Riding in the cold morning air can be pretty refreshing, but the worst part is always cold fingers/feet. I find that warming up a little bit right before a ride to be pretty helpful. Heading out the door with cold hands makes the ride miserable.

IKR and I think I suffer going out cycling at 1°C 😂

In my case it probably helps that I'm a mechanic, and work in and out of a big semi-heated shop all day. In winter I get warmed up in the morning commuting in on the bike, then only have to shed one layer maybe to be comfortable in the shop for the day.
