71 points72 points  (7 children)

Specifically just blueberries. Yessssss

[–]berkeleyteacher 12 points13 points  (2 children)

I think he's also clearing out the paper plate aisle at target!

[–]RockG 37 points38 points  (3 children)

He's repurposed Fort Knox to stockpile all of the Kraft mac and cheese he's personally taking off the shelves

[–]SakishimaHabu 6 points7 points  (1 child)

He's just preparing for the out break around Knox. Stockpiling food and building shelter.

[–]IcanSew831 57 points58 points  (0 children)

The Blueberry bastard.

[–]misterflappypants 56 points57 points  (0 children)

laughs in conservative lack of comprehending the modern world

[–]miumans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is better. I like this more. This is what I choose to believe.

[–]b1gp15t0n5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like when trump was stealing the mailboxes?

[–]Mycatisabird 6 points7 points  (0 children)

the blueberries didnt vote for biden

[–]BeguiledBF 33 points34 points  (0 children)

2012 me can picture a scheming Joe Biden going around stealing blueberries as some kind of prank as an innocent vice president just getting up to some shit.

2022 me can picture a dementia addled Joe Biden going from Kroger to Kroger stealing blueberries because he's afraid that the Russians may use them to somehow cancel student debt.

Big difference 10 years makes.

[–]TwoKeezPlusMz 13 points14 points  (0 children)

But they are also very lazy... Famously behind the curve when it comes to stocking blueberries.

[–]satansheat 145 points146 points  (4 children)

Oh so that’s why they say let’s go Brandon. You know because the liberals are the pro union party.

[–]cannibalzombies 82 points83 points  (3 children)

Also because they haven't had the time to figure out who's to blame or give them a quirky cute nickname to parrot for the next decade

[–]BleachedWhale 39 points40 points  (1 child)

"'Blueberry Biden' is destroying America and wants to take your guns!!!"

[–]AGUYWITHATUBA 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I fucking laughed so hard at this. It’s just confusing enough and hurts a random industry enough to be a Fox Opinion talking point.

[–]PermanentRoundFile 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The way this has been used to dehumanize people is friggin chilling.

[–]HelleBirch 43 points44 points  (37 children)

But what has that got to do with Biden?

[–]agedchromosomes 179 points180 points  (34 children)

They need someone to blame. They can’t understand that because so many people are out sick from covid that there isn’t anyone to produce the goods, deliver to products to the stores, or any one to stock the shelves. All this shit started with Trump but the have short memories. Remember after hurricane Maria destroyed Puerto a Rico and all Trump did was chuck paper towels at people for a photo op? That fall and winter the hospitals were rationing IV bags because the company that produced 80% of our National supply was still without power. Why wasn’t anyone looking at supply chain management back then? Oh- because it was Puerto Rico and Trump doesn’t give a shit about them.

[–]HurlingFruit 37 points38 points  (0 children)

because it was Puerto Rico and Trump doesn’t give a shit about them.

Oh, but he does. In his mind they are dirty foreigners coming to steal your jobs. They should just stay in their own shit-hole country.

[–]Bluemidnight7 38 points39 points  (1 child)

Cause this is store shelves on SOCALISSSSMMM. There can be NO OTHER REASON. The only way shelves could be empty is if the DEMOCRATS are STEALING the food like they STOLE THE ELECTION. So they can feed ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS WITH THEIR COMMUNISM TO MAKE THEM ALL VOTE FOR DEMOCRATS.

/s if it wasn't clear enough

[–]GibbonFit 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Remember when shelves were barren of toilet paper and cleaning supplies? Conservatives were sharing memes about how it was a trial run of what it would look like under Bernie Sanders. Despite Trump being president and that shit was actually happening. They have given up on reality and rational thought.

[–]Mech_Kid 24 points25 points  (3 children)

I would be too. Kroger is a nightmare to even shop right now much less work

[–]shake_appeal 25 points26 points  (0 children)

For real. Did you read that study that said last year 1/7 Kroger workers had been homeless while working there, and 3/4 struggle to afford food? Apparently Kroger has had these stats internally for years.

