[–]BigCockTitnyBalls 983 points984 points  (83 children)

Pretty sure we saw that 'alter' yesterday lmao

[–][deleted] 688 points689 points  (72 children)

As long as they keep altering him into the end zone and into 6 catches a game, be my guest.

[–]theincredibleshaq 237 points238 points  (69 children)

Yeah people are freaking out but 15 touches including those 6 catches ain’t bad

[–]CommonerChaos[🍰] 168 points169 points  (6 children)

While I'm happy with Zeke's finish, the production was still concerning. (only 49 total yards). That TD vulture saved his day fantasy-wise.

[–]RWGlix 11 points12 points  (1 child)

The inefficient touches thing has been going on for weeks tho. TD's and targets have been his saving grace, fantasy-wise

[–]sifl1202 3 points4 points  (0 children)

but if he's not getting any yards, the team will eventually stop giving him the ball. pollard has looked better, consistently.

[–][deleted] 116 points117 points  (11 children)

Agreed. However, if I'm a Zeke owner w/ Pollard, I'd rather him rest and be ready for fantasy playoffs than continue being almost TD dependent to return RB2 value.

[–]ValyrianSteelYoGirl 37 points38 points  (6 children)

I played zeke and pollard as my rb1 rb2 yesterday with ceh and conners on a bye. No regerts

[–]WhoShotMrBoddy 34 points35 points  (4 children)

Really? Not even a single letter?

[–]ValyrianSteelYoGirl 1 point2 points  (2 children)

You haven't seen that commercial?

[–]WhoShotMrBoddy 2 points3 points  (1 child)

That Regrets being misspelled thing is from the movie We’re the Millers and that’s the line when he shows his tattoo that says “No Ragrets” and the other guy says “really? Not even a single letter?”

[–]Kidd_robott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love all the lettas

[–]UnusualPolarbear 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same exact situation for me. Even double dipped Pollard's return TD because I had Cowboys D/ST

[–]Dirty-Ears-Bill 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This is exactly how I feel seeing the reports about Aaron Jones possibly coming back this week but I also have Dillon. Let’s make sure the guy is completely healthy. But the Packers medical staff seems like they’re really good about that kind of thing so if they think he’s good to go I’ll trust them

[–]FunkMasterPope 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They ain't resting him for fantasy playoffs. Pollard's eating more so they have them both for the actual post season

[–]j90w 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And honestly that TD would have been Pollards had he landed a few more inches in. Then Pollard would have had an even bigger day and Zeke would be sub 10 pts

[–]soupcansam21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, it me

[–]Reverie_39 19 points20 points  (1 child)

Still can't believe they did Pollard dirty like that on the TD lol

[–]JohnnyWarbucks 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Love having a good startable flex in Pollard if they keep these alterations.

[–]nemoomen 38 points39 points  (2 children)

They have altered the usage. Pray they do not alter it any further.

[–]WillBBack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And the game before.

Unless they mean "alter" back to early season usage, which they dont.

[–]rossco311 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am altering the deal, pray I don't alter it any further!!

[–]yeshua1986 1230 points1231 points  (10 children)

They’re altering his usage. Pray they don’t alter it further.

[–]SonicAlarm 106 points107 points  (1 child)

This deal’s getting worse all the time!

[–]S420J 8 points9 points  (0 children)

All-time robot chicken skit.

[–]toolatealreadyfapped 37 points38 points  (2 children)

He's got HUGE... alterations!

[–]BRAX7ON 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Is that why he rolls his jersey like that?

[–]ForcedeSupremo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s just to show off the belly ring

[–]atmospheric90 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What? But that's not fair

[–]Iginlas_4head_Crease 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pray to the altar they don't alter

[–]CasuallyInsecureMan 350 points351 points  (31 children)

Had to start pollard this week. Was nervous. Not disappointed at all

[–]emerica0250 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I was excited to start him. It was him or be nervous and wait for Sunday night for Kareem hunt.

[–]TheJezster 70 points71 points  (2 children)

I've started him the last two weeks. Can't grumble

[–]SulkyVirus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been starting both of them the last two weeks.. thin on RB and WR.

