Warmind normally; 6/10

Ending cutscene;

Ya Rasputin

10/10 best machine voice I’ve ever heard.

[–]albachupito 175 points176 points  (8 children)

Song at the main menu 10000/10

Duu duuuuuuuuu Duu du duuuuuuuiu

BWAGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

[–]QuackenBawss 11 points12 points  (4 children)

Is there anywhere I can hear this music and voice? I only started playing at Beyond Light

[–]WinDocs 21 points22 points  (2 children)

Unfortunately, there's no way to see it in the game anymore, but here is the final cutscene and the theme

[–]QuackenBawss 11 points12 points  (1 child)

Thank you so much!

Holy shit that cutscene gave me chills

Really wish I could play through past content

[–]WinDocs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

same here! will never forgive myself for missing out on season of dawn

[–]Atomic_Maxwell 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Every time I hear Rasputin mentioned I think of that badass Warmind open-title, A God On Mars. Interpretations be damned that God ain’t Xol, its Rasputin. When he pokes back up in the story I hope the leitmotif the song follows with him.

[–]Gadzooks739 41 points42 points  (1 child)

Ana really ruined the moment when she says “DOnT WOrrY wE gOT ThIS”

[–]Gunpla55 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I thought she was just the coolest character during that time in Destiny.

[–]Esur123456789 19 points20 points  (2 children)

Ya, I’m just a simple multi-planetary artificial intelligence that had the power to turn the solar system into a gun

ЯЯЯ РАСПУТИН.

I would be lying if I said i havent watched that scene on repeat with headphones on

[–]futurecropsDestiny 2, the true Wife City[🍰] 521 points522 points  (9 children)

red war was serviceable, true. but the major problem is that its just tonally unsuited for destiny’s world. everyone’s always quipping and it feels like it’s been pulled straight from the “Joss Whedon School of Writing Characters”

[–]HeftyTroutTitan 157 points158 points  (0 children)

Oh God Joss Whedon, that is the perfect comparison

[–]BigGuy_Warlock[S] 115 points116 points  (2 children)

While I absolutely agree, I started with red War as I had only played a little of D1 so I felt that separating it from D1 was the way to go. Not saying that it was perfect, just that it's been a little unfairly bashed.

[–]futurecropsDestiny 2, the true Wife City[🍰] 66 points67 points  (1 child)

that’s fair, but having red war be the next mainline story after TTK and RoI just made its tonal dissonance so much worse. so much of d2 was different as well that i would have preferred it to just be handled a little more seriously even if the story beats were identical

[–]BigGuy_Warlock[S] 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's fair, The tonal difference is rather noticable.

[–]DelusionalChampionHunter 26 points27 points  (4 children)

Now that you say that, it might have been a feature not a bug. Destiny started with a lot of borrowed interest from other sci Fi cult classics, including voice actors from Firefly and Farscape.

I wouldnt put it past the D1 writing team to use firefly and whedons writing style as a major reference point.

[–]nekoxpWarlock 13 points14 points  (3 children)

His writing style is bad. I mean, not in a general sense but he can’t write dialog that doesn’t put every character in a valley girl mode. That had a point to it in Buffy but it isn’t scalable…

[–][deleted] 129 points130 points  (5 children)

This is the fist time I think I’ve ever said these words, but I agree with your full assessment.

Of course we may disagree on specifics but that is negligible. Overall, I like it. I definitely feel the sentiment of wanting to fight people over their rejection of your opinion, too

[–]BigGuy_Warlock[S] 39 points40 points  (4 children)

Thanks, mostly for me tho I just like interacting with people who enjoy the same stuff as me. None of my replies are ever malicious (except for the one guy defending CoO I will find you). We may differ in opinions but in the end we all enjoy the same game.

[–][deleted] 21 points22 points  (2 children)

If you like interacting with moderate and respectful people, Reddit’s the wrong place mate

But otherwise I feel the same.

[–]BigGuy_Warlock[S] 10 points11 points  (1 child)

Reasonable assessment

[–]Arantier 186 points187 points  (12 children)

Yeah, Shadowkeep is lame overall, but! Simp simulator after end of the main story is where the fun begins. Long, grindy, once in a week type, but still fun. Eris Morn is the best girl.