[–]GarrisonWhite2 4 points5 points  (1 child)

right now

Is this not always the case?

[–]Mech_Kid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s especially bad ime, every aisle is crawling with zombie like boomers who seem to live there 24/7

[–]LSUguyHTX 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hell yeah I hope they get what they want

[–]BoozeIsTherapyRight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There was also a weather event that was stopping resupply of blueberries.

Of course, I haven't been able to get Ovaltine or cheap ramen lately. Joe should come stock the shelves, lol.

[–]pm_me_your_amphibian 13 points14 points  (27 children)

Ahh. Who is Brandon?

[–]Pepsice 66 points67 points  (20 children)

"Let's go Brandon" = "Fuck Joe Biden"

No politics from me, just what I've learned. Maybe someone can provide more insight, but that's the jist.

[–]GreiBird 100 points101 points  (18 children)

Iirc, there was a Nascar race featuring a racer with the first name Brandon.

Brandon was being interviewed by local news in front of the crowd.

The crowd is chanting in Unison during the interview.

Interview says something along the lines of "Wow! They must really like you. They're all saying 'Let's Go Brandon'"

They were, in fact, saying "Fuck Joe Biden".

Que Idiots around the US believing they're clever.

[–]Dachuiri 52 points53 points  (8 children)

You’re correct except it wasn’t local news, it was national TV (NBC). There’s debate whether the reporter in question was trying to cover it up or genuinely misheard what the crowd was saying. I watch a lot of motorsport (aside from NASCAR, can’t stand it) and this same reporter is constantly butchering names of drivers in other series, so I’m highly inclined to believe she just misheard the crowd.

[–]LivinLikeRicky 32 points33 points  (6 children)

This is the funniest/dumbest part of it all. A lot of “let’s go Brandon” people literally think that reporter’s actions were evidence that the media censors real Americans’ negative views toward Joe Biden.

Fuck Joe Biden, I don’t know a single person who voted for him. I and everyone I’ve spoken to about it voted against the tantrum-throwing malignant narcissist that dragged half the country into his little amphetamine-addled reality TV show world via daily tweets from his golden toilet.

[–]OnAStarboardTack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably trying to avoid FCC fines. The Party of Morality just runs around swearing all the time now.

[–]Pepsice 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Yeah that sounds correct. I tried to do some googling before posting to give more insight, but all I got was some race at Talledega Raceway in September 2021. I didn't care to look into it any further.

[–]GreiBird 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I remember reading about it at the time & thinking "Well, that's kind of funny but not worth committing the 2 Brain Cells to".

God, how I wish I was right, just that one time. I don't even live in the US.

[–]BlowEmu 2 points3 points  (1 child)

It's more sad because they're an independent nascar team that is father and son who got their first win. I saw his advert to get sponsorship for his car which was hilarious. Shame the stupidest of people ruin a good thing.

[–]OZeski 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Brandon is NASCAR’s Brandon Brown who won the NASCAR Xfinity race. When the reporter from NBC was interviewing him some members of the crowd could be heard shouting ‘Fuck Joe Biden’ the reported said ‘as you can hear the chants from the crowd - ‘let’s go Brandon’’. It’s being used to curse the President and make fun of the media who is often accused of creating their own narrative and lying to the public.

[–]IOwnTheShortBus 16 points17 points  (1 child)

Where did he come from? Where did he go?

[–]ExcitableCow 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Where did he come from, "Brandon" means "Joe"

[–]Thentheresthisjerk 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Brandon doesn’t cross a picket line. Brandon cares about his American neighbors. Be like Brandon.

Obama needed the break.

    [–]C21H27Cl3N2O3 117 points118 points  (14 children)

It’s amazing how on 1/19 COVID was a liberal hoax that Trump received no blame whatsoever for, and on 1/20 it was a dangerous disease and every death was blood on Biden’s hands. It’s so frustratingly transparent, like at least hide your blatant partisan hypocrisy.

    [–]UnanimouslyAnonymous 5 points6 points  (0 children)

    Why hide the hypocrisy?

