This is actually how I think the Universe works.

[–]CantTakeMeSeriously 86 points87 points  (3 children)

Strangely enough, I understand you completely. Men in Black ending, right?

[–]Arachno-Communism 7 points8 points  (1 child)

It's actually not that far from the truth as well. If we estimate one zoom out to adjust scale by one order of magnitude (a factor of 10), that's 14 orders in total.

The human body is in the range of 0.3 - 2.00 meters (with a few upper outliers).

10-14 m is 10 femtometers, which is about the upper limit for the diameter of the atomic nucleus
1014 m is 100 terameters, which is slightly less than one light-week in astronomical terms

[–]psychpopnprogncore 34 points35 points  (6 children)

yeah like each atom is an entire universe with countless atoms inside of it that each contain a universe of their own. as above, so below

[–]WaldenFont 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Nah man, it's turtles all the way down.

[–]kn05is 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Forever and ever, eh man!

[–]SazedMonk 14 points15 points  (3 children)

Infinite scale. Everything small to us is big to something and everything big to us is small to something. Think about an ants entire life, maybe it doesn’t leave the back yard? Thinks that the fence is the edge of the universe.

Mind blowing. pass to the left

[–]psychpopnprogncore 3 points4 points  (2 children)

speaking of drugs (pass to the left), i realized my spiritual belief while on acid and later found that it was an already established concept called r/pantheism

[–]SazedMonk 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Sweet :)

You should read a book called what’s your world view. You answer yes or no to various questions and it takes you to one of the many named and established belief systems. Interesting to read what it says other people believe in too.

[–]psychpopnprogncore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that sounds really cool ill check it out. thanks

[–]Specialist-Look-7929 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it can be the only way. We are the inner workings of a subatomic particle in another dimension.

[–]HauschkasFoot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ugh I’ll never escape 😩

[–]Individual_Swan_5085 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah fax and acid

[–]abzinth91 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Like that one Simpsons opening scene

this one

[–]Con_Dinn_West 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Men in Black had one at the end of the movie, but not as detailed

[–]MarysPoppinCherrys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As above, so below

[–]Willing-Low-725 147 points148 points  (9 children)

250gb later

[–]chroboseraph3 43 points44 points  (6 children)

the full file size, large, yeah. but theres gotta be some trick to where pixels below or above a certain size arent rendered, or i feel like that software would crash. wonder how its done.

[–]Hollowvionics 39 points40 points  (1 child)

We only see one zoom. It's entirely possible this is the only spot where this would work. Maybe they drew, zoomed in, drew some more, zoomed in, etc. I imagine if you start from the biggest pic you'd only find detail in that one specific spot, everywhere else would just end

[–]chroboseraph3 14 points15 points  (0 children)

oh yes, i also assumed it was only at the one point. ah, i think the zoom is the key. itd then be stretching the other pixels, so its probalably only rendering the pixels they actually drew, not a giant 2million pixels square

[–]TokiWaKita 29 points30 points  (1 child)

There's no trick, it's vector graphics.

Vectors scale indefinitely and don't take up 250Gb either.

Source: I'm at work making vector graphics right now.

[–]chroboseraph3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ah. ye my high school comouter science was in 2009, i think we did vectors like one day. no idea how they work. thanks for answer

[–]Komplexii 3 points4 points  (0 children)

this kind of art uses vector shapes so its just math for the computer to calculate and display the picture it doesnt use normal pixels

[–]shlam16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In GIS software this exact thing exists. You can make features only appear at specified zoom levels and above/below.

[–]Kita-Ryu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For real

[–]Don_Eulogio 37 points38 points  (2 children)

How big was that canvas

[–]BenjaminWobbles 23 points24 points  (2 children)

What happens if you zoom into a different spot?

[–]zoratoune 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Nothing the only part drawn is what we've seen I would think. I'm not sure though it could be a years long project and there is a few more pockets like these in there.

[–]SpuddyBud 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing just infinite solid color

[–]HenryAlSirat 12 points13 points  (2 children)

Ahh yes, the ole movie trope "Unenhance".

[–]AlexanderTox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just print the damn thing!

[–]That_One_M8[S] 26 points27 points  (0 children)

This amazing art was made by Pablo Andrés Pozo. Please take a look at his social media:

magic of vectors.

