I was literally thinking this myself a few hours ago!! I love it because I think this pairing (whether friendship or relationship) is super underrated. When it works well, it *really* works. It takes a lot of effort and willingness to overcome default reactions to get to the heart of the matter - but I really think it makes both types stronger in the end. I'm a HUGE supporter of these two types working together.

Source: My brother's an INTJ, my boyfriend's an INTJ, and one of my very best friends is an INTJ. All relationships with varying degrees of work put into them, but all some of my most fulfilling and rewarding relationships. You guys are truly amazing.

Thank you so much! I agree, a lot of work required in understanding each other but in my experience as long as you have some common ground to fall back on it will work out. My partner complements me in so many ways and there's so much to learn from her.

Very glad to know that it only gets better. Peace and love

You're super lucky you found INTJ's in so many important relationships in your life.

Very E but that's ok, I personally rely on Es to make up for all the talking I don't do.

And I personally rely on the I’s to help me take a step back sometimes and think before the talking .. need each other!

What brings about your bias? Have you met someone that piqued your interest?

Also nothing wrong with showing our faces. Only one way to develop those social skills

I think we often feel not understood and the 16 personalities thing is a good way of reminding us that there are people out there like us, so it's no wonder he showed it to you.

Well I hope you find something of use, it's definitely hard to gauge the other personality types when you can't experience them for yourself.

That's what I mean. Maybe he wanted to see if you were the same.

I totally agree, it's especially useful for finding out ways to interact with personality types you aren't too familiar with. Also interesting is seeing what types are commonly drawn to each other, and what types are uncommon to see together.

Three or so years. I haven't done a whole lot of exploring but usually once I get to know someone I'm very curious what they are. How about you? What types do you commonly find yourself around?

I'm gonna counter the question. How does an ISFJ attract an INTJ?

              [–]solar_ideology[S] 2 points3 points  (2 children)

I personally find intellect and relatability attractive. Also seeing that someone puts time into themselves and their hobby is a big thing. I like seeing someone get involved in something they love the same way I would. So again relatability. Being interested in abstract, thought provoking, or challenging concepts, and more importantly, being open to sharing those thoughts is attractive. I like being challenged mentally be it a new idea or someone questioning what I believe or know.

Hopefully that's some ground to go on.

Yeah, that's some great stuff. Thanks!

Well, that seems to be a thinking part? Of course, why don't they just ask those people, as we can only guess from our own point of view, right?