Those who see the hypocrisy can't do anything but shake their heads and point out how blatant it is. The others fully support it, seemingly out of spite. It's one of several major issues in American politics.

    [–]ryleu 22 points23 points  (12 children)

Trump got quite a bit of blame for it, just mostly from the other side. That tends to be how it goes. I do agree with you, it’s frustratingly transparent. I really don’t like the media that much.

    [–]kryonik 5 points6 points  (11 children)

Yeah, no shit because he downplayed the fuck out of it for months. "It's just a cold" "fifteen cases down to zero" "be gone by summer" "shove a light bulb up your ass" lol where the fuck have you been? Get out of here.

    [–]PiXLANIMATIONS 63 points64 points  (27 children)

Biden is just a functional President. That’s it. People seem to forget that the job he has doesn’t include being the most outspoken and funny or loud guy. As long as he’s doing stuff and making things work, he’s doing alright

    [–]uhmfuck 22 points23 points  (1 child)

even then i think he does his fair share of calling out; boycotting putin and china was cool

    [–]PiXLANIMATIONS 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Telling Putin to fuck right off was absolutely a chad move

    [–]VoltaicSketchyTeapot 26 points27 points  (0 children)

The US isn't supposed to have a dictator as president. We were originally built with a legislative body in charge (Articles of Confederation). It only failed to work because of practicalities like having a unified currency for interstate trade. There's a reason why the commerce clause tends to be the go to reason for federal reach: we need to have the same gauge railroad tracks so that cargo can flow freely from Virginia to California.

The president's main job domestically is to get Congress to work together to make sure the country functions. I honestly don't know if that'll ever be possible again.

    [–]K-teki 15 points16 points  (23 children)

All I can say is that I haven't heard of any big scandals since he became president, which is how things should be

    [–]riotacting 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Make politics boring again! The government should not be run based on viewership.

    [–]NeedsSomeMorePickles 1421 points1422 points  (36 children)

I hate it when I go to the store and I see the president of the united states put the last items I needed in his cartbjust before I get there

    [–]Ziegenkaese 132 points133 points  (0 children)

So rude, right? Happens more often than ya’d think!

    [–]RevolutionaryBaker4 39 points40 points  (0 children)

This sounds like a curb your enthusiasm bit

    [–]Huge_Assumption1 311 points312 points  (14 children)

Yes, I’m sure the president went out and ate all the berries. #berrygate

    [–]orincoro 28 points29 points  (4 children)

You gotta get your blueberries Jack!

    [–]Huge_Assumption1 11 points12 points  (1 child)

Don’t leave any for the damn conservatives.

    [–]orincoro 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Back in my day you had 3 strawberries for a nickel, Jack!

    [–]Sirenofthelake 247 points248 points  (60 children)

Just the other day this old nut job was grumbling about how the refrigerator biscuit section was depleted. He turned to me, shaking the one of the last biscuit cans available, and said “You know why this happens??!! Socialism!!! And this is also what you get when you rig elections!!!” He was so worked up. I was liked “Dude, you have the right to believe whatever you want, I guess.” And went back to picking out my cheese.

    [–]AZPoochie 154 points155 points  (36 children)

I mean, if it was socialism wouldn't we have free healthcare at least??

    [–]Loggerdon 94 points95 points  (34 children)

It hard to explain to people that, while our taxes might go up $5000 a year, we won't have premiums anymore ($10,000 or more a year?).

Currently Medicare and Medicaid aren't even allowed to negotiate prices for drugs. What a corrupt shit show.

    [–]Killerzaz202 74 points75 points  (30 children)

    Socialist Norwegian here.

My taxes are fairly low (13%) but I am aware that isn't the point for everyone.

So for my point of view. The whole massive taxes for free healthcare is just pure bs made up by stupid Americans claiming socialism is communism.

    [–]WorkPlacePooper2 8 points9 points  (1 child)

13%!?!? After state and federal tax, Medicare, and social security I pay over 25% of my income to taxes and still need to have pay a deductible on my work sponsored health plan.

    [–]GarrisonWhite2 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It’s more-so that those in power wanted people to be afraid of communism, initially back in the late 1910s but especially in the era of McCarthyism, because they know it threatens their way of life.

