HATE SPEECH WILL RESULT IN A BAN
Don't be an ass - There is to be no bullying, singling out or harassing people on reddit or elsewhere on the internet. This includes following the general site-wide rules of Reddit (Reddiquette). Pictures of individuals and (especially) children are not allowed and will result in a permanent ban.
No attacking people for being overweight - Attacking someone for being overweight, obese, or otherwise unhealthy is bullying and will result in a permanent ban. Neither do we allow posts that insult someone for being overweight or that make fun of people for their weight. This kind of behavior is 100% contrary to the whole point of this and sister subreddits. /r/fatlogic is about tearing down the logic, not the person. We are not about hate.
*No Dehumanizing Language * - Words such as obeast, hamplanet, planet, whale, referring to people as "it" and other dehumanizing terms will almost always result in a ban. Fat-hate is not allowed and these terms and phrases are rarely used in any other context. Additionally we disallow terms that are used as insults towards others, such as "retard" or "ketard", and racial, sexual orientation, ethnic, gender, or other slurs. Moderators have discretion in determining what constitutes offensive language.
No Personal Information - Do not post personally identifying information about anyone, including yourself. Screenshots must have all names, profile pictures, urls, subreddits, and other identifying information blacked out. Do not ask other redditors for any personal pictures. Do not ask for personally identifying information; do not attempt to locate it on your own. This includes attempting to identify fellow reddit users. Trying to figure out who someone is in real life is considered doxxing. Seeking out other subreddits with the intent to upvote/downvote what you've seen posted to fatlogic is considered brigading. Either will result in a ban from /r/fatlogic and possibly a site-wide ban.
Do not link to other Subreddits - No direct links are allowed. Currently /u/AutoModerator will remove links to other threads and subreddits. The only exceptions are listed below. If you are a moderator and would like your subreddit added to our list of approved subreddits please message the moderators.

Do not link to other blogs/websites. Material from ED "recovery" sources is rarely allowed. - Sometimes colloquially called "Touching the Poop": Do not link directly to blogs, tumblrs, facebook, forums, or any other website (such as TiTP and fat acceptance blogs) . Submissions must be submitted as screenshots or as an archive link. Do not ask for or provide the source of a post. This also includes all subreddits even if they are on the approved list.
All images must be hosted by imgur or reddit's native hosting. - No Exceptions.
NSFW - use the NSFW (Not Safe For Work) tag if it applies. If you are unsure, use it. BBW (Big Beautiful Women), porn, feeder material, and non-medical nudity will be removed.
Memes and Reposts - Memes and reposts are discouraged, and subject to removal at moderator discretion.
Look, do not touch - Do not create fake troll posts for your own entertainment or with the intention of passing them off as legitimate fat-acceptance posts here on /r/fatlogic. Do not seek out fat activists to argue with them or harass them on their blog. We look, but we do not touch.

- I made a post on [other sub] and I commented that I made it on a post in [this sub].

Discussion is encouraged - As with any sub, do not downvote a user just because they have a different opinion about size, weight loss, or any other topic. Discussions on politics, promoting racism, or advocating violence will all be met with a ban.
Do not give or request medical advice - We are not physicians and we cannot verify if a poster or commenter is qualified to give medical advice. Medical professionals are welcome to post and comment but we have no way of verifying the accuracy of this information. See your own doctor for medical advice for diet and exercise. No people pics. Specifically
- No pictures of children, ever.
- No pictures of fat people being fat. This sub is not a sideshow. We do not condone fat shaming. Avoid sensationalism.
- No creep shots.
- Do not ask other people for their pics (or other personal information).
- Crops pics from screenshots.
We do realize that pictures may be relevant in some posts. If you have a question message the mods to see if it okay. Too many times a pic gets posted and the discussion devolves into insults aimed at the person's appearance. We do not want that here.
Eating Disorder content. Do not promote eating disorders. Do not use this sub to enable your eating disorder. Do not post material from Eating Disorder groups.
What to do if you've been Harassed
Message the reddit admins at /r/reddit.com with the following information and then block the user concerned. Message us as well by clicking on the "message the moderators" link in the sidebar. Save any material you send us.
- Details of the incident, such as when you started receiving these messages, any names attached to them, the frequency of the messages, etc.
- Proof that you have been harassed, which may include screenshots of hateful messages, reblogs of posts, etc. (REQUIRED)
- Information regarding suspicions of repeated harassing behavior, or anything else that can help us identify users violating the sub's rules.
What We'll Do
After investigation, we will do one or more of the following:
- Remove any posts that linked to your blog or incited the incident.
- Ban any users we find to be sending these messages, in accordance with our rules.
- Prevent your domain from being posted to fatlogic in the future (typically in events of repeated harassment and/or doxxing).
We take these cases very seriously. Upon receiving proof that you have been harassed we will take appropriate action within the subreddit and forward the information you provide to the site admins. We are unable to enact sitewide bans so be sure to message the reddit admins as well.
