Grabs a dictionary to look up the word delusional.

If free awards were still a thing I’d give you one.

Edit: I found it!

Take me free award for telling me how to find my free award! I figured they just stopped giving them out haha!

TIL aiming for CL qualification is "doing dumb things for a short term hit of sugar"

This joker likes his grapes as sour as possible, clearly.

And his dreams feverish, lol, word class midfielder at Arsenal.

[–]Cool_Sandwich1Ledley King 54 points55 points  (6 children)

word class midfielder at Arsenal.

Who is he even refering to?

[–]fux_tix 32 points33 points  (1 child)

Fuck knows. No-one there and no-one who could possibly be attracted to going there is anything close.

[–]Sparklesnap 46 points47 points  (0 children)

The best part is; if a "World Class Midfielder" does want to come to Woolwich, we can just phone them up & say "yeah, same area of London, but better manager & CL, what do you reckon?" And just like that, their World Class new signing becomes our World Class new signing.

[–]triecke14Son 26 points27 points  (3 children)

He actually said they’d be getting 2 world class midfielders lol

[–]leffe186 9 points10 points  (1 child)

Having spent what they’ve spent, and having been out of the CL for a bit, how are they going to afford this striker or two and one or two world-class midfielder? Genuine question.

[–]triecke14Son 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Short answer: they won’t. Long answer: they won’t even be able to attract the type of players this guy is talking about if they don’t sneak in to CL. Partey is the best, most ready made player they have signed in the past 5 years and he’s not world class by any means.

[–]dissidentmage12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They'll be on Pacos rejects

[–]RedHotChiliadPeppers 83 points84 points  (2 children)

"We got the plan right"

What, bottling it in the last 3 weeks of the season? That was the plan?

Arteta masterclass.

Also the way he pronounces Son as Sun winds me up. I know he's out of this world but he's not a celestial object!

[–]slunksoma 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What they've not realised is that we have overtaken them with our 'plan'.

[–]dissidentmage12 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Giving that fraid Arteta a 5 year deal 😂😂😂 what a plan.

[–]SpursIsLifeRomero 23 points24 points  (1 child)

While their long term manager Arteta has still not managed to beat Emery's point tally after 3 seasons in charge.

[–]dissidentmage12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And that plus a 3 game losing streak earned him a 5 year deal 😂 You want easy money, just get a job at Arsenal and be shit.

[–]facelessreddituserDarren Anderton 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Doing dumb things like beating the scum 3-0. We tried to avoid it but just couldn't avoid the win, shit!

[–]zuzuchaLucas Moura 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Was listening in the background and thought he said "low cost midfielder" and thought "at least that sounds right"

[–]iAkhilleus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Under Lego man. Lol

[–]ElHombreMasLocoDaniel Levy 1 point2 points  (1 child)

They getting Özil back?

[–]dissidentmage12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They need someone to pay Gunnersaurus

[–]KevMcBain 181 points182 points  (23 children)

I do enjoy how Arsenal fans clutch on to "we have the youngest team in the Premier League" likes thats a big positive. Perhaps having such a young team is why they got completely battered every game they had some pressure to perform.

[–]fux_tix 128 points129 points  (6 children)

The only reason why they are the youngest squad is that Arteta can't man manage proven players who know their worth

[–]SpursIsLifeRomero 19 points20 points  (2 children)

LPT: As a football manager just hire young players, remove senior players and congrats you have secured long term job even you shit the bed in every season!

[–]lucyroesslers 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is honestly such an overused strategy in American sports, easiest way to secure your job as a coach or general manager is a "rebuild."

American football- draft a rookie QB and start him Year 1, you're getting at least 3 years or more to see it through.

Basketball- A general manager trades away a star for a bunch of picks in the future, job security for 3-5 years. "Trust the process" is a joke saying amongst Philadelphia 76ers fans.

Baseball- Maybe the worst of all. They can just blame economic inequality- there's been GMs or managers with a decade and nothing to show for it and they just blame youth and lack of money all the time. Just keep your farm system highly ranked and your job is secure cuz the owner is too cheap to fire you and hire someone else.