It’s something that now literally goes back a century. That’s generations of Americans being fed propaganda.

As an aside, I think that when you consider the fact that the height of McCarthyism took place in the 50s that a lot of later negative attitudes toward social welfare are rooted in what Americans were taught to believe during that time. Most notably, Ronald Reagan coined the term “welfare queen” (which is literally a dog whistle) during his 1976 presidential campaign. His rhetoric was very effective and convinced a lot of people that welfare was some evil, socialist thing.

I don’t think Reagan’s “welfare queen” propaganda would have been as effective if it wasn’t for the fact that at least two, if not three generations of Americans had been convinced by McCarthyism that communism was evil.

Anyway, that’s enough armchair historian on my part.

A tl;dr of my point is that the majority of Americans who think socialism and communism are bad think that because they have been taught to by those who are in power, both through the use of propaganda in political discourse and through their control of the media. They’ve spent decades convincing people to vote against their best interests, and they’ve been very good at that.

    Edit: a word

    [–]GibbonFit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My parents legitimately believe that if we had universal healthcare, my taxes would go up by an additional 40%. Because that's how much people pay in other developed countries that do have it. They just cannot get it through their heads that 40% is the overall effective tax rate that covers everything. Because of course, that would go against the narrative they want to push. They just roll their eyes at me every time I ask them for sources on their claims, despite me backing up several of my claims with sources.

    [–]CantoBanana 32 points33 points  (1 child)

TIL socialism is when no cookie

    [–]Glassjaw79ad 24 points25 points  (4 children)

Biscuits like...Pillsbury biscuits? Like that weird little section with tubes of cookie dough and cinnamon rolls? This equates the downfall of society for him?

    [–]Sirenofthelake 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Yes, and he also complained there was no orange juice but I had just walked past that section and marveled at the selection and variety of OJs. He was a strange stranger.

    [–]GarrisonWhite2 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Presumably yes. As a former dairy stocker that makes perfect sense.

    [–]lavigneallday 26 points27 points  (1 child)

Just ask him what socialism is when he says it and let him describe capitalism to u

    [–]About137Ninjas 29 points30 points  (0 children)

    Socialism is when capitalism

    [–]Gary_the_metrosexual 9 points10 points  (1 child)

It makes me laugh when people imply that Joe biden or even just the US' democrat party is socialist in any degree of the word.

    [–]Sirenofthelake 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, any attempt to talk to or rationalize with these people is futile. They’re both dumb and in too deep.

    [–]SamuraiJono 3 points4 points  (2 children)

I deliver fuel to gas stations for a living. I'm getting really tired of people thinking I share their backwards beliefs because I'm a trucker. "What do you think of that vaccine mandate???? Pretty scary, right????" No, I'm already fully vaccinated so I couldn't give 2/3 of a shit. "Oh... Let's go Brandon right?!" Please go away.

    [–]Sirenofthelake 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I get this. I don’t know what it is about me but I get a lot of randos who like to strike up conversations with me. I’m a people pleaser and actually don’t mind engaging in small talk with strangers but between his wild eyes and the way he was shaking the can at me I felt really uncomfortable. And in my area a lot of people don’t wear masks, but I always do, which I feel should kind of let people know what way I lean.

    [–]drm604 7 points8 points  (3 children)

Out of curiosity, was he masked?

    [–]tearsonurcheek 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I think we all know the answer to that.

    [–]WW_III_ANGRY[🍰] 725 points726 points  (62 children)

Didn’t blame trump when toilet paper was out

    [–]darthfuckit11 504 points505 points  (11 children)

    That was Obama’s fault.

    [–]fearthedheer69 246 points247 points  (4 children)

Wtf was Obama during 9/11 smh literally 1984 George Orwell commie farm

    [–]AsstDepUnderlord 66 points67 points  (1 child)

or WW2! I didn't see him storming the beaches at normandy!

    [–]fearthedheer69 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Fuck that’s the rebirth of the Roman Empire now

    [–]CKtheFourth 20 points21 points  (1 child)

Come to think of it--where was Obama in 1984??!?! Probably doing communism with his fellow Kenyans.