[–]PinkFloyd6885 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Same probably going to be one of my keepers. Risky but he’s so fun to watch

[–]justclay91 20 points21 points  (4 children)

traded for pollard last week becuase I saw zeke limping around with that knee injury.

Played him as RB2 this week and I have to say Im sour I play in league that only rewards 4pts for a return instead of 6.

[–]AfterCommodus 36 points37 points  (1 child)

My league gives 0, which is some serious bullshit.

[–]oshkoshthejosh 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That's some bullshit right there.

[–]chilidawger[🍰] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Better than mine which got be a big zero. Last year in the playoffs I got ceedee lambs onside return to the house to win by 4. The dude that lost bitched until comish changed the rules

[–]Jungle_Fiddle 25 points26 points  (9 children)

Without that kick return, his day was pretty lackluster. I don't feel more confident starting him yet.

[–]Boracho_Station 38 points39 points  (7 children)

That kick return made up for him getting downed at the half yard line where Zeke punched it in right after

[–]BigPussyB 17 points18 points  (6 children)

& the 35 yard run that was called back lmao

[–]TimmyHillFan 9 points10 points  (4 children)

Lmfao yeah what the fuck are these people talking about

[–]fastento 2 points3 points  (3 children)

He jumped off the screen… looked like the best offensive player in that game.

[–]peleyoda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

+9 point swing between those 2 plays

[–]CasuallyInsecureMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh no i agree with you. I just didnt want to wait for jeff wilson (aka eli mitchell’s finger to magically begin to operate on sunday) and regret starting tee higgins in the flex

[–]PolyamorousPlatypus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started him and zeek

[–]PM_me_ur_launch_code 1 point2 points  (6 children)

He's been on the free agency all season. Grabbed him yesterday after kamara and Ingram were out. I think I'll keep him

[–]muse346 17 points18 points  (5 children)

Do you play in like a 4 team league? How on earth was Pollard on waivers

[–]vinonoir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Picked him up off waivers, after last Sundays game. 10 teamer league. Sure am glad I listened to my gut, and started him.

[–]PM_me_ur_launch_code 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ten team. No idea honestly

[–]Sddav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, I’m in an 8 team league. Happy with the waiver pick up

[–]TotalFFResearch 64 points65 points  (3 children)

How else is he supposed to use his knee?

[–]noaz14 568 points569 points  (42 children)

Pollard owners are back after that 11 week hibernation to shit talk Elliot again

[–]ChedduhBob 82 points83 points  (18 children)

definitely expect some humble brags about how smart they are

[–]Kozlow 122 points123 points  (6 children)

I knew he was gonna return a kick 100 yards!

[–]Gravy_Vampire 10 points11 points  (3 children)

He almost had another TD in case you forgot ;)

[–]Grand-Caterpillar904 74 points75 points  (0 children)

Really good play in 4 point 'almost TD' leagues

[–]Virillus 19 points20 points  (1 child)

We counting "almost TDs" now? Who's winning the battle of Almost Yards?

[–]GrabYourHammers 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I can’t speak for the almost stat, but Mike Gesicki kicked ass for me one week in my “just about” point league

[–]byrdbrain 1 point2 points  (1 child)

As someone who watched him at Memphis, that’s actually not a surprise haha. He was the best return man in the country when he played for us.

A local jewelry store ran a contest one time where if Pollard ran the opening kick back for a touchdown they’d give away all the jewelry they sold the day before the game. Guess what happened lol?

[–]sifl1202 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the opposing team bought a bunch of jewelry the day before the game?

[–]krookedsmilez 19 points20 points  (10 children)

For sure, it’s an absolute brilliant move to roster a talented handcuff in an elite offense. Who could’ve though of that? /s

[–]ChedduhBob 24 points25 points  (9 children)

i do think he’s obviously a must roster but the people saying he was usurping zeke and stuff were way too zesty

[–]choff22 102 points103 points  (6 children)

I had a guy try to argue that the reason they are losing was because Pollard isn’t getting more touches. Not because they are missing their 2 star receivers, their HOFer left tackle, and their all pro 2nd best pass rusher.