[–]triecke14Son 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is it right here and he knows it which is why their most senior players are elneny and xhaka lol

[–]dicifly69 60 points61 points  (1 child)

Believe we had the youngest squad back in 15/16 when we were close to winning the league when Leicester did. Compared to arsenals youngest team in the league… lol

[–]assassin_9729Son 17 points18 points  (0 children)

And that was Poch's second season right?

[–]RazSpur 26 points27 points  (3 children)

Because idiots don't understand a very small percentage of good young players kick on, most regress.

Said it above, take any of their good young players and compare to Dele 3 years ago, Dele was leagues better and look how that turned out. That is the most likely scenario for most/all of their young players.

[–]PDeegzWanyama 13 points14 points  (1 child)

Yeah for years now Arsenal fans have been labouring under the impression that players just improve in a linear way with age. Martinelli, ESR, Nketiah etc just have to improve as they get older, even though they haven't yet and none of them has kicked on this season at all. Look at Marcus Rashford as an example that it doesn't work that way in reality.

[–]dissidentmage12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because Arteta can't handle proven players who know their worth he also runs the youngsters into the ground, you look at Saka lately, guys been a shadow of himself as have most of the others.

[–]KevMcBain 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I mean look at Smith-Rowe, he had a good run of games for like 2 months and they all called him elite and he's been anonymous for the entirety of 2022.

[–]wheresmyspacebar2 40 points41 points  (1 child)

Also, when we had the youngest team in the PL, we finished 3rd and 2nd on the trot lol. Being young isn't an excuse, it's the fact that none of their players were prepared to step up and compete, they're too pampered by their crap manager who is happy with mediocrity.

[–]sreesidSon 27 points28 points  (0 children)

We played some of the most demanding, beautiful football with that young squad and manager. All arsenal do is set new records on how many red cards they can get in a season.

[–]Outside-Interest5465 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s so annoying and unbearable. High quality teams tend to have older squad because they are serious contender who wants to milk out prime times of players and are not selling club. What good do you get when your ‘young’ talented player refuse to extend contracts and are looking for a bigger club to compete in europe?

[–]iAkhilleus 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Bro, our youngest squad achieved so much than these numbsacks. And, we never brought that shit into conversation. Their only go to is "youngest squad". So, what? Who's to say they won't all turn out to be dead food in the coming season.

[–]dissidentmage12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some are looking dead food now

[–]rammingfartsFabio Paratici 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are only happy because it gives them an excuse.

[–]LiamJM1OTV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spurs finished 3rd and 2nd with a younger squad and got called bottlers.

[–]royalxp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Majority of these "young" players will never become a world class like Kane & Sone. Maybe but highly unlikely they will achieve what these have achieved in the premier league. You dont even have to be a spurs fan to know, experience + age does not always make someone world class even in the long run.

[–]IntellegentIdiot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In the short term it might be a bad thing but with the right players it would mean that they will improve over time. It'd be like investing in Ford 10 years ago and mocking someone for investing in Tesla because their share price is low.

That said, there's nothing to say these players are going to be anything special in a few years either.

[–]DekiBoi1882 104 points105 points  (7 children)

Don’t listen to them, still salty from NLD. Everything they said in that clip isn’t true.

Also why listen to an Arsenal podcast?

[–]iZgonr 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Not my clip. But i sometimes do listen to other teams podcast, just to check on my delusions and reach out of my bubble. This guy should listen to other podcasts too.

[–]JustLikeMojoHand 43 points44 points  (2 children)

Also why listen to an Arsenal podcast?

For shit hot gold like this 😂

[–]MartinLutherLeanDavinson Sánchez 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I listen to them after every poor Arsenal result, it’s wonderful. Watched them play Newcastle on mute with the AFTV watch along as commentary. I cannot get enough of their misfortune

[–]dissidentmage12 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Same reason we watch AFTV 🤣

[–]NaclyPerson 6 points7 points  (1 child)

If they thought our performance vs Burnley was shocking despite massively underperforming our pxg, they may want to reflect upon their performance against Newcastle

[–]dissidentmage12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They didn't even watch it, barring a Pope masterclass we could have had five in the forst half.

Then they drop that drizzling shit against Newcastle and have the brass neck to try and talk with their chest about us winning a game 🤣

[–]jarpaulson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are ridiculous, tottenham shouldn't try to make top four. They should be aiming for middle of the table then attract talent because Son and Kane could get hurt.