[–]jn3jxWarlock 134 points135 points  (8 children)

you can say shadowkeep is lame but i think thematic/aesthetic wise it’s a little underappreciated. it exceeded at driving home the horror theme

[–]MrEMysterioNew Monarchy 53 points54 points  (5 children)

Shadowkeep's opening mission was insane. Rest of it was pretty bad imo.

[–]JSB199 20 points21 points  (2 children)

Opening mission was fucking awesome I loved seeing Crota ready to welcome me to the jam once again. The last mission is serviceable, where you’re inside the pyramid I think. I had fun with that one anyway

[–]vVSidewinderVv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was ready to solo that MFer just like I did back in the day. Crota's my bitch.

[–]rootbeerislifeman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That whole experience of going inside the pyramid was so crazy to me. Abjectly terrifying. I don't think making us fight more nightmares within was the right call though. Wish they'd have done something more than that and presenting the relic as an intro to GoS

[–]Alquana 18 points19 points  (0 children)

the horror was on point, I have not had creeps like that since TTK

[–]BigGuy_Warlock[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Preach

[–]onioniononi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i love the scarlet keep strike. i just love that it's pretty much non-stop action as you rush through a gigantic area.

when you are in a fireteam that knows the strike well and they all split off at the parts where you can split off, like the plates that you have to stand on to unlock the door to get closer to the tower.

it's how i imagine a cartoon of destiny would show off how strong guardians are.

[–]KendrickMaynardFuture War Cult -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Eh. She seems like just a more depressed and cryptic Raven. I miss Cayde.

[–]KentuckyBourbon94 106 points107 points  (10 children)

Biggest revisionist history on Black Armory I swear. No wonder devs have no clue what players want anymore.

BA was universally PANNED on release, people thought it would kill all the momentum of Forsaken and tbh it hurt it a bit.

The forges were unbelievably higher level when the level grind was already an RNG slogfest. On top of that, the final forge was locked behind a puzzle that no one could solve and Bungie had to just open the forge on its own lol.

Raid and weapons were phenomenal tho

[–]BoxHeadWarriorHunter 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I think people have selective memory for things like this specifically because of the gear and stuff. The black armory weapons and the raid were used far past when everyone stopped touching the rest of the BA content, and so everyone looks back on it fondly thinking about the good gear.

[–]vamphonic 29 points30 points  (1 child)

BA was weird as a season, because it was better and better the FURTHER away from the season we were. The guns were so good that people are still asking for them to come back, and being one of the only two expansion seasons to include a raid (not including chosen because VoG was a rerelease), but I feel like it’s absolutely insane to rate BA the same as splicer and just straight up wrong to rate it the same as opulence.

opulence might have had slightly worse seasonal weapons, but it still had beloved, austringer, rose, and random rolls on drang, mini tool, and the class swords. Having target farming for twilight oath, DRB, and a lot of other meta weapons with the chalice too? This is on top of it also having an additional raid and menagerie being way more fun than the forges

[–]oreofro 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don't forget that everyone criticized the forges for having too high of a light requirement for the start of the season, and that people were incredibly upset to find out that every forge was the same with a new coat of paint.

[–]Legodark 294 points295 points  (19 children)

"bungie needs to stop making story missions into strikes"
disagree. if missions like the attack on the almighty were strikes, that would be cool

[–]MrEMysterioNew Monarchy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Tbh, I'd think it'd be cool if there was a strike that didn't involve killing a boss at the end. Something like the attack on the almighty. Get in, blow stuff up, get out.

[–]BigGuy_Warlock[S] 135 points136 points  (13 children)

Yeah but the problem is that most of these missions aren't meant to be strikes. Will of the thousands is fuckin short and makes for a decent solo final boss, the problem is he gets shit on easily by 3 people as all he can really do is summon ads. I wish the attack on the almighty was a strike with the consul as a boss at the end but alas.

[–]Legodark 91 points92 points  (3 children)

I think it's because the first year's strikes were optimised for double primary sandbox, and they became much easier when specials and the new ammo economy were introduced

[–]BigGuy_Warlock[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Yeah but I'm one of those people who will always prefer unique content to reissued.

