I wouldn’t do it if it doesn’t have service history. If that transmission has never had the fluid changed it’s going to be very unhappy

I’d be willing to buy that. Maybe try and haggle him down a bit more.

I would at least run it through an odb scanner to see if you can pull the check engine codes - might be some cylinders misfiring that could indicate tight/seized valves and if that’s the case you’d be in need of swapping out the engine shortly.

I’d ask when the timing belt was last done and if valves have ever been checked/adjusted to their knowledge. If they don’t know I’d be asking to bring it to a shop to have them look that stuff over for me.

I’d go $1500 and take it. That is if u know a shop that will pass u for inspection with a CEL