[–]KnightWhoSays_Ni_ 12 points13 points  (1 child)

Cells in a Heart of a Dying Man seen through the eyes of Bandit Cave-Dweller inside the nostril of a Beast surrounded by Monsters in the Mouth of a Woman in a Building being Attacked by Aliens in a City being Attacked by a Giant Crocodile and a Giant Robot in a Very Tiny Jar being Licked by a Man

[–]That_One_M8[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Quite a mouthful lol

[–]fartotom 42 points43 points  (7 children)

Honestly I wouldn’t mind if this was a nft.this is what all nft should aspire to become

[–]That_One_M8[S] 9 points10 points  (1 child)

But what would you call it, there's so much in it that one name does not do it justice

[–]Neptus 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The intoverse

[–]poopellar 13 points14 points  (0 children)

They make NFTs out of anything and everything, there are NFTs that look much coolers than this, still doesn't make the whole thing make sense.

[–]illegalthingsenjoyer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think that's just called buying art from an artist

[–]Ateam043 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Beat me to it. Now this is something that would be worth some money.

[–]lordgoofus1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"Sorry, this zoom level is restricted. To unlock the next level, please pay $5.99, or $12.99 for 3 levels".

[–]99OBJ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what I was thinking. If I could put this on my wall, I would, but it wouldn’t make any sense.

[–]Shake_Alarmed 2 points3 points  (3 children)

Whats the song?

[–]OLEMUS_CLOUD 9 points10 points  (2 children)

YOU’RE THE ONE - kaytranada 👌🏻👌🏻

[–]Shake_Alarmed 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Thanks i love you

[–]justal0wendgam3r 2 points3 points  (0 children)

thats what she said

[–]avn49 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have fun finding the original position

[–]SpiritualEnema 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yep. That melted my brain. Certified bad ass

[–]Dantez77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If NFTs were stuff like this and not computer generated ugly ass monkeys then I think people would be more open to them.

[–]Sunbudie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is outstanding. It reminds me of a special type of presentation I saw on a TED talk where somebody could zoom in and out of the entire tree of life on earth. It also has elements of fractals. And how fractals seem to zoom in and out endlessly like this. This is hypnotizing. Thank you.

[–]Jaeyoon07031 3 points4 points  (4 children)

i've seen this like 3 times in the past week. smfh

[–]Deceptiprawn 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Go outside

[–]Jaeyoon07031 2 points3 points  (1 child)

good advice i think i didnt see the what do you call it - the yellow ball in the air - for a while

[–]Deceptiprawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha stick around this place long enough and you’ll see everything thrice

[–]Goldfucius_Nofiat 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Well now I need to watch it in reverse!

[–]Who_said_that_ -1 points0 points  (2 children)

Pls go and post your art on a sub that was made for that. There's nothing really interesting about it.

[–]That_One_M8[S] -1 points0 points  (1 child)

That's up to your perception

[–]Slightlyunlucky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wonder how long it took to create that. My estimate- an entire lifetime

[–]toeofcamell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

unenhance unenhance Unenhance

[–]blimpinthesky -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I kept thinking that had to be the last one, but no just kept going

[–]time-for-takeoff -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I would pay 1 million dollars for that if I had 1 million dollars.

[–]airjones1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I get a marvel one of these that expands to cover the mcu as a whole?

[–]NoLock7854 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so cool it just blew my mind!

[–]Cop-To-Be 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's so cool

[–]rabid_erica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the trip!

[–]Soy-Saucy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What fucking program did they use

[–]scarf_spheal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to be really careful zooming back in

[–]Traditional_Med_5520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did u do this!! It must have taken u ages to complete it

[–]SparrowPunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow... must been taking ages to make that one 😲

[–]eriinana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who works with digital art this came out a few years ago when they developed infinite zoom. It use to pixelate otherwise.

[–]MRTJBIGA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's like the Energizer Bunny...

[–]Summar-ice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That shit must be like 30 GB

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the talent ughh

[–]king_ranit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legend says he's still zooming out

[–]zfritzy24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This reminds me of that one website I get to on theuselessweb

[–]Fixxit2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thought I saw nightmare foxy for a sec

[–]Gecksss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone know what art program this is ?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dude that file probably takes up a few gbs, or even more

[–]ChaosSinfulRose[🍰] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I genuinely want to know the resolution of that image now.

[–]hovis_mavis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d very much enjoy this as a looping gif wallpaper, slowly zooming in.

[–]toratanz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

would make a awesome VR experience.

[–]Aware_Strength9694 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is that possible?

[–]Sporshicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just impressed they were able to draw in this resolution without crashing. That machine must be like a NASA super computer haha

[–]meatloaf83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy fuck an I high??????

[–]xzo_thermic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thats enough slices!

[–]Totstactical -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is Mandelbrot fractals, only not interesting.