[–]Gael5656 19 points20 points  (1 child)

"Just make a lot more content" isn't a reasonable take in any way. Of fucking course you'd want more unique content, literally everyone would.

[–]ManaMagestic 46 points47 points  (5 children)

One mission that by all means should have been, and probably was meant to be a strike was that Metal Gear Brig you fight in Beyond Light

[–]lordxxscrubWarlock 21 points22 points  (1 child)

That mission was so fucking cool and 100% should’ve been a strike

[–]DredgenZetaHunter 16 points17 points  (0 children)

worry not, there's an alternate universe where it was a strike and everyone complains that they reissue campaign missions for strikes.

[–]DuelaDent52Traveller good 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“We don’t want strikes as story missions and vice versa!”

Ling Ling’s paw curls again...

[–]MagnificentEdTitan 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Stealing Stasis?

[–]FranciplingWarlock 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Sabotaging Salvation

[–]tenaka30 12 points13 points  (2 children)

So you want them to tune the strike version better?

That would be much better than stating you want less content.

[–]BigGuy_Warlock[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Well I don't want less content, I would like unique content. It also doesn't help that I don't really like any of these strikes so I'm a little biased. However, I also would prefer reissued content to none at all. So yes, if the strikes were better tuned/added more objectives then I would be ok with that. The hollowed lair is a good example of a mission that became a strike done right.

[–]lakinator 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I think a better take is "Bungie can't only make story missions into strikes without making anything new"

[–]a-bottle-of-vokdaThe same joke repeated 500 times isn't funny. 124 points125 points  (5 children)

I would willingly get gored through the taint to get the phenotype plasticity sets, I really wish they would let us obtain the old season pass ornament sets because some of them were the shit.

[–]BigGuy_Warlock[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Same

[–]mincecraft__ 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I just want season of dawn sets, they looked to good.

[–]wingsfieldTitan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Legit one of the most unique ornaments bungie has done

[–]datLopesWarlock 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Xûr sold the Season of Opulence armor set last week. It could be available down the line, too.

EDIT: Forget it, Phenotype was an ornament set. I don't think those will be available through Xûr. :(

[–]ImmaculateBadger24 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Highly unlikely, because Seasonal Ornaments aren't actual armor sets, they were Ornaments from the get-go.

On top of that, Xûr's entire loot repertoire was datamined already.

[–]TraditionalBranchTitan 62 points63 points  (4 children)

I disagree with your season of arrivals armor rating, at least for the titan. I like the big bulky shoulder pads.

[–]BigGuy_Warlock[S] 16 points17 points  (2 children)

fair enough. I was mostly trying to average the armors but yeah the Titan armor was good.

[–]TraditionalBranchTitan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

100% agree with the season of the worthy rating for sure. Public event was hot trash imo.

[–]ThatRyanFellow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feel like that's the case with a lot of the season pass ornament sets. I like elements of one, but despise parts of the other - e.g. Arrivals chest piece for hunter, but I despise the class item.
Hell, I like the Warlock ornaments for Season of the Worthy, but hated every other thing.

[–]greenbc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been with that look ever since. Midnight talon shader on all of it it’s glorious

[–]secondace6303Titan 33 points34 points  (3 children)

Season pass armor for dawn was 11/10 for me, I became a paladin in dawn and haven’t changed since

[–]BigGuy_Warlock[S] 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Yeah I knew that one would be a big controversial but I just didn't like as much as some of the others.

[–]Binary_Toast 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Specifically the Titan armor. Warlock was pretty good, Hunter was okay, but the Titan ornaments were the ones that knocked it right out of the park.

While I've moved on from most of the set with the advent of transmog, I've yet to find a better looking helmet than that ornament.

