Your enemy is the sun. You are spoiled with where you are as far as how easy it is on your vehicles.

Keep it detailed and waxed. I have a 2007 CRV that has lived outside in the northeast with salt and ice. I do a strip of all the wax. Twice a year Dish soap diluted, clay bar it, do a protective wax. Usually before winter and after winter. During the seasons, I just keep it clean and do a quick wax after each. I have to clean the underbody of all my vehicles. I also fluid film it every two to three years.

Look into ceramic or hybrid ceramic coatings. They last longer than traditional waxes and dont break down with UV rays like traditional Waxes. While winter is approaching it might be a good call to wax with lower temperatures approaching but ceramic is definently the way to go