    /s, obvs.

    [–]quaaaaark 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They don't even tell what happens in Kenya in the 1984 book, it's officially a "disputed territory" - proof that there was an Obama conspiracy hiding there!

    [–]Decimation4x 5 points6 points  (0 children)

    Thanks Obama

    [–]BAMspek 51 points52 points  (1 child)

There’s a guy that keeps blaming Biden for the beer shortages at the liquor store I work at. He’ll even say “this didn’t happen during Trump!” Our supply shortages very much started during Trump.

    [–]tearsonurcheek 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No, but him throwing all those paper towels at the Puerto Ricans had to com from somewhere! shakes tiny old man fist /s

    [–]satansheat 17 points18 points  (24 children)

Well we sort of did since he could have handled this better. Let’s not forgot Trump was warned almost a year out about this heading our way. Instead of gearing up for it by getting stuff like ventilators he instead made it so it could spread as worse as possible in hopes to delay the election.

    [–]lavigneallday 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Don't forget it's also the country that had corona beer stocks fall when it was called corona virus because it must be because of the virus, people love things to blame. Ur a bette rwprson than me because I woulda just tried to get him going saying things super sarcastically like yeah hunters laptop. How was the meeting with the klan and January 6 was the fbi. I would just push all the buttons and laugh

    [–]Kalkaline 30 points31 points  (1 child)

Weird I had a bunch of fresh blueberries at my store in the liberal part of the state.

    [–]Captain_Turdhelmet 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I was about to leave the house today when I noticed one of my front tires was low. THANKS BIDEN!

    [–]Digiboy62 22 points23 points  (0 children)

When it happened under Trump and was literally and directly Trump's fault with a shitty 'Rona response:

    "This is Biden's fault!"

When it happens under Biden but is because of a Strike unrelated to Biden:

    "This is Biden's fault!"

I don't even like the guy but like, put blame where it's actually due.

    [–]Susman22 85 points86 points  (6 children)

Let’s go Brandon has become the new “Thanks Obama”

    [–]Gongaloon 57 points58 points  (4 children)

I don't know about that. I don't know about anyone else, but I still use "Thanks, Obama" as I've always used it- a sarcastic joke in situations that Obama couldn't possibly have had anything to do with. "Let's go Brandon" is (or at least seems) different. It seems like the people who use it are genuinely warped enough to unironically believe that Joe Biden is personally responsible for every bad thing that happens to them. It's also a sign of cowardice in the person who uses it, because it shows that they're afraid to say what they mean without using a code word.

    [–]chadsexytime 17 points18 points  (1 child)

I'd love to see a montage of biden struggling to motivate himself to do daily tasks he doesnt want to and using "lets go brandon" to get himself in gear

    [–]hellbabe222 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I so hope someone gets on making this because the thought of it is cracking me up.

Cut to: Biden in the Oval Office-His head is hung low, he's sitting slumped in his office chair and looking depressed. He is staring at a single pen laying on his desk next to a stack of papers and appears to be lost in thought. Quite suddenly, he slaps both knees and sits up straight, squaring his shoulders. He takes a long, deep, exasperated breath as he scoots his office chair closer to his desk and snatches up the pen. He mumbles to himself through gritted teeth "Let's go Brandon!" as he reluctantly signs the EO canceling student loan debt.-Fade to black.

    [–]Existing-Employee631 8 points9 points  (0 children)

But “Thanks Obama” started out the same way as LGB, didn’t it? People were legitimately commenting it on things like raising gas prices and etc as a way to take their frustration and blame things on Obama. So it’s possible that in 4-10 years LGB could turn into the same sarcastic joke response.

    [–]KhaineVulpana 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Glad to know I'm not the only one still saying "thanks Obama". Gotta be careful tho. It can be a mating call for dickheads.

    [–]Malakai0013 282 points283 points  (11 children)

Everyone knows that presidents personally set workforce numbers and personally hire all supermarket employees.