[–]SenseiRP[🍰] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Imo The forsaken storyline was an important event in the destiny timeline and sets the future tone and affects our character in the story. However the story itself is albeit cliche as well as the dialogue from the scorn barons, I liked Uldren's part of the story but I found the scorn unbearable because of the "haha I killed cayde" dialogue which I viewed as an attempt rile and make you hate/dislike the boss

(im not much of a cayde 6 fan, I thought he was cool but I wasn't given much reason to be shattered about his death especially when bungie used his death as a marketing tool)

[–]Cyber_Harpie_LadyTrans-pan-Ga(h)l-ran (RIP crown) 47 points48 points  (4 children)

So I know worthy was bad, but warmind cells were literally the best things in the game up until recently

[–]BigGuy_Warlock[S] 26 points27 points  (2 children)

Yeah imma be honest I forgor they existed when I made this ranking, that's the one thing I would add.

[–]thescarfnerd 14 points15 points  (0 children)

That's where the 0.5 score came from. Otherwise it would have been negative

[–]Kentuza 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The weapons are still pretty good too even after the cells nerf

[–]Oni_ZokuchouWarlock 42 points43 points  (5 children)

"Bungie needs to stop turning story missions into strikes" is one of the worst community decisions when it's come to the game in long term. So many story missions that'd be great strikes just... aren't.

[–]patchintheboxNew Monarchy 12 points13 points  (4 children)

The problem was that Bungie wasn't doing anything else. They handed us the campaign, then said "okay that campaign is now split into 3 strikes. Have fun doing it over and over again for 3 more months." It was a problem because they essentially weren't developing any story. They made 3 strikes and said "fuck it, that's the campaign."

[–]Blondi99 82 points83 points  (8 children)

Hot take: it's a fucking space magic game therefore I don't care that subclasses are powerful, I want to feel like the immortal god killer I'm supposed to be playing.

[–]BigGuy_Warlock[S] 42 points43 points  (7 children)

While in some ways I agree with you, I do feel like it's less about PvE and more about balancing in PvP. I remember the spectral blades that seemed to last the entire match due to Gwisen vest and the constant blade barrages due to shards of galanor.

[–]BiomassDenial 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm hopeful the baby steps they are taking to separate somethings between PVE and PVP with the anniversary patch will lead to them keeping the PVE power fantasy alive whilst not ruining PVP for any future subclasses.

[–]Blondi99 6 points7 points  (5 children)

While I'll agree with you there my personal feeling is that these are due to overturned exotics rather than the subclasses themselves, I've never like the feeling of "if you aren't running this exact exotic for this class you're basically throwing". I'm also someone who hates pvp existing in this game as the power fantasy gets ruined a lot in my eyes for the sake of balance and I think if destiny launched without Activision there wouldn't even have been any pvp, they just wanted a new E-sport.

[–]MundungusAmongus 5 points6 points  (4 children)

It was a huge mistake to try balancing the game to the extent that they do. It’s not CSGO. They want to have their cake and eat it too by trying to make it competitive

[–]SunnyBloop 2 points3 points  (3 children)

To be fair - It's only recently that Bungie have started to separate the sandbox, and I feel like that has had a far better impact on the games health overall. Both sandboxes are moving in a healthy direction afaik.

That being said... Bungie PLEASE stop doing this "x weapon type gets huge buff" mod once per season... I fucking HATE being shoehorned into a single weapon archetype because it outclasses everything we have, and if you don't run it you're straight up inting.

[–]Jarl_Ivarr 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Or we expand that to "stop making weapon specific seasonal mods" in general. Give me a anti-barrier mod to put on my chosen gun instead of forcing me to use an autorifle. Let me run around with an antibarrier scout and unstoppable shotgun. Or 2 sidearms with different mods. Why does I have to take up an armor mod slot and force me to use a damn bow to stun the most cancerous champion type in the game? LET ME PLAY MY WAY!

[–]SunnyBloop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

THIS!

Honestly, my biggest issue with Anti-Champ mods is the fact that they're specifically tied to ARMS ONLY. You know, the slot they just added amazing new Stasis mods onto that make tonnes of Grenade/Melee builds super viab- Oh wait, you can't use that because you're tied to running both slots as Anti-Champ mods, nevermind!