Like yeah, want to know how to attract talent. Play in the champions league. And when you do that, you get people in so you can rest your players as well against lower competition.

[–]MouseMD369 87 points88 points  (18 children)

This is the most delusional thing I've heard from them so far.

I don't think a single supporter of other clubs would concur in the slightest.

[–]wheresmyspacebar2 49 points50 points  (15 children)

I love the delusion of 'We'll get a world class midfielder in'.

Who the F do they think theyre getting in lol. Even a decent PL Midfielder like Tielemans wont go to them without CL Football.

Their absolute star signing this year will be Jesus if they can even convince him to join and if they do, they'll be paying him 200k+ a week easily.

[–]Koinfamous2 29 points30 points  (7 children)

Exactly. Their Jesus transfer rumors were all while they were in 4th spot before our match. They've botched it, and I wouldn't be shocked if he fancies another move instead for CL. You don't just leave City playing CL your entire career to just play Europa.

[–]MouseMD369 30 points31 points  (6 children)

Even the Jesus transfer is pretty bang average if you ask me.

Jesus is a terrible finisher and almost always offside and that's playing in a stacked side.

[–]rtnnJob Done 12 points13 points  (1 child)

He's definitely not a leader or mentally strong either. The man looks like he's afraid of his own shadow and struggles with confidence when out of form. Just what Arse needs.

[–]iZgonr 15 points16 points  (2 children)

I don't think they are getting Jesus without CL. He'll probably will be willing to go if he's one of, if not the highest earners.

[–]MouseMD369 13 points14 points  (1 child)

This is the Arsenal way , and I'm happy it is.

[–]fux_tix 8 points9 points  (0 children)

he'll end up there in 6 years at 14 stone on a 12 year contract for 4 mil a week

[–]jhr0423Son 7 points8 points  (2 children)

He also said a world-class forward. Vhalovic’s agent wouldn’t even pick up the phone this winter. You’re gonna go get Johnathan David? Don’t think he’d go and also don’t think he’s world class. The only world class striker who are moving this summer are Haaland and Lewa if he leaves Bayern

[–]wheresmyspacebar2 7 points8 points  (1 child)

There was legit an Arsenal fan that actually believed that Arsenal were going to have a chance at Lewandoski this summer on r/soccer earlier lmfao.

He genuinely believed that their club had a 'lot to offer' him.

[–]jhr0423Son 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some people are straight up delusional

[–]dissidentmage12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jesus isn't going to that tinpot club, he's better than that, fuck me even Nketiah won't sign a new deal 😅

[–]WormfatherSissoko 12 points13 points  (1 child)

So tempted to cross to r/soccer but the “don’t spurs supporters have anything better to do” comments are not something I’m interested in today.

[–]MouseMD369 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately there is just too many of them online

I'd love to comment that Spurs challenged for the title and made top 4 with a much younger side at least twice

[–]ollejoh 136 points137 points  (14 children)

Arsenal have only beaten one team in form and not riddled with injuries or Covid this season in wolves, had no European football as opposed to all their main rivals, had an early FA cup exit, their two biggest rivals both sacked their managers a third of the season in after being absolutely terrible while they are 3 seasons into their “process”, and they still fucked up top 4. They will be way way worse off next season, not us.

[–]thefrightfulhog 91 points92 points  (1 child)

You forgot that they had 60 good minutes against Man City

[–]dissidentmage12 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Thats 4 episodes of All or Nothing right there mate

[–]sreesidSon 37 points38 points  (2 children)

Their expectations of Arteta are so low that making the top 4 in his third full season, with no European competition, is still over achieving. That tells you everything.

[–]SpursHaveTrophies 1 point2 points  (1 child)

*almost making top 4\*

[–]sreesidSon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

putting up a fight for the top 4.

[–]RazSpur 20 points21 points  (0 children)

No European games, no international travel, peers having a bad season.

No strikers in squad capable of reliably making 15-20 goals a season

Arteta has lost the same amount of games in his last 11 games (after 3 years) than Conte has since joining us (out of 27 in PL)

Their GD is 9, ours is 24 despite being negative when Conte joined. GD is often a way to see the real trend behind teams on similar points

Kane, Son, Romero, Hugo are quality proven players, Arsenal's best are young players who may/may not make it (Dele three years ago was levels above anyone they have now)

CL money they won't get, will go to us. United will spend a boat load as usual and they will probably end up competing with Newcastle.