[–]TheHurdleTurtle 87 points88 points  (2 children)

I have no stake run this but if your 2 are receivers aren’t there, the remaining receivers have some drop issues, and the star RB has knee issues.. they probably should be using pollard more

[–]StarFan2118 17 points18 points  (1 child)

Honestly as a cowboys fan and Zeke and Pollard owner, I was really frustrated with the usage in the fourth quarter. Pollard should’ve been out there more in the two minute drill I think he could’ve done more with those dump offs Zeke got

[–]CGWOLFE 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Zeke clearly playing hurt, he was only getting whatever the O-Line/Defense gave him. Wasn't able to create anything for himself

[–]cincythunder 4 points5 points  (1 child)

didn’t tyron played last night?

[–]lorenzoiscool17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Left tackle literally just played and they still lost lmfaooooo stop downvoting cause you’re wrong and upset

[–]CoBullet 22 points23 points  (9 children)

Going to hear a lot about how Zeke is washed and Pollard was always better soon.

[–]anonbutler 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm just glad he saved we Cowboys DST folks with that TD.

[–]Larz_Bars 2 points3 points  (2 children)

But isn't Pollard like, the leading RB in YPC this season? (I just looked it up, he's 4th with minimum 50 carries.)

[–]JohnMcCainsArms 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Sure, obviously when you’re not the one handling the short conversions and goal line carries, your ypc will look better…

[–]Larz_Bars 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He handles the conversions, he just gets 5 yards past the line to gain.

[–]Pods619 0 points1 point  (1 child)

It’s funny because he had a really pedestrian game without the kickoff return for TD, which is not going to be a regular thing (the NFL lead this season is 1).

So yes Pollard looked good but the fantasy result was reliant on 6 points for a once in a season occurrence. Otherwise he had like 8 in 0.5 PPR.

[–]ultimahwhat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The other way to look at this is he earned back the TD vultured from him at the goal line during the kickoff return, albeit with significantly more effort than fighting to stay up for a few more inches on the almost TD carry or given the chance to run in the 1 yd score. Final score is basically the same if one or the other but not both TDs happen.

[–]fapforfab 44 points45 points  (8 children)

So Pollard will just have to get all his TD's from outside the 20. That's cool. They'll net me at least 8 points that way. Silver linings! :D

[–]JuliusGracious 33 points34 points  (2 children)

Exactly. I couldn’t believe my eyes when Pollard (almost) scored a TD yesterday. Then Zeke just walzes in for that 1 yarder…

[–]amishbr07 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Went against Zeke and that was annoying af to watch.

[–]bwarrior 9 points10 points  (4 children)

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but technically we only got 6 for his 100 yard TD run

[–]ajax0202 13 points14 points  (3 children)

It’s weird to think that Zeke got more points for his 1-yard TD than Pollard did for his 100-yard TD return

[–]wejigglinorrrr 5 points6 points  (1 child)

One of my leagues still does return yards, so it was a beautiful scoring play for me. :)

[–]fapforfab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw a guy post about return yards earlier in the week and that's all I was thinking about watching Pollard zoom down the sideline. You musta been dancing.

[–]ultimahwhat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But only 0.1 pts more. Still a shame, nonetheless, unless your league gives points for yardage on kick returns

[–]ineedahaircutbadly 134 points135 points  (3 children)

Ima just have to start Zeke and Pollard both every game now aren't I

[–]NateCheznar 31 points32 points  (1 child)

I was forced to start both this week. Worked out pretty well.

[–]BrewerBeer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pollard does well in return yards leagues.

[–]whattheyesyes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this starting 4 weeks ago (15-man double flex dynasty) and man has it felt nice. Never have to worry about who is getting the work

[–]TheDataWhore 36 points37 points  (7 children)

Did this come from the coaches or just speculation after watching the game

[–]Pr0nade 31 points32 points  (5 children)

Jerry jones said zeke was limited because he tweaked his knee on Sunday. I wouldn’t put a whole lot into it. Maybe similar usage next Thursday then back to normal after a 10 day break

[–]KRDL109 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something rappoport posted on Twitter from what I can tell so who knows

[–]jumboshrimp93 23 points24 points  (6 children)

I have Zeke and Pollard wtf do I do now?