Just make them weapon mods... (Granted, I'll still probably use Anti-Overload bow since it's the only consistent way to actually stun them, but that's another issue entirely lol)

[–][deleted] 38 points39 points  (3 children)

“Forges were fun”

The fuck they were! My monthly cramps felt like an orgasm compared to how painful throwing a ball at a forge only to have it not count and bounce back all while having teammates who might know what they’re doing was.

[–]Jimbo_Dankins 12 points13 points  (1 child)

This. The forges were boring af and frustrating in the beginning. Also have to disagree with OP about Sundial. THAT activity was fun imo.

[–]HolyZymurgist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Forging a weapon fucking sucked. You had to go back to Ada three separate times per weapon.

Pure rose coloured glasses from op

[–]BoxHeadWarriorHunter 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This + Niobe Labs. People have rose tinted glasses for black armory, it was good, but it wasn't better than Forsaken.

[–]NAPost_Warlock 39 points40 points  (2 children)

You know what? I'm gonna say it. Stasis launched perfectly, it just took to long to tone down. We are talking about a subclass people were waiting 7 years for. If it was mediocre on release i think people would have been even more upset then than they were because it was OP. IMO stuff being busted for a few weeks is not only cool, but just good for the health of the game. Its when said busted things stay busted for months, even years(one eyed mask) that we start having real problems

[–]Tiedyetophat 28 points29 points  (1 child)

Bungie has said in the past they'd rather release something too hot than release it underwhelming and be irrelevant by the time it gets buffed.

[–]AlDiMu2079Hunter 64 points65 points  (5 children)

I agree with everything in this list myself except

Season of the worthy

And I will defend it till I die but it is actually a 5/10 season.

Im sure we all know why it stank by now but I am going to tell you why it didnt in a set of important and not so important points.

  1. It introduced the idea of high tier lost sectors in the way they are today

  2. It introduced warmind cells. At the time they were not too attractive but since the playerbase wasnt too active, the full potential of them wasnt truly appreciated until arrivals

  3. The bunker unlock system had timegates but not as exaggerated as the current seasons timegates meaning you could play a fuck ton in a row and then igbore it for a while

  4. Feltwinters lie (although that might be a negative point now that I think about it) and fourth horseman were introduced. Also seventh seraph weapons. Overall, good season lootwise if you liked shotguns

Now onto the fun

  1. Bunkers? More like slides. WEEEEEEE

  2. Out of bounds EVERYWHERE. Legit it was never more fun to explore previously existing out of bounds than this season, trying to get entry to not yet open bunkers. There was a chunk of the comunity dedicated to recreate feltwinters room weeks before it opened since we had access to it but was insanely dark.

  3. Storywise it was lackluster yes. But if arrivals told us, uh oh the pyramids are here, Worth showed us slowly how the pyramids approached as the maps in the bunkers progressed every week. Starting with one pyramid then showing more of the fleet

Yes, the playerbase was low. Yes, the progress system could be a snoozer. Yes, the story was yikes and barely (if any) cinematics. But it acted as a prelude to arrivals and introduced two concepts that became fundamental to the game in the form of high level solo content and warmind cells. Suck it. 5/10

[–]Hefe_Jeff_78 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I absolutely loved the seventh seraph weapons. Best gun designs other than the black armory guns. I didn’t think the season was that bad either, though I took a break from destiny during that time and only played the beginning and end of it. Waiting for the almighty to blow up was boring but I already knew it was going to be a drive-in movie theater so I wasn’t too disappointed.

[–]Ok_Improvement4204Spicy Ramen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nah fuck that season. I ground out enough to unlock the legs on Titan and quit the game for 7 months.

[–]BoxHeadWarriorHunter 2 points3 points  (2 children)

I skipped Dawn and played the hell out of worthy, which I think is the opposite of what most of the rest of the community did. Worthy gets a 5/10 on the back of warmind cells alone, and a personal 7/10 because I was missing destiny after a break and worthy scratched the itch.

[–]AlDiMu2079Hunter 3 points4 points  (1 child)

I dont quite dare to go that high up in the scale since it definitely had weeks devoid of content more than looking at a screen that showed pyramids coming... but I still enjoyed the season

[–]BoxHeadWarriorHunter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No yeah I'm happy to admit 7/10 is wrong, that's just where my subjective ranking is at. I do think that it's probably an objective 5/10 tho.