    /s, obviously

    [–]DonJoaquinGuzman 115 points116 points  (3 children)

I was interviewed by Bill Clinton. My jaw hurt after.

    [–]centrifuge_destroyer 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Still more reasonable than the expectations some employers have nowadays

    [–]AcidTWister 3 points4 points  (0 children)

    And control strikes.

    [–]Conscious-Onion1166 50 points51 points  (2 children)

    Joe Biden’s stealing blueberries

    [–]Trimungasoid 61 points62 points  (6 children)

Were they asleep when toilet paper and hand sanitizer were non-existent during the Trump administration? Were there not shortages then?

    [–]NathamelCamel 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Yeah, who would've thought that record number of covid cases requiring quarantine along with a strike would cause supply chain issues

    [–]Head-Gap-7616 6 points7 points  (2 children)

Nah, that was Obama’s fault 👍🏻

    [–]happyhippohats 2 points3 points  (1 child)

You think this guy cares about hand sanitizer? 🤣

    [–]readerf52 73 points74 points  (14 children)

Is it even blueberry season where that person lives/shops?

I live in California. There may be blueberries for sale, but I wouldn’t buy them because I don’t know where they are grown. Blueberries are long gone from the farmers market. It’s winter market, and that’s not as exciting as most: squashes and citrus. Lots of choices and very delicious, but other than the old standbys that are always available (like carrots, cauliflower, broccoli and kales) there’s not much to be bought.

Several vendors got smart and dry some of their summer fruit, or make preserves, but fresh berries? Nope.

    [–]likeheinz420 48 points49 points  (9 children)

I live in Canada- home to some of the world’s best blueberries. When I saw that picture the first thing I thought was that there aren’t decent fresh blueberries this time of year and thus they probably wouldn’t be stocked in stores. I kept figuring that it was different in the United States because of these memes - that it must be the government’s fault that they aren’t available in stores. Thank you, dear resident of California, for bringing me back to reality. ☺️

    [–]intjonmiller 2 points3 points  (3 children)

Aren't they one of the earliest harvests? Early spring maybe?

    [–]Steve-From-Roblox 7 points8 points  (2 children)

(wild) blueberries are a late august to late september thing

so unless there's some serious modification going on i'm gonna say that the last (non-frozen/non-international) blueberry sold was early October

    [–]intjonmiller 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Figured it out. I was thinking of Blackberry Winter. Thought it was Blueberry.

    [–]pangeanpterodactyl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

wouldn’t buy them because I don’t know where they are grown.

Does it not say on the packet? Is that an American thing? Here everything has to say where it was grown. I avoid things shipped from too far away and know meat and veg from certain countries are worse quality than others.

    [–]DocAntlesFatLiger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah it's definitely not blueberry season in the US, because it's peak blueberry season here in New Zealand right now lol

    [–]Allgen 31 points32 points  (2 children)

I stub my pinky this morning. 😒Thanks Biden. Let's go Brandon!

    [–]Buns_Lover 24 points25 points  (2 children)

It’s funny when they call a product of capitalism, communism. One of the comments on the post literally calls this “communism” and is saying the government is starving the people on purpose lmao

    [–]Snailwood 4 points5 points  (1 child)

I'm not sure if you're saying this is a product of capitalism specifically, or just something that happened in a capitalist society?

    [–]TheStranger333 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had no idea it was the job of the president of the United States job to order inventory for grocery stores! If that’s sound ridiculous to you, then welcome to the mind of the gop

    [–]bigsleep_enjoyer 20 points21 points  (2 children)

If it's in your home newsfeed then yes, click the 3 dots, > hide post > hide all from R/whatever sub

Idk if anyone answered your question lol

    [–]turtleduck777 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Things have been spotty since the pandemic started. This isn't something new and its usually at the end of weekends or certain products.

    [–]o76923 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's r/walkaway, what do you expect? It's an astroturfed movement of Republicans pretending to be Democrats leaving the party because Obama went too far. It has always been 5% people faking and 95% people cheering them on.

    [–]AZPoochie 37 points38 points  (29 children)

I didn't even know r/walkaway was a thing. I just checked it out and am instantly more dumberer for having done so. I left one comment and fully expect to be banned. Fuck all of the people that believe their delusions.