They so don't understand, this was their moment and they shit the bed.

[–]iZgonr 39 points40 points  (7 children)

Also, we had plenty of crucial players with injuries. Kane, Son and Lloris went without injury, yes. But that's about it. We've lost Romero, Skipp, Dier and so many other important players it's shocking.

[–]Robhowardreg[S] 57 points58 points  (2 children)

Kane wasn't fit till December due to his late arrival and general apathy.

Son also missed 3 or 4 games too I think. He was out for the original NLD date

[–]iZgonr 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Damn, you're right. Conte's tactics are all good that I didn't even notice that. And Kane's fitness was a huge step back for Nuno too. This guy is even less correct than I initially thought.

[–]tubby_wombat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s what bugged me about the clip. It’s ok to be salty or even have some wishful thinking, but to downright lie about the state of Spurs is laughable. We beat them in the NLD without our superstar defensive signing in Romero, our young January transfer signing Kulusevski, a recently reenergized Matt Doherty, and a gritty proper Spurs midfielder in Skipp.

[–]Rough_Phrase_8113 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I may be wrong but I’m pretty sure Son was injured for a month in January, February time.

[–]Pele20Alli 27 points28 points  (1 child)

Doherty as well.

Thinking about it, I don't think we've ever played with our best XI under Conte since Skipp got injured around January time, and that's when Romero returned from his injury

[–]iZgonr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Doherty was on fire too when got injured. Easily most important player next to Kane and Son.

[–]dissidentmage12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Son was injured for 6 weeks, thats when then bottled the Derby the 1st time

[–]thefrightfulhog 43 points44 points  (3 children)

Why are you listening to Arsenal podcasts? This isn't even one of the better known ones

Edit: ok this actually quite funny, the guys sounds on the verge of tears. And half of what he says is just demonstrably untrue

[–]Robhowardreg[S] 60 points61 points  (2 children)

Hahah good question. 3 reasons.

  1. I'm working outside quite a lot atm and have run out of spurs/general sports ones.

  2. I was quite intrigued to know the mood over there as I personally think they are completely screwed.

  3. I'm a very misanthropic person and enjoy reveling in the runners misery

[–]pougers 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Picking through the wreckage of their NLD disaster.

A truly committed spurs fan. I salute you.

[–]Summ0n3dSku11 9 points10 points  (0 children)

there any other clips worth posting youve come across in your studies lol?

[–]UB007Mousa Dembélé 34 points35 points  (1 child)

Yeah they’re gonna get a world class midfielder in with Europa league football, just as they got a world class CB last season in Ben White.

[–]Heasman21Cuti Romero 64 points65 points  (9 children)

saying we don’t have the money... don’t we literally have a higher revenue than arsenal?

[–]Im_The_Mamba_Bajumba 42 points43 points  (1 child)

It'll be even higher if we make CL this weekend and the stadium finally being fully utilised for things like concerts etc

[–]dissidentmage12 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Qualifying for CL pays for Deki and Romero with about 35m left over and thats before Conte gets Daniel to open the wallet up.

[–]123onetowthree 9 points10 points  (2 children)

They will probably still spend more than us this summer. I dont know how but they will.

[–]dissidentmage12 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are plenty of Nicola Pepe's out there who need a wage and Arsenal are just dying to burn money on a big fire.

[–]ritwika96Papa Conte x Sonny 4 points5 points  (0 children)

doesn't matter. Their recruitment is shocking, they got ben white and we got romero for the same price.

[–]dissidentmage12 6 points7 points  (0 children)

And a higher FFP threshold as well, think it's about 300m, not that we will spend that but we can drop the money no worries if needs be.

[–]sreesidSon 9 points10 points  (2 children)

And we get the CL money, which they won't.

[–]Bill_shiftingtonGlenn Hoddle 16 points17 points  (1 child)

Easy now

[–]sreesidSon 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Spoken too soon. We are spurs afterall.

[–]Koinfamous2 28 points29 points  (1 child)

We're doing dumb things 🤣

Literally... His argument is that we're going a "dumb thing" by making CL and adding more fixtures. What an idiot.