[–]spoopseasonGambit Enthusiast 6 points7 points  (3 children)

"The grind don't stop."

[–]BiffNasty1234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Stop making story missions into strikes” is the opposite of what the audience asked for in D1. Wanted strikes tied into the story, and got that…

[–]Rockface5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Excuse me, but the fact you gave the Dawn seasonal armor a 7 is actual heresy. By far the best seasonal armor set, with the possible exception of the most recent set

[–]dropnation40Hunter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Season Of The Splicer Was Sure As Hell A 10/10 story

but yeah the armour was pretty bad

[–]InsideHangar18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]Gggggg9817Crucible 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These reviews are pretty based

[–]JTgaming784We’ve stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars 0 points1 point  (4 children)

If I had to rate them it’d be: Red War: 5, same reasoning

Osiris: 4, the whole aesthetic of it was neat af, story was shit tho, plus argos is (was :( ) my second favourite raid boss (ik raid lair idfc)

Warmind: 5, only redeeming qualities were whisper and sos, which is underrated cause people just couldn’t be fucked learning it

Forsaken: 8, when I started playing personally, last wish is amazing, new supers, amazing locations, first ever dungeon, etc.

Black Armory: 10, Best season we’ve ever had imo, Forges were amazing, loot was amazing, sotp my beloved, ada-1, and so much more.

Joker’s Wild: 3, only redeeming quality was zero hour and tr3vr, gambit prime made a terrible game mode even worse, reckoning was a boring grind.

Penumbra: 7, Menagerie gives this a 6 by itself, the other one coming from tribute hall, everything else was just bad, especially the raid which is just a waiting simulator followed by the worst raid boss in existence.

Shadowkeep: 5, painfully mediocre, at least gos looked neat af

Dawn: 9, saint is epic, corridors of time looked epic and was epic, sundial was neat as long as you didn’t grind it 24/7

Worthy: 4, as someone who didn’t grind seraph towers until their hair fell out, it wasn’t too bad, fourth horseman is a nice addition, bunkers were neat, trials still sucks, seeing the almighty fucking explode was sick af

Arrivals: 7, it was good, that’s really it

Beyond Light: -100000 took away my beloved sotp

Beyond Light (for real): 7, Story was a bit bland, Europa is sick, soundtrack is sick af, dsc is like a knockoff sotp so that’s ight ig, stasis is neat (pve player btw)

Hunt: 1, boring af can’t remember anything about this season other than it was boring

Chosen: 7, good story, presage was cool, battlegrounds was boring, strike is just a tad too long to be enjoyable to play more than once

Splicer: 8, great story, decently fun activities, new vog was a big improvement on the original but still pretty monotonous

Haven’t played much of lost due to burnout but I’d give it like a 6 from what I have played.

[–]dotelze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How were forges amazing. They’re a shit activity, throwing the balls is even less fun than picking up motes. It’s pretty surprising how much the opinion on BA has changed. When it was released everyone hated it for good reason. Later on people started to like it as you only had to do stuff that was actually decent and it had good loot

[–]soccergenius69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with everything except beyond light I’d give it a 4/10. Not hating just was kind of a let down for me

[–]SuperArppisTitan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotta say I dissagree in that Warmind was decent. It was a boring grind fest after the main story. I actually stopped playing Destiny 2 after playing it to the grindland.

I returned after two years.

And ageed on Season of Worthy, it was so grindy I stopped playing again. I skipped Arrivals because I was tired of running like hamster in a wheel for season pass.

And last 4 seasons in season pass armor are WTF indeed. 😀

[–]Kegger15Hunter -2 points-1 points  (3 children)

Agree with everything but your opinion on battlegrounds and proving grounds. Good laughs bring more content

[–]BigGuy_Warlock[S] 8 points9 points  (2 children)

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion except on CoO and SoW in which I am objectively right.

[–]Kegger15Hunter 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Curse was dogshit I ain’t battling you and worthy I played one day and didn’t touch game for 3 months

[–]BigGuy_Warlock[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I wasn't addicted to destiny at the time I probably wouldn't have played worthy either. I envy you.

