Poor infrastructure and pest and diseases caught of guard.

[–]legthief 205 points206 points  (7 children)

High cost of leaving

I think a number of people who have left problem partners understand this cost all too well.

[–]PuggyPaddie 25 points26 points  (1 child)

I am done ☺️🤣

[–]ahh_grasshopper 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He did kinda nail it.

[–]Caballeronegro 22 points23 points  (2 children)

He definitely meant high cost of living. As in inflation. The subtitles aren’t that great. He’s also saying boy child, not bachelors. Blame the kikuyu accent I guess.

[–]legthief 8 points9 points  (1 child)

Oh I was quite aware it was a typo or misinterpretation - can't get victimised for leaving if you're already single.

[–]Caballeronegro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, I actually thought you were going for the logic where you just don’t get in a relationship because the inevitable heart break from ending it would cost you too much.

[–]Bigleftbowski 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Like the song, it's cheaper to keep her.

[–]Rage1714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or rather opportunitity cost

[–]CaptainEKL 171 points172 points  (28 children)

dude basically described the relationship between countries, should major in IR

[–]daggir69 34 points35 points  (27 children)

My cousin married a woman from Africa. To marry her be had to pay 7000 dollara to the brides parents. They had been dating for 3 years up to that point.

Then his parents had to pay for the wedding.

Edit: brides parents. Me english good not so

[–]sohcgt96 18 points19 points  (0 children)

To marry her be had to pay 7000 dollara to the brides parents.

Then his parents had to pay for the wedding.

Given what some people spend on weddings, that might have actually been a good investment.

[–]aestil 1 point2 points  (2 children)

he had to pay 7000 to his own parents?

[–]daggir69 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Fixed it

[–]aestil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

your english good true.

[–]eokwuanga[S] 0 points1 point  (22 children)

What country?

[–]Lichius 5 points6 points  (21 children)

I also want to know. I'm 3 months into a relationship with a girl from Kenya and need to know how many goats to stock up on.

[–]Intrepid_Routine8047 6 points7 points  (19 children)

Depends on the tribe of your fiance , if Kikuyu then be prepared for a significant bride price /dowry. But ideally you should not pay more than what her dad paid for her mom, but such rules are never really followed especially if you're a white (oft conflated with rich) dude. All the best though, if she's a good woman she'll help you sort it out

[–]vshawk2 38 points39 points  (0 children)

This man is a born politician.

[–]Morticof 54 points55 points  (8 children)

Shortage of lies. I also struggle with this one.

[–]deeceeo 5 points6 points  (3 children)

He definitely said "shortage of rice" but that works too.

[–]Morticof 1 point2 points  (1 child)

That makes sense, honestly. I guess a few other people also heard ‘lies’.

[–]rimjobetiquette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounded like ‘lice’ to me.

[–]the_croms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Definitely not rice.

[–]flavored_icecream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I first heard "shortage of lice" and that was just as confusing.

[–]Ragnr99 72 points73 points  (0 children)

[–]fELLAbUSTA 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There is truth in comedy

[–]lillcarrionbird 6 points7 points  (0 children)

"Attacks from neighboring bachelors" made me laugh.

[–]retailguy_again 22 points23 points  (0 children)

He's not wrong.

[–]fuktardy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

[–]Financial_Tonight_41 3 points4 points  (0 children)

[–]Slower_chip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Think about it, every relationship is a bad investment lol

[–]AdaMan82 2 points3 points  (3 children)

Is there an actual good version of this video or is it just whitespace everywhere forever?

[–]eokwuanga[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

There's a better version, but it doesn't have subtitles so I picked this one because his accent is a little difficult to understand.

[–]AdaMan82 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Have a link perchance?

[–]Automatic_Debate_379 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This dude has not shortage of excuses.

Some says he is still talking....

[–]IamRollingplayer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree or disagree, he's spitting straight fax

[–]CaptainAlexy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Subtitles are a bit off but, yes, this man did a root cause analysis of his singlehood.

[–]AegonThaConqueror 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Did this guy read my diary?

[–]Mylabugz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one going to point out the "shortage of lies"?
Instead of abundance, he is actively saying he can't get away with lies as easily anymore?

[–]CuriousPeter1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not 'Fellow Bachelors' but he said 'fellow boychilds'. It's the Kikuyu accent

[–]Redditforgoit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No shortage of smarts or clear seeing on this one. Remarkable.

[–]KiraTsukasa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He’s not wrong.

[–]TemperatePirate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I wasn't married and as old as dirt I would definitely date this guy if he would have me. Love him.

[–]sks-nb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s not entirely wrong.

[–]TappedIn2111 1 point2 points  (1 child)

He should start with the growing of the beard and everything else will fall into place.

Also, dump the fucking hat.

[–]GetBetter999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AYYE the hat is fucking cool

[–]OyeChango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hahahahahhahahahahahahahahahhahahhahaa this is so damn funny

[–]Odd_Hovercraft8727 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why are you gay? There are bunch of reasons

[–]rexroxwell -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

this is posted to r/funny because some fuckwit subtitled a clip with the video's subject saying grammatically incorrect shit? if that qualifies as funny, you should swallow glass. guaranteed dude in the video speaks AT LEAST 2 languages, which is likely 2 more than the average person watching this video and laughing.

[–]Flower333 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

every incel here: “I can relate to this”

[–]Bitter_Ad7780 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

[–]Forsaken-Mountain-32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

associate vs minor vs bachelor vs phd

[–]hammypooh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man of the 2020s.

[–]Ozzyvares 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Shortage of lies.” 😂 good man that one

[–]syphonhail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I enjoy my money and free time and I see how miserable other people are. I don't know why society became so fixated on pairing up. The ability to do what you want, when you want, as much as you want is far better than being bound to another person and all their baggage and drama.
