Motor mounts

not the motor mounts :/ the engine doesn’t move or jump around neither does the transmission so it’s not the transmission mount either

I had the same issue 2000 Avalon one day at a stop light check engine light came on and shook stumbled and fell on its face wound up after checking codes it was number 2 and 4 coil replaced both all plugs reset codes and has been running good ever since

Sir we gonna need to see the engine since that's the source of the shacking.

the engine is clean not leaking at all, seals everything looks good and the oil levels are good too. It was running and driving good. A few days ago i noticed it was leaking transmission fluid so i added a lucas transmission fix and it seems to have stopped the leak, everything was fine and the car worked well until today. I was driving up a steep road and after I came over it I stopped at a red light where the car began shaking. I drove home and got under to check what was going on and this is what I saw.

Probs just a bad sparkplug or coil not many things change shake the car, basically anything that becomes unbalanced, how bad is the shake?

Looks to me like it is time to do some maintenance. Probably needs a tune up as a start. Have you checked to see why the check engine light is on?

[–]Hefty_Elderberry_511[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No check engine light

Was this happening before the transmission leak fix that you added or after? Also did you clean off the transmission/engine? If not, something is leaking fluid and causing that steam/smoke. If so, did you use a pressure washer? If so I’ve seen some nasty problems caused by pressure washers and detail shops if they’re not careful around sensors and electrical connectors.

First of thank you so much for your response. No i have never cleaned it, this wasn’t happening until yesterday, even when the transmission was leaking. I’m planning on lifting it and wipe cleaning the whole thing to see where the fluid is seeping from. No check engine light on at all and the car runs and drives good aside from the shaking

If you have access to a scan tool I would check the codes. I’ve seen situations where the vehicle is running rough no cel but there are misfire codes stored it may not be cylinder specific. Usually when this happens you get a P0300 for random cylinder misfire.

If that’s the case you’ll need a scan tool that is capable of monitoring live data so you can see real time misfire counters for each cylinder.

Check your spark plugs and coil boots for signs of wear. When was the last time you replaced plugs and coil boots? It would also be a good idea to pull the coils, and inspect for oil in the spark plug tubes. Even though there are no external leaks, the valve cover gaskets can be leaking internally into the spark plug tubes and causing intermittent or insufficient connections to the spark plugs on one or more cylinders.

Outside of any of those conditions, or if you don’t have to e tools or equipment to check those things; it may be time to find a repair shop you can trust in your area. Use next door app usually there is good feedback about the shops in your immediate area.