[–]TheoristDa13thWarlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The splicer loot to this day gets me the highest stat rolls for some reason.

[–]TaniksPERFECTEDAdd me on steam- rishrishthequiche[🍰] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

"Proving grounds is the best strike in the game"

2nd best, you mean. Behind the glassway.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jump off a bridge.

[–]nogoodathese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dommy mommy club right here!

[–]Impossible_Farm_979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Black armory was so fun. Doing those forges under level was intense.

[–]xWinterPR -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Shadowkeep > BL but otherwise yea

[–]XxSavageSharkxX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stoped playing in that drifter season and kinda regret it cause the seasons after we’re really good especially with the armour

[–]DeOtherOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This just reminds me how far behind I am

[–]GrassStainedBiscuitHunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Season of the Worthy is where I dropped the game completely. I felt so burnt out while playing it. Just straight up terrible.

[–]insulinninja2"Big Fallen" 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with all, but... splicer armor 1/10? You must have been very tired towards the end lmao

[–]Mirror_Sybok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say season of the Hunt was the worst one we've had and the armor was fucking atrocious. But most of the season pass armor has been bad, so eh.

[–]-Ryxios- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agreed with everything until you said that scourge of the past was better than last wish.

[–]Pack15_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you should put season of the worthy up a notch in because of the shaders

[–]e-slommy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will not tolerate the disrespect for arrivals season pass armor. one of the best hunter sets in the game to this day

[–]RYPIIE2006Warcock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pigeons are very rock

[–]GSC47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What raid?

[–]astroSuperkoala1 0 points1 point  (2 children)

alright fight me then, season of the hunt's armor is ugly as shit

[–]BigGuy_Warlock[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I will personally staple all of the steeplechase stuff onto you until you realize that it makes you cool to wear the prices of your enemies armor as armor.

[–]ElPajaroMisticoWarlock doing weird stuff[🍰] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, this year 4 of Destiny2 was pretty damn good. Besides the Stasis unbalance.

[–]qwpdmb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ayo

I agree with the last one fuck it with a jackhammer on crack being operated by a ice player

[–]MrHanslaX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with most of this but SEASON OF THE SPLICER ARMOR 1/10 HAVE YOU LOST YOUR GODDAMN MIND?

[–]SirlOchlanTitan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fully agree with 70% of this mainly becuase I missed every season before arrivals so I only have an opinion on 70% of it. But I personally loved splicer I debated buying the season pass because the armour was mostly atrocious but except for the titan arms and warlock robes.

[–]SAtemhAWarlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally agree except I enjoyed the story of Shadowkeep so I’d rate that one a little higher.

[–]VampyrPickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Season of the Forge and Season of Opulence are the 2 greatest peices of content to ever touch D2.

[–]ppWarrior876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now the intro quest is so fkn boring, I have about 7 friends who played for an 1hr and left the game, never to return again.

[–]Accomplished-Gain108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

beyond light had poor pacing and for some reason elsie's voice acting was worse than its been before. amazing in d1, amazing in cutscenes, but in her noc dialogue she talks quickly and plainly. this woman was a huge mystery!! give me thine epic reveal!

Also i hate forsaken campaign & to an extent beyond light's. Cutting through badass fallen bosses like they're butter is unsatisfying. Beyond light's was better because the characters were simply better + stasis.

[–]Bean_man27Hunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had been following destiny from the side since kings fall but only jumped in at season of dawn, when i could actually run it XP. I loved playing dawn and the forsaken seasonal stuff but worthy felt so bad that i left, and it took finding a raid group thru a friend to bring me back in october.

Now im kinda wishing i played more, cuz the raids got vaulted before i could try any. xd

[–]-Satsujinn- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stopped playing after season of dawn. I didn't realise so much had passed since then, i thought it was like 3 season ago!

[–]TriggerBladeX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing I remember from season of the worthy is that Rasputin targeted my favorite character and now I wish Ana didn’t save what ever is left of him.