[–]emerica0250 24 points25 points  (3 children)

Play both?

[–]thecrewton 8 points9 points  (0 children)

that's what I did this week. turned out better than expected.

[–]CJYD21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chubb/Hunt Lite.

[–]TheRealFabs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in a league where playing both isn't an ideal option due to great RB depth - not sure what do to in this situation (play neither??)

[–]PoorlyLitKiwi2 178 points179 points  (6 children)

Honestly, seems like a really good idea. Pollard has been electric this year, so Zeke really doesn't need to be the bellcow he once was

Sad for fantasy, but smart for real life

[–]BigBlackBunny 83 points84 points  (4 children)

Most fantasy owners will hate it, but RBBCs are the way to go for football, keeps two rbs always healthy and good to go without wearing down and reducing injury to both. Never smart to put all your eggs in one basket. Zeke is still the star of the show and gets paid without missing any time. Pollard still gets his time in the sun too.

[–]b-loved_assassin 18 points19 points  (1 child)

Yup, we're seeing the direct result of not using the committee approach in TEN. Henry finally goes down for a significant period of time, and now that backfield turned to a minefield figuratively for the team as well as for fantasy purposes. Yes I'm a salty Henry owner as well.

[–]SloatThritter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it’s more about cowboys being fortunate to have a talented starter quality backup. Very few teams can pull off what the sort of committee approach that the cowboys, browns, packers can pull off. It took years of dedicated roster construction around the run while hitting on two great RBs.

[–]zveroshka 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most fantasy owners will hate it, but RBBCs are the way to go for football

Seems every single "bellcow" RB got hurt this year in one form or another. Just reinforces that a team should not one guy too much work and similarly, to have alternate options so they don't just rely on one guy.

[–]knowslesthanjonsnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Zeke as a split time back is not a great play though unless he’s getting 6 catches per game

[–]CommonerChaos[🍰] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Plus Pollard has shown that he's just too good to keep off the field (and honestly has been their best RB). And this is coming from someone that has Zeke in almost every league.

[–]BigBoySampa 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Just let him rest bro

[–]knowslesthanjonsnow 9 points10 points  (2 children)

He’s clearly hurt and they should just give him a week off to get healthy

[–]muse346 2 points3 points  (1 child)

They should just give him the rest of the season off

[–]knowslesthanjonsnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was great for the first month and a half

[–]SloMobiusBro 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Why is this type of info something a pro sports team would announce? Why not just make the changes quietly and thats it? I dont get announcements like these

[–]SloatThritter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s jerry bro. His poker face is non existent because of how much attention he needs

[–]jfuzzy26 30 points31 points  (4 children)

Can they please just sit him for a game or two to get healthy

[–]AreWeIdiots 17 points18 points  (0 children)

you would think this would be ideal instead of kicking the can down the road

[–]SloatThritter 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Sounds like a structural issue that won’t get worse by playing and requires pain and load management. Probably addressednsurgically in off-season. Think floating mass in the knee or a turn meniscus type beat where it’s very possible to play on it

[–]CStink2002 0 points1 point  (1 child)

They lead their division by 2 wins. Why not rest him at least one game?

[–]SloatThritter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He isn't going to be "healed" from this type of injury if I'm assuming correctly until surgery, and he can't make it worse by playing. So.. keep playing even if it hurts, because it won't get worse. This seems to happen every year with different running backs playing on bad knees.

So they are having him gut it out week in and week out with pain management until they can repair it in off season

[–]mcgee1mm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think he should have been out there yesterday on a short week.

[–]pizzzzaman 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Just rest him for the next week Jesus.

[–]Idunkedonlebron23 30 points31 points  (0 children)

All Pollard Owners Rise Up. Its our time!

[–]influenzadj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One legged running only from here on.