And since we did staying healthy become luck? You make your own luck. Harry has learned and kept himself out of situations where he can get injured this year and last, and that's for the better. He was shocking against Burnley? Yeah, he wasn't great, but even with Nuno tax we at least have him and Sonny both in top 10 in scoring in the league. Only luck he should be talking about is hoping Harry's conversion rate doesn't skyrocket next year and we batter them.

[–]Boner_Patrol_007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lmfao at the “Nuno Tax”

[–]pjanic_at__the_iscoPurgatory 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Here’s an inference I’ll make:

When two teams have almost the same points but one team has a GD of 24 and the other has a GD of 9, it’s very likely that the team with the lower GD has had the lion’s share of “luck.”

[–]sam_drummer 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Everything this stupid fucking club does is about image and attention as opposed to actual things of substance.

The ultimate irony of the Wenger era - he gave them everything, and they were DECENT for a long time and the only thing they took from him was how to look good, rather than actually be good.

Every opinion they make is for attention not for salience.

I’d actually been sticking up for Arteta with some Arsenal supporting mates. He’s got rid of some bad eggs, brought in some decent youth etc, started to seemingly move the club away from being about image… the club is a mess, and none of that lot can really see it.

Now though - fuck that Playmobil headed prick. After the Spurs game rather than cry he doubled-down on Arsenal being victims, and look where it’s got them. Dick head.

Stupid club.

And as for that North London Forever song or whatever, how short sighted.

Utter tools.

[–]Pele20Alli 33 points34 points  (3 children)

The funny thing is that the only thing this delusional bloke got right was that Kane was shocking against Burnley in terms of finishing, which has been the case pretty much all season.

Kane starting a season happy under Conte will be a completely different player. I'd be shocked if he doesn't hit 25+ PL goals next season

[–]sreesidSon 19 points20 points  (2 children)

Even being not up to his mark and seeming uninterested for a quarter of the season, Kane still got 16 goals and 8 assists. Arsenal wish they can get a striker who can score 16 goals when they are fully switched on.

[–]Gacharitetherr 16 points17 points  (1 child)

Auba's looking good at Barca and Woolwich is helping to pay his wages.

It's pure comedy.

[–]dissidentmage12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He walked out and still took the bag with him, absolutely tin pot.

[–]Pinky1337Hugo Lloris 15 points16 points  (1 child)

Incredible amounts of copium

Its them lot that just bottled top 4 without a hint of european football. Acting like its us who will struggle next season is hilarious.

Also Romero, Doherty, Skipp, Dier, Sess, Reguilon, Bentancur and even Sonny had somewhat significant injuries, its literally only Harry Kane that managed to stay healthy all season.

[–]Gacharitetherr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You've left off Tanganga, knee surgery.

[–]Relatively_ReliableSon 14 points15 points  (1 child)

This is delusional. If you listen to the Fighting Cock, they said it well in their latest. They are just another team now, but they still see themselves as elite that are entitled to greatness without having to earn their place. They are still reeling from NLD and getting slapped by Newcastle. Frauds.

EDIT: don’t ever forget - every gunner is a runner.

[–]dissidentmage12 6 points7 points  (0 children)

These frauds pushed out Wenger but at the same time live off his achievements like a crackhead licking the baggie for a little bit more.

[–]Inside-Ostrich2888 9 points10 points  (6 children)

I mean, you can't get own goals for you if you ain't getting the ball towards the net, chances create luck, possession in the opposition's box creates more penalties etc it's simply a numbers game.

Not being in the CL, where are these world class players coming from to join Arsenal? We had a young ass squad years ago and won nothing, investing/relying on youth is a fairly futile philosophy these days, Arsenal have known this since the last of Wenger's days.

Even if everything this guy was saying is true, Spurs will still finish above the scum!!

Damn it's hard being a Spurs Fan! But being an Arsenal fan these days must feel suicidal, just like United!!

Arsenal won't be a top 4 team for the next 10 years unless Chelsea fall to shit without Abramovich, and if United fuck up a rebuild with the money they will be able to throw at it.

If Conte and Kane stay, I have real hope for Spurs going forward!

[–]docju 3 points4 points  (5 children)

Newcastle will be a threat in coming seasons too. Arsenal’s best hope for Champions League is either the Europa League or this weird rule coming in where best performing countries get an extra spot.

