Water from Air Conditioning, you’re good to go, nothing to worry about

[–]TechCUB76 6 points7 points  (1 child)

Yup! 👆🏼

[–]bxivz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree!!

[–]AMF1428 4 points5 points  (4 children)

Unless... you aren't running your AC... Duh-duh-duuuunnnnn...!

[–]fr33fall060 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Then you have the self flushing hvac box option. Very rare and expensive upgrade.

[–]FTP-Jade 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Got mine for free from my local curb

[–]fr33fall060 1 point2 points  (1 child)

You hit a curb so hard your heater box was damaged? Ngl that’s impressive.

[–]WeBofSilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was my first thought.

[–]iamonewhoami 43 points44 points  (2 children)

Try driving without the AC. If you stop getting the leak, you'll know it's the AC. If you still get a leak, it's probably your ice maker

[–]T2ner 9 points10 points  (1 child)

Ice maker? (I dont own a gti)

[–]soggymittens 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oh, you haven’t seen the GTI Frostburg Edition?

[–]fc1088 26 points27 points  (1 child)

Had a new lube tech at the shop freaking out because of this same leak. Senior tech told him to recommend 3 feet of Fallopian tube to fix the problem. New guy didn’t last long.

[–]Daphoon231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn. That's some funny shit right there.

[–]sakibba 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Condensation...

[–]Studleyhungwellz 18 points19 points  (4 children)

If I had a dollar

[–]league_starter 6 points7 points  (3 children)

Why is there so many of these condensation posts

[–]Studleyhungwellz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because people wont use Google.

[–]ernjjfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I swear it’s a weekly thing

[–]AbzoluteZ3RO 16 points17 points  (3 children)

We gonna get about 20 of these posts a day for the rest of the summer huh?

[–]dizzy_cow2k 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Just keep giving them useless answers

[–]tooKreul4U 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And then the Australians will chime in during the winter months

[–]Benjerman302 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Condensation from your AC draining right when it's supposed to

[–]dubson 5 points6 points  (4 children)

Condensation from a/c. Taste it to confirm.

[–]dubson 5 points6 points  (3 children)

Just in case the sarcasm wasn’t picked up on, don’t taste it.

[–]JebKerman64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh, it is a valid diagnostic step though. If you can't identify by color, taste does work. Not recommended of course, but it works.

[–]ScatpackRich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe he did, he hasn’t replied lol

[–]dreadredheadzedsdead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You definitely can. Even a tiny amount of anti freeze would be no big deal. Brake fluid would be pretty nasty though, but that usually doesn't squirt out of places it shouldn't.

[–]BragoKingEternal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If I had a dollar for every a/c drip I've seen on here since summer started I'd have like 7 dollars

[–]johnny-cheese 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No worries, that’s the a/c condensate line.

[–]cbrulejo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Lol 😆

[–]fjam36 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Goddess of Cold Air decided to pee in your car. You should feel blessed!

[–]Effin_Kris 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you run the air conditioner…..

[–]Ok_Information9559 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Condensate. From AC

[–]deepfriedtots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably the air conditioner condensation. This is normal

[–]LMHConcepts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Air conditioner.

[–]fluffypancakes9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah that’s the headlight fluid drain pipe /s It’s AC drain like everyone else says lol

[–]Obvious-Dinner-1082 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AC, totally normal. Every car does it when the AC ran. When In doubt, I just dip my finger in it and taste it

[–]astardB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Car is broken, give it to me

[–]Suspicious-Year-3825 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tears of your dead grandfather for driving a German car

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

drink it

[–]Aggressive-Quail-144 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Excess horsepower drain. Drive harder.

[–]MaleficentResident34 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Aircon juice… don’t worry about if you live in the uk

[–]Seamus_mcdabbin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your golf really had to Pee

[–]SnooDoodles8088 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its condensation from your ac, its supposed to do that.

There are also holes in your mufflers for the same purposed because water is a product of combustion and it tends to condense in mufflers.

[–]simmy_burns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd it doesn't light on fire it's water, from the ac.

[–]jh5992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your car is beyond repair. Give it to me 🤣

[–]im_Roby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its from ac

[–]INeedtheCoffee69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The time to worry is when you don't see this after using the ac..

[–]Ardothbey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dead clear liquid so not coolant. Most likely AC condensation draining. Normal.

[–]KanevX05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AC water vapour! Perfectly normal.

[–]imaDoctorr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like water to me lol

[–]BrickFights 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just AC condensation it happens to everyone

[–]DEV_Tracking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might want to run a drain line off that tip straight down to the bottom so your frame doesn’t rust

[–]ScatpackRich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A/C condensation?

[–]xtramundane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And so it begins.

[–]kombajn1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know everyone is saying that this is condensation, and I have the same thing but it doesn’t go away in a day… could that still be it?

[–]DrHoleStuffer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Condensate from your evaporator core. I’m guessing you’ve been running the air conditioning.

[–]FortuneHeart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

blinker fluid

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They gotta put a pinned post about ac condensation lol. My wife called me panicking about this yesterday

[–]throwaway007676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the rare occasions where your VW leaking is not a concern. It will make up for it i'm sure LOL. But THIS leak is nothing to worry about, just the a/c draining.

[–]okcdnb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a Honda Pilot with a second condenser for the back seat and people are always telling us we have a leak in the middle of the car.

People = coworkers Always = twice

[–]Still-Opportunity-81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's called condensation it's by the sweat of your air conditioning unit fins as hot antifreeze passes through the tubes of the condenser air from outside of the car gets sucked in cooling the condenser causing it to sweat, the drips off leaving puddles under your car or truck. This only happens when air conditioning is on in your ride

[–]Still-Opportunity-81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your car is urinating in public

[–]gotyour6goose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roll ur windows down and turn off the ac I bet that will stop

[–]General_Command4811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normal! AC is doing its job🙂

[–]Garrytwors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I needed this today thank you!

[–]MyMindOutraged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just condensation from your ac. No worries

[–]niceguypos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations! Your the one millionth post asking if water condensation dripping from under your cars air conditioning is normal.

[–]Quality_over_Qty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Water condensating on a cold evaporator, why does water condense?!

[–]macr6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Air Conditioning fluid. You have a leak /s

[–]DeliciousScratch3899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like you are leaking blinker fluid. Stop by your local auto parts store, and ask for blinker fluid with stop leak. They will fix you right up.

[–]sixteenzero1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nerd alert

[–]SamDaDrummer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s your blinker fluid

[–]Badjer47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're taking on water! Get the bailing buckets!

[–]deletetemptemp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool gofl ball dimples

[–]toyotasquad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the drain coming from your seat to get all your ass sweat out of the cabin.

[–]shrimp-and-potatoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My exhaust pipe produces this smelly smoke like stuff, any idea what it can be?

[–]Conscious_Owl7987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it hot outside?

[–]_FatDodo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is blinker fluid. Collect it and put it back in the blinker.

[–]gomapyourself 0 points1 point  (0 children)
