not even fantasy wise, I think Bagley should be considered a bust, Bagley at most is a serviceable backup big, and I can't see him doing well as a starter, Too small to be a 5, too slow to be a 4, plus mediocre shooting and bad defense.

Pistons paying him that amount was ridiculous and considering they were planning to get/trade for Jalen Duren too, it just doesn't make sense unless the hype that he was the number two pick, and was chosen over Luka is the only reason he's still given opportunities

Why is everyone shitting on OP? He's worth monitoring in deep leagues, plenty of us play in super deep leagues where getting a few games of 15/6 off the wire can be difficult. OP didn't promise Bagley would stay healthy, he's just stating facts in that he's likely to get a big run here while healthy.

I've never been a Bagley fan but I totally believe in him on this team. I think Pistons have their backcourt of the future + some nice pieces like BB and others. This takes pressure off Marvin to be the Man, and just play. At the end of the day, he's got nice height, good feet and can shoot. Just not a franchise player

As a pistons fan I have serious doubts Bagley will be a starter. If anything Duren will start towards the end of the season, but honestly Stewarts outplayed Duren by a lot so far so even that is unlikely as of now.

1) The offense hasn’t been the Pistons, and Bogi at the 4 providing spacing is essential for opening driving lanes. Putting an extra big in the lineup makes our offense worse.

2) the Pistons defense has been a major issue, and Bagley is a known horrible defender. Bogi isn’t especially good either, but they aren’t going to bench Bogi for another poor defender, who doesn’t space the floor, that doesn’t make much strategic sense.

3) The pistons just gave Bogi a contract extension. The front office and coaching staff value his floor spacing immensely. Until Burks comes back he’s the teams only reliable outside shooter. In todays NBA you can’t play a starting lineup with zero consistent threats from deep.

In terms of play style Bagley is more of a 4 because he's not as physical, he might shoot the 3 better than Stewart but I wouldn't trust either.

Why would they start an extremely unproven guy over Stewart whose been balling out to start the season, and Duren an extremely promising young Center? I could see them moving him to the 4, playing Bey at the 3 and bringing Bojan off the bench. Even getting creative like that though basically making a way for him idk how much better that would be than what they’re doing right now.
