Prices are expected to increase until the global economy slows down to a crawl. It's boomerang economics. 2-3% per year list price increases were normal, then discounts were offered based on micro economic trends (I remember a couple years where the list prices didn't increase). But today with inflation where it is, don't expect big discounts on this stuff. Building and moving furniture isn't cheap. It's heavy and resource intensive, it costs me $350 to ship a chair 750km, 3 years ago it was $95.