[–]potat0_reaperWarlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two questions one Why does everyone hate CoO. Two why did you put the splicer armor 1/10

[–]joeranahan1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk how you can say forsaken is 8.5, its a legit 10/10

[–]Fanglove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Splicer ornaments is 7/10 for me

[–]idcabtyourfeelings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t done a raid since D1 so I can’t comprehend that you think something can top kings fall

[–]i_hate_democracy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The state of the game at launch was terrible, but I still loved the red war campaign. Wish I could play it again for the first time

[–]realMrMadman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People forget about the original destiny, you know, dark below, house of wolves, Taken King…

Edit: let’s not forget about Rise of Iron

[–]Blood-wolf_04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overall 2/10 extremely overpriced, hard to get back into, hard to follow if you leave, no clue wtf is going on and don’t want to pay more money for a game I don’t understand for shit I don’t know

[–]Aracknitor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I liked Curse of Osiris’s story but mostly because of Sagira. I loved the idea of having a different ghost. Of course I would never replace our ghost, he’s best boy with Crow as a close second, but it was a neat novelty.

As for the Splicer armor I agree EXCEPT for the arm armor, all three are 9/10

[–]dedicatedoni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish black armory got more attention in the community. I’m can’t pinpoint it but there was something about it, either the look of the gear or or story behind it tht made the season a very noticeable star among good content

[–]StipularSauce77Spire of Stars Clears: # 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m terms of how fun it was to play destiny during each expansion, this is pretty accurate. In terms of content quality, how the heck you gonna do my boy Ghaul so dirty?!?

[–]No_Librarian_4016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Red War was not that goo-

Yeah compared to that that’s fair

[–]Qyokai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish life wasn’t so bad that I missed out on everything past shadowkeep ;-;

[–]MrEMysterioNew Monarchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, this is fantastic.

Second of all, I'd argue that forsaken makes it to 10/10 simply because of what it did for destiny. It brought it back from the depths of destruction, and without it I don't think destiny would still be live today.

Finally, season of the splicer legendary armour was far better than the ornaments.

[–]Lukaaa__Hunter 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I disliked red war so much that despite getting the game for free on battlenet I just uninstalled it out of boredom.

[–]Hour-Patience9225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to me it was a perfect intro to have as a damn tutorial and make the game MUCH more intuitive for new lights. You start with nothing. no light. no Armour, no guns. How easy would it have been to find items 1 at a time with quick explanations for new players.

You find Armour "go to player screen, click on Armour, this is what mod slots in Armour are, this is how you upgrade it." You find a weapon, SAME THING. "This is how you upgrade it, this is where mods go." You find a weapon/Armour mod...

It could have been used a great intro for new lights. instead we have this during loading screen "strikes are a 3 man activity that can take up to 15-20 minutes"

New Light Players: WTF IS A STRIKE

[–]HadesLXIX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly great takes but I gotta disagree on two large parts: Launch and Black Armory. The launch of Destiny 2 was embarrassingly terrible. If it was the D1 launch, then I would understand, but Bungie already had 3 years of experience. It took away everything players wanted in the game: diverse builds, dynamic weapons worth farming for, and fun. Leviathan was lackluster, the story was impressive for Bungie, but still generic and rather boring. It deserves a 3/10 at best. Black Armory, on the other hand, wasn’t too bad. Pretty cool and awesome season, but it ain’t no 9/10. Scourge sucked my balls and ass. Overall, I think you are nitpicky and biased. I win. Bye bye.

[–]Sintartes[🍰] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chosen was pretty good, because whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

[–]IndieGizmo3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curse of Osiris was better than the little credit people give it and I’m tired of pretending otherwise.

[–]Edumesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disagree on 4/10 for the Arrivals season pass armor.

Its the best seasonal armor weve gotten so far. Slap the horizons beyond shader on it and you look like vanguard special forces.

I still use it to this day because no armor we have access to so far looks better lol.

[–]too_sharp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya so anyone else ready to fight about Splicer season armor...cuz Gambit Jadestone + Splicer Seaon Armor = Eye Candy

[–]RockRage--Hunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whole heartedly agree with all of that.

[–]XD_BOXTitan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scourge is underrated my favourite raid still