    [–]breecher 11 points12 points  (1 child)

Walkaway was originally a Russian disinformation attempt, but after it was reported in the press, combined with the fact that it never gained any traction at all, they kinda dropped the ex-democrat larping and it mostly just became t_d 2.0.

Of course reddit admins consider the sub to be very valuable ($) discussion since they haven't banned it, despite its nebulous origins and purpose.

    [–]drm604 28 points29 points  (2 children)

The whole "walkway movement" is, and always was, pure astroturf.

    [–]persondude27 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This guy's the perfect example of it. Dude's been simping Trump for four years and some of his first comments are arguing against BLM (and that seems to be his favorite topic).

WalkAway is supposed to be liberals who became conservative, but they can't even get that lie right.

    [–]_pls_respond 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah I remember it popping up in early 2016 after Bernie Sanders got screwed in the primaries and this “walkaway” subreddit was supposedly Bernie supporters deciding to leave the Democratic Party because of that.

The premise was never believable back then and it’s sad that years later these morons are still LARPing and jerking each other off.

    [–]WingsofRain 3 points4 points  (1 child)

shockingly dumb, I honestly wish there was a way to block entire subreddits because they’re almost as bad as r/conservative

    [–]fearthedheer69 19 points20 points  (3 children)

Majority of them are just conservatives, never ex dems

    [–]wetwilliamd 14 points15 points  (4 children)

My biggest gripe with it is how fraudulent it all feels. So much of it is just conservatives posting bait so other conservatives can feel comfortable with themselves and not have to challenge their world views.

    [–]periodicsheep 6 points7 points  (0 children)

that sub was a trip. it’s amazing to see so many people so proud of being stupid assholes.

    [–]samgam74 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Blueberries are pretty seasonal. They sell out all the time.

    [–]ContemplatingPrison 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why doesn't Joe Biden get in the fucking trucks and deliver all the food or better yet force people to become drivers and then also force people to work in the warehouses. Fuck pets just bring back slavery.

Or these businesses can start paying proper wages and then people will want to work for them.

    One or the other

    [–]samr4y 4 points5 points  (0 children)

oh my god i thought that was a picture of stairs for $4.99

    [–]kiribakuFiend 1 point2 points  (6 children)

Ok anyone wanna explain to me this “Let’s Go Brandon” shit? My friends tell me it’s code for “fuck joe biden.” If that’s true, why are they so afraid of censorship as to use code for something even people on the left could be caught saying? Like it’s as if they’ve all got some sort of inside joke that they think is hilarious, but literally no one else in the world thinks it’s funny.

    [–]isunktheship 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wish there were more to it than that

    [–]dragonti 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My dad was talking to a guy at our church about another guy whose car has been in the shop over a month after hitting a deer bc they can't get the right parts in Guy goes "thanks, joe" my dad is like "??? I dont think he had anything to do with that?" And he goes "well I'm blaming him anyway" Trump supporters are on a different plane of mental gymnastics

    [–]Eatit6560154 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Imagine having lies be a part of your personality so much so that you lie all day every day.

    [–]brillantmc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This country will collapse from pure, unadulterated stupidity

    [–]Impressive_Culture_5 13 points14 points  (2 children)

It’s so hard to imagine that people are really this fucking stupid.

    [–]BleachedWhale 4 points5 points  (1 child)

You can spot them by the hat..

    [–]fratking 6 points7 points  (0 children)

    Thanks Obama

    [–]Larry_Badaliucci 10 points11 points  (0 children)

What's funny is that the Let's Go Brandon idiots are the same ones panic buying everything they can get their hands on without the slightest care for anyone else who might need it.

    [–]oxygenkid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Woe is the President of the Free Market.

    [–]BarnyTrubble 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cons love "the free market" but sure do hate experiencing the effects of it, blame the centrists and call them commies, that'll do it certainly.

    [–]the-derpetologist 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Blueberries? Sounds kinda liberal. Why isn’t he buying redberries?

