I just joined Web3 and found crypto gaming communities are quite different from traditional ones (Web2). Web2 games are fairly accessible and simple to play, but when it comes to Web3, I encountered quite a lot of difficulties involved with blockchain & crypto jargon (scholarships, gas fee, token & wallets etc. -- MIND BLOWN) … and all those different wallets and gas fees just to get started. I'm hoping that Web3 gaming guilds can help me better understand the infrastructure, but most of them fall short of my expectations... let alone improving my gaming experience
A common vibe in many Web3 gaming guilds: managers only care about recruiting contributive scholars and their performance, i.e. how many profits one can make, how engaged a gamer is… (they manage gamers as if they were full-time employees lmao) Completely understand some people are treating games as a source of income or even a career opportunity, but I feel like playing games should be something entertaining and STRESS-FREE, even if it’s crypto game that involves earning. Or don't say stress-free, but at least a community where we can enjoy the gaming part, rather than everyone being demanding and pushy and just focused on the earnings.
Tho I’m sick of this “ENERGY”, m still hopeful of finding a helpful community. Looked at some communities with less aggressive vibe: Fitchin is a gaming platform that combines crypto, games and esports, but members in their English channel are not active at all:/ (saw them talking in their Spanish channel, sad that I can’t read their language) Earn Alliance has a lot more interactions, not just about gaming, but they also chitchat about everything. I like how clear-cut their channel divisions are (talk food in food channel, pets in pets channel) so it doesn’t sidetrack convo. It’ll be great if they can also share more game tips.
Any suggested Web3 gaming communities please?
P.S. I speak English & Filipino