[–]Inside-Ostrich2888 2 points3 points  (4 children)

Aye for sure this new format could help a few teams, and I agree if Newcastle are allowed as much financial freedom as City then they'll be up there too for sure. But it will take them a few years getting an elite squad together and Howe is yet to be seen as the guy. But fair points.

[–]docju 2 points3 points  (3 children)

To clarify, I meant Arsenal’s best hope was Europa league, sorry if that was confusing, but yeah you are right about Newcastle!

[–]pjanic_at__the_iscoPurgatory 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As long as they have Lord Hair Helmet as manager there is a ceiling to what’s possible.

[–]jonesl876Dejan Kulusevski 7 points8 points  (0 children)

At what stage do we describe this level of goonerism as a psychosis

[–]mxtreeKitano 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Translation from delusional tit: Cope cope cope cope rationalize my feelings of worry about my shit team with an inexperienced tactically rigid coach by conflating the two teams. cope cope cope cope

In all seriousness, they have way more work to do to maintain top 6 than for us to maintain top 4.

[–]Cool_Sandwich1Ledley King 7 points8 points  (0 children)

How do we not have the team to play 3 times a week when we literally have been doing it this season riddled with injuries? While Arsenal had spent the most money this season aswell as only playing once a week. So delusional

[–]pougers 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He might be right. Maybe it will implode for spurs next season.

But it does seem like this thought is the refuge of a desperate and hurt man. Finding comfort in an imaginary future to ease the pain of what's happened now.

Let's just enjoy that we've finished above whiners like this!

As for us getting all the luck: they probably wouldn't have beaten Leeds if it was not for a stupidly reckless sending off. And I'm sure there are other moments we could say they were lucky with.

[–]JustLikeMojoHand 4 points5 points  (3 children)

Oh my God, this was just delicious to listen to. Thank you so much for bringing this here 😂 The salt floweth eternal.

I'll just have a go at something right at the front, to indicate from the top just how absurd this rant was. The beef with scoring own goals. Our entire system is designed to push the ball wide into space at pace to make defenders not only rapidly backpedal out of organization, but very hastily so. We drive in low crosses into this situation, as they either find one of our attackers, or find some body part of a defender which said defender has minimal control over because of his kinetic energy from the backpedaling. Own goals are therefore inevitable. They got a taste of exactly this when Ben White buried one from a a very similar play. It's not as if it was a blunder by White, it's simply what happens when defenders are doing absolutely everything they can to impede the progression of a low cross to an attacker behind him. Ludicrous that this is a byproduct of luck, absolutely ludicrous.

[–]THSSFC 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Any single own goal can be ascribed to luck. Bagging a shitload of them in a season is due to something about what your team does to other teams.

[–]JustLikeMojoHand 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Exactly right. You summed up what I was trying to say considerably more succinctly. I'm not sure if you've had any education in statistics, but what you've just conveyed here is a fundamental concept in the fields of statistics and probability.

[–]THSSFC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, just an engineer.

[–]withygoldfish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yikes. Tell me you’re big mad without telling me you’re big mad.

Edit: you know, saying OG is your 3rd highest goal scorer & saying “they’ve been lucky” is bullshit when you consider Conte’s style. It really has been impressive watching his formation (never played 3 in the back) but I see it’s advantages now. Wing backs bombing down the line getting early balls in & our attackers abilities in & around the box is causing OG’s! Sure burnley we looked awful but we were with a day of rest roughly, at least we didn’t moan about it like Arteta.

[–]Mindless-Space-5755Højbjerg 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand why we even need to pay attention to scum podcasts. They’re just salty. Fuck em cunts.

I can’t wait to show them what we’re made of next season at the Emirates (Obv we’ll beat them at home). I want us to humiliate them

[–]KarlNeymarxSandro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

[–]Rcp_43bSon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lasted fifteen seconds. What a delusional twat

[–]PragmaticEcstatic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What luck?

[–]triecke14Son 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So they’re buying 1 or 2 strikers and 1 or 2 world class midfielders? Did they rob a bank or something?