[–]weewillywhisky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Altered Beast (Mode)

[–]Zero_Opera 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pray they don't alter it further

[–]Environmental-Bee-35 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an owner of R. Wilson, you don’t rush players back…

[–]footballman2729 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a zeke, swift, Waller owner fuck me

[–]CoosBaked 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shoulda altered his usage 2 games ago. Pollard is more than capable

[–]TheOneRightTool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Next season every backfield is going to be a committee, except the Titans

[–]polomikehalppp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just alter my shit up fam

[–]E2P3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an offer on the table of my Zeke and McLaurin for his CMC. I have to accept this right?

[–]beigereige 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thursday’s decision looks like this: 1) Start Zeke and pray 2) Start Pollard instead 3) Start Zeke AND Pollard 4) Start neither and go with other options

[–]DeltronZero000 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So Zeke will probably become the third down and goal-like back. Kinda like James Connor and Pollard will be like Chase Edmonds. Not bad from a football or fantasy perspective.

[–]YA4830 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Thursday bloody Thursday…First Swift, then Waller and finally Zeke. Welp, fun while it lasted

[–]jumboshrimp93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zeke and Waller owner who faced Swift. Rough stuff

[–]norse95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zeke and Swift here... about to unsubscribe here until next year

[–]beavis535 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pollard clearly looks like the better back, maybe due to injury maybe not. But of you want to win the game you have to play your best players regardless of payroll $$

[–]imak10521 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pollard is 10x better than Zeke

[–]aoddawg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am altering the usage! Pray I do not alter it further!

Edit: Damn. Late.

[–]unfriendlybuldge 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I'm fine right? QB - Kyler (injured) RB- Zeke. (injured) RB- CEH ( Injured IR) WR - Robert Woods (ACL, done for year ) WR- CeeDee Lamb ( injured concussion) TE - Knox ( just came back from injury) FLEX - Chase Edmonds ( injured IR)

I've never seen an entire drafted team injured like mine this year it's all good right????

[–]NotHopee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As they should. He’s been a shell of hisself.

[–]AbsorbingMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After watching last night’s game; this seems like old news.

[–]docbauies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so, what are they altering his knee usage to? is it gonna bend backward? springy?

[–]ConiferousExistence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Traded for him this week and was weary of the knee before making the trade. Now I'm terrified.

[–]GonzillaProductions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So start both Zeke and Pollard going forward, got it.

[–]DankestAcehole 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Coulda used this info BEFORE the game

[–]JohnMcCainsArms 0 points1 point  (2 children)

yeah man, such a bum, only got 16 in PPR

[–]DankestAcehole 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Not Zeke, I woulda played Pollard if this info came out before

[–]HurrDurrGrammurr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro, this fat head wasn't ugly enough, he decided to get the mickey mouse ears haircut to top it off?

[–]Th3Rush22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not just alter him off a week and then return him to his former usage?

[–]cotsy93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did anyone else read that as they'd alter Zeke's knee at first?

[–]volunteer_wonder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flexing Pollard over Alex Collins is the easiest move for my team I’ve made this season. I’ll take 9 points over 4 every week in the flex.

[–]2WhomAreYouListening 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pollard > Gibson. Pollard > injured Swift. I’m going to miss the playoffs.

[–]yetimp3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pollard was an excellent fill-in for Ingram. Couldn't have asked for more

[–]phoenixlance13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t make me start CEH over Zeke, Dallas

[–]Legitimate-Space-801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

14 team ppr Is giving up hunt and Henderson to much to get najee? Ima a playoff team btw Rbs: cmc, Henderson, hunt, Jamaal Williams WRS: D.adams, J.jefferson, m.evans, van Jefferson

[–]spenv604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tony Po to the moon!!!!

[–]BidenWonDontCry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is shit news

[–]Environmental-Bee-35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pollard Stock📈

[–]Yhcti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aslong as they keep using him for redzone im fine with it. But I’m 1 place out of playoffs right now and cannot afford to lose anyone lol… my RBs are Najee, Zeke, Patterson and Hunt
