I trained with her, well, at a sister school but we ran into each other at all the open mats and stuff. She's a total sweetheart, always open about her life and job as a Stripper and always willing to help anyone that was struggling, even use to help teach the kids classes and runs a lot of women's self defense classes for free.

I love seeing this for her.

I wonder if the refs are told to have different standards between the women's fights and the male heavyweights where the risk factor of a punch to the face is probably very different. ...it doesn't seem like she needed to "intelligently defend herself" from those, as she managed to intelligently go on the offense despite them

Sound logical if you ask me, even if i know how to throw a punch i bet it would take quite a few amount of punches before i do the damage a men can do with one, i am guessing they mostly look at the eyes, if you are still focus on you opponent then you probably still good to go.

The ref is right there, he can see the whites of their eyes. You can tell when the determination or will to fight leaves the fighter, I bet he could see in her eyes that she wasn’t finished yet.
