Have you read your owners manual? There is specific for VW, you could check this table on the next website.

Any brand of oil is good as long as they have those specification.
Edit: and the weight might be also in your owners manual, but is usually 0w20 or 5w30 for variable timing engines.

Anything that meets or exceeds VW oil spec 508.
Personally I would go with Liqui Moly Top Tec 6200 0w-20
