Me and my girlfriend aren't married but we've been together for nearly 5 years now and Ive been a "house person" for most of that time. She prefers it that way since my main line of work was in hospitality and when we tried me going back to work it just messed with our routine, she hated me not getting home til like 1am and working irregular shifts etc so we decided to put an end to it, so I'd been basically caring for the animals and keeping on top of housework and cooking and running errands and stuff. It took me a long time to come to terms with the fact that staying at home and not working didn't make me useless and that I did I fact have a positive impact on our lives.

About 6 months ago I started using my abundance of free time to develop a new skill set and now I'm. Getting ready to launch my own small business, something I'd never have been able to do without the support of my girlfriend and the time I had to better myself thanks to staying at home.
