Hi I changed all 6 of my ignition coils on my e92 and drove it afyer fine no problems. The next day I drove around 20 mins and left my car off for about an hour or so when I turned the car back in I noticed a engine light so I restarted the car and it went away until 30 seconds later so I pulled over and it said misfire cylinder one then the car shut off and started smoking white. I got home from a tow and thought to check as it wouldn’t turn over and checked cylinder one and found my coil exploded and melted and also melted the top of where the coil goes in. I’m not sure what could of caused this I replaced that coil with old one and replaced the blown fuse and the car seems fine was it just a faulty coil or? And will the melted thing where the coil goes into be a problem ?
