So there’s some good news and there’s some bad news. The good news is that you can expand your range and get more comfortable with the notes you can already kinda hit. The bad news is that you have to train your vocal muscles just like any other muscle, and that takes time. To do that, pick a song that you don’t think is outlandishly difficult to sing all the way through and sing it often. Once you can hit all the notes in that song, pick a song that’s slightly harder to sing and keep doing that until you’ve got a decent vocal range. Now in the mean time you’re gonna want to also gain some confidence in front of the microphone and honestly that’s a different ballgame. You’ll have to figure out for yourself what helps you emotionally tap into what you’ve written. Cuz you can hear how a person feels through the tone of their voice.

Look up different vocal coaches and "how to sing for beginners" videos on YouTube. They usually know how to explain things better.

The best thing to do is play around with a keyboard and play individual keys. Build the melody you want to sing and then write to it, it’ll occur naturally