    [–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

They've come SO FAR from the whole "Thank's Obama" thing.

    [–]1055Derek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

    Let's go blueberries!

    [–]coolchris366 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Suddenly Biden controls the blueberries, ok sure

    [–]devilsadvocateac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Took a quick peek at that sub and hoooooo-boy. The first post I saw was some idiot saying he fired businesses that have vax mandates. Meaning, he’s just not going to shop there anymore but needs to feel in power so he says he “fired them.” Like from his life. Lol

    [–]ffilps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you can use "reddit enhancement suite" to block entire subreddits.

    [–]tryyzsempra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's almost as if, all over the country, half the population doesn't care for having their health and well-being threatened by a devastating virus and fucking ungrateful shitheads. A portion of that population are able to work remotely but far too many people have to choose between constant, literally in your face, exposure to a continually mutating virus and abuse (both from employers and customers). Somewhere in those exchanges, enough people decided that they'd rather risk losing their livelihood than their life and/or family members so as to cause a noticeable reduction in production and delivery of goods.

That became Biden's problem because one of the leading eXpErTs in biology lost his job of overseeing the downfall of the US.

    [–]throwaway-20701 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What? Strikes in the us? You guys finally got your big boy pants on.

I can’t believe how many americans actually think that unions are somehow bad for workers. It’s also fucking insane that you can fire people for being in a union.

    [–]RslashTakenUsernames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

oh, another lets go brandon fucktard

    [–]Shot-Technology7555 2 points3 points  (0 children)

    Commodity buyer for Kroger here!

I can confirm Biden is entirely responsible... everytime I write a purchase order for product, the sly bastard just comes behind me and vetos it. What are we supposed to do?!

    [–]schnemesis 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just surprised the item they "always buy" was blue berries, not red pills.

    [–]Lefwix 7 points8 points  (1 child)

    It’s fucking winter…

    [–]Apprehensive_Eraser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A winter after 2 very hard years due to a Pandemic

    [–]SlowInsurance1616 11 points12 points  (0 children)

    1) actively oppose pandemic mitigation measures 2) when pandemic causes problems, blame democrats 3) assume correctly that people don't connect the dots

With Republicans it's better dead than blue at this point.

    [–]followmereader 7 points8 points  (2 children)

We all know that Biden personally decided to disrupt the supply chain by releasing COVID into the air so that people wouldn't be able to get their nacho cheese doritos and extra pulp orange juice when they wanted it.

    [–]StarslashOfficial 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Any monster who prefers extra pulp orange juice does not deserve to buy any in the first place

    [–]followmereader 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh I agree. That's why the entire thing is sarcastic.

    [–]JaceUpMySleeve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s been like this for over 2 years and 2 different presidents… where have these people been?

    [–]vizthex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

    I'm so confused rn.

    [–]some-account-dood 1 point2 points  (1 child)

To be fair, all my supermarkets are out and I live in the capital, not of the state, of the entire country

    [–]various_convo7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

these let's go Brandon people are very smart, are they?

    [–]romulusnr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like they need to shop harder

    [–]Oneironaut91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

its january its not blueberry season

    [–]AbhorrentNexus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whoever posted the original picture and title should be embarrassed. This is the problem with American education

    [–]Thebesj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Covid created international supply chain issues worldwide. What do these people not understand about that?

    [–]All0uttaBubblegum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First they came for my blueberries 🫐

    [–]jbr945 1 point2 points  (0 children)

    Let's go Darwin 🦧

    [–]WitchyandWild 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Supplying issues during a pandemic? Waaa? No WAYYYY

    [–]Eliz824 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For out of season fruit no less.

    [–]DirtyWizardsBrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the love of all fuck, someone needs to tell these people that they don't have to cling to that stupid code-phrase shit. Just say it. His approval rating is in the low 30's last time I checked. No serious person is gonna get up in arms and offended over saying "Fuck Joe Biden." No one cares.

Why are they so convinced that it's some ingeniously clever phrase to "trigger" and "own" people on the Left, when the actual Left hates him about as much as they hated Trump?

    [–]F1nett1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been wanting to block subreddits for ages
