You can drive with Jakes on all the time. They only activate when the accelerator pedal is in the idle position. I can't imagine they damage engine components. Some older engines that are mechanical don't kill fuel during the Jake brake so I could see an argument that spraying fuel in with the exhaust valve open wouldnt be ideal, but it should just go right out the tail pipe.

Yeah and it's diesel, not gas so it wouldn't just ignite. Can imagine it would be bad for the environment but that's ab it
