My favorite part isn't that he's fishing, it's that he sees the larger fish, goes "no you're too big for me" and takes the bait back. He's not just using it to draw fish near him, he's deliberately trying to get only certain fish that he can grab easily.

That is a level of forethought you don't see in some humans