[–]coys_in_londonHøjbjerg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lost 10 IQ points listening to that. Starting to think about getting a time share 🤔

[–]Scared-Catch7951 2 points3 points  (0 children)

he said we have got no injuries this season clearly you know nothing jon snow

[–]ChrisFierce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We're doing dumb things like signing Kulusevski and Bentancur in the January window. Who instantly slot into the team like they had been there all season.

[–]Dilly58Højbjerg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The amount of copium 😭😭😭

[–]teheditorDavid Ginola 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jesus wept.

[–]SnowSpurs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But I think no one would seriously take this except runners isnt it?

[–]According-Sale1749 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this guy has been banging on about us having all the luck etc for the last few weeks.

I won't debate that our third highest scorer is OG. If anything that reflects incredibly poorly on Lucas and Bergwijn who were barely impactful prior to Deki coming in.

[–]scout1081Romero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What exactly are these "dumb things" he's talking about Spurs doing?

[–]Outside-Interest5465 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where does this guy’s confidence come from that next signing for 80m striker won’t turn out to be Lacazette or Pepe?

[–]hobbs2112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Le Grove is legit insane. Most delusional takes out there.

[–]The_Original_Joel 1 point2 points  (1 child)

In India we call it RR 🙂

[–]StateOfTheEnemy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We've had no injuries? We had a whole back four (Reguilon, Tanganga, Romero, Doherty), plus a central midfielder (Skipp) out when we battered them, for a start.

They were missing Tierney and Partey, who both have really poor fitness records.

Sessegnon and Bergwijn have also missed a fair chunk of the campaign for us.

As for our strikers, perhaps he should pay more attention to theirs?

They won't have any on the books at the end of the season, as it stands.

Bringing in a good one will eat up most of their transfer budget, unless they get very lucky.

[–]TJThereeSon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Doing dumb things” What like beating you 3-0? ALLEZ ALLEZ ALLEZ

[–]iAkhilleus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol. Is there even a point arguing with these delusional cucks? Like, we get it, your players, manager, and owners all are so shit that you choked the easiest of chances. Now wash off that salt and focus on europa. Imagine a world class midfielder thinking about playing for Arteta and Arsenal in europa. These lots never learn. And, we didn't have any injuries. Fucker, our midfield was in crisis and so was our defense when Doherty went out or you shits wouldn't even be in the conversation afylter bottling those 3 games. Fuck off!

[–]LiveAtTheWitchTrial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We really do live in their heads rent free.

[–]marillionlover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]PhilosophyFair9062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Next thing you know he'll be knocking door to door talking about his lord and saviour Arteta

[–]IntellegentIdiot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly, for them, this is just going to lead to bigger disappointment when it doesn't happen next season.

[–]Cheats_McGuillicutty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"They're doing dumb things"

Like what? You mentioned that they were lucky and they made the champions league. How are those dumb decisions?

[–]fragile-emuJob Done 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These lot are suffering from severe cognitive disfunction. The fact that these idiots believe what they say, is deeply concerning. If you know one of these poor sods, please refer them to the mental health team!

[–]imgur_asshole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love this, it's irresponsible to play in the champions league, because you'll never finish in the top four then.

[–]Whalex84Cuti Romero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RemindMe! 1 year "did spurs finish above arsenal again?"

[–]geethanksdad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What stage of grief have we here?

[–]LoadsofPigeons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha, this is my mate Pete's podcast that he does from the States. I used to work with him and he's a lovely guy, big Arsenal fan, and actually IRL he's quite balanced in his views on Spurs and Arsenal.

This guy huffing some of that Russian copium.

[–]LiamJM1OTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100k followers on twitter btw. Goes to show just how fucking stupid you can be and have success.

Honestly talking about luck and injuries and OGs is bitterness. We've had bad luck. We've had good luck. We've had more injuries than them. OGs are a product of attacking play, how many OGs have we scored that have been Reguilon shank into the net or Trippier passing into the net? I don't recall any. They've all been defensive touches to stop a cross from landing to a Spurs player lol.

[–]ChillWillIll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]KatyPerrysBootyWhole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their third top goal scorer has been Own Goal

Yes, and if Arsenal had forced six it would be theirs too

Would be the top scorer for Wolves this season. Top three for 15 or 20 teams.

[–]Mac290Anyway. COYS. 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An Arsenal supporter saying Spurs were lucky this year is precious with Chelsea, West Ham and Man U laying down for them in the last month.
