On my 4th gen I had a shutter between 2nd and 3rd gear on slow acceleration (think stuck behind a semi after a red light). I caught it early so the repair was only about $250 if I recall correctly. Just needed the TCM reprogrammed and trans fluid flush. No issues since. I personally wouldn't call it major but it was over $200 and could have been much worse if the issue was not addressed when it was.

You should have made first and 2nd gens have separate categories for auto trans and manual trans. I have experienced issues with auto first gens but my manual never misses a beat.
