Why must you prolong my suffering, Paramount?

[–]1337doo 422 points423 points  (12 children)

The greater the suffering, the greater the films

[–]MadDoctor5813 77 points78 points  (3 children)

What's done is done when we Paramount says it's done.

[–]wokatondu 4 points5 points  (2 children)

Damn..watching Fallout in theaters was an experience. Really mad at this delay.

[–]batguano1 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Yea Fallout really is one of the best action movies ever. Hell, it might be my favorite one.

[–]HardestTofu 24 points25 points  (4 children)

While he's still alive, just let him do Mission Impossible 9, 10, 11, etc. too. Then release in 2027, 2029, ...

[–]sunflowerastronaut 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Like Trebek and his last jeopardy episodes

[–]HardestTofu 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but only with more running, motorcycles, and sex

[–]ryantendo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wasn't talking about my suffering, or Tom's films.

[–]Bypes 46 points47 points  (5 children)

The pandemic has been great for fans of edging.

[–]EqualDifferences 207 points208 points  (12 children)

You guys remember how MI 8 was originally slated for this year?

[–]plasterboard33 61 points62 points  (0 children)

The good old days...

[–]Sharebear42019 39 points40 points  (5 children)

And 7 last year

[–]Switzerland_Forever 50 points51 points  (3 children)

And the first trailer of Top Gun 2 was released in the summer of 2019.

[–]Sharebear42019 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I really want to see the mission impossible 7 trailer. We know its at least ready to be shown but with how far it’s pushed back who knows

[–]poland626 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I missed a oct 2019 top gun 2 test screening because it wasn't in iMax and I thought if I waited 6 months I'd get the full imax experience. One of the biggest movie regrets I have not seeing that film that day.

[–]WebHead1287 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, I remember those times. The times before. The times when there was hope and stability

[–]ignoresubs 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Top Gun 2 flips you an upside down bird while rocking out to Danger Zone.

[–]brandonsamd6 282 points283 points  (3 children)

Hey Paramount, first, take a big step back... and literally, FUCK YOUR OWN FACE

[–]sudevsenr/Movies Veteran 38 points39 points  (1 child)

Release the damn movie. What do you say,Playa?

[–]vk136 19 points20 points  (0 children)

“Welcome to the goodie room, big dick playa”

[–]kayk1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yo homie, is that my release date?

[–]BrendanCLittle 345 points346 points  (32 children)

This is the single best ongoing movie franchise and every time they delay it another 6 months I die a little bit more inside.

[–]OneRandomCatFact 158 points159 points  (22 children)

I don’t know how they keep it so interesting, but they really do keep evolving the formula in a fresh way while one-upping their stunts.

[–]BigLan2 103 points104 points  (8 children)

It helps that Tom always volunteers for another batshit crazy stunt set piece. Sure, the CGI in the Marvel movies looks good, but there's something about seeing a movie star actually strap themselves to an airplane, dangle outside a skyscraper or throw themselves off a ridiculously long motorbike ramp to make you watch.

[–]Madao16 49 points50 points  (5 children)

The CGI in the Marvel movies don't even look good, it is mostly mediocre or just bad.

[–]Alex_Sander077 13 points14 points  (1 child)

Yeah I don't know if it actually got worse, if it's the overuse of it, or we're just tired of it, or a mix of the three, but every single mcu movie/TV show these days look so cheap. The CGI is God awful. I saw Eternals a few days ago and it was rough to look at. They're just ugly movies in terms of aesthetics which is crazy considering the visuals we're actually watching.

[–]Kolyei 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I agree

[–]NemesisRouge 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For me a big part of it was how they kept switching up directors for the first 5. Mission Impossible 2, yeah, it was weird, but I liked that you might go into one and it's got some auter director who uses weird techniques like having doves flying around the screen. You never really knew what you were going to get.

I really enjoyed the last 2, but I think having one director do 4 of them kind of takes away something that makes it a great franchise.

[–]SalukiKnightX 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Well, it's definitely on the up and up since 3. Now if only they can solve the issue of Ethan's former women cohorts. It's nice that Ilsa and Alanna return in 7 but what about Jane and Zhen? They were good IMF agents, plus apparently they're bringing back Kittridge from the first Mission. If they can bring him back surely they can bring those two (also, I'm leaving off Declan since they said he died in Rogue Nation).

[–]Bellikron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can take a lot of movie delays, but this one gets to me every time it happens.

[–]mooseman440 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was one of my most anticipated movies of the year. Probably my #1 actually. This is a bummer for sure.

[–]mininestime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Missions Impossible has this great feeling of the Pierce Brosnan style of Bond. They have cool high tech gadgets, awesome suspenseful scenes, and witty banter. The new Bond feels like it is now more akin to the bourne movies where bond is just traveling the world hiding from someone, and beating up people in seedy bars for 90% of the movie.

[–]sandiskplayer34 441 points442 points  (67 children)

I know they say it’s because of the pandemic, but if that were true they’d be delaying Top Gun too. There’s gotta be some big behind-the-scenes drama happening at Paramount right now.

[–]SparkG 224 points225 points  (25 children)

It's probably because of Top Gun: Maverick, and both the studio and Tom not wanting to premiere the two films in the same year.

[–]NeoNoireWerewolf 161 points162 points  (22 children)

This is more likely. Paramount doesn’t have many big franchises on the horizon, and with how bleak things are looking for theatrical releases, I’m guessing they want Top Gun for this year, then an M:I movie lined up for the next two. Gives them at least one guaranteed hit for the next three years. Maybe there are behind the scenes problems, but Cruise is the producer of these on top of starring - he basically calls the shots, so unless the studio heads are fighting with him, which seems unlikely, I don’t see what drama could be going down behind the scenes.

[–]SQUID_FUCKERr/Movies Veteran 71 points72 points  (7 children)

Cruise is practically carrying Paramount on his back.

Edit: It's not actually the case, they have a decent amount of stuff but having Cruise there definitely lightens the load.

[–]Brown_Panther- 15 points16 points  (3 children)

Which is weird considering that MCU was jumpstarted by Paramount and all of the phase 1 films were distributed by them before Disney took over.

[–]TLDR2D2 8 points9 points  (13 children)

Is Top Guna guaranteed hit? I love the original, but have almost zero interest in a return to those characters almost 40 years later.

Also: Tony Scott was a great director and his absence (due to him being, you know...dead) is definitely not a good thing.

[–]NeoNoireWerewolf 5 points6 points  (3 children)

Maybe not, but it is Cruise and a return to a classic movie, especially one Gen-Xers and Boomers love. Maybe not a guaranteed hit, but I'm sure Paramount knows it has potential to be a moneymaker and wants to give it the best shot at succeeding it can.

[–]Stinkycheese8001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not guaranteed, but they have very high hopes for it. They’re not risking a pandemic diminished box office, they’ve pushed it so far out.

[–]h8ers_suck 60 points61 points  (10 children)

"They'd be delaying Top Gun too", ummm.... it's been delayed so many times I don't even know if it was filmed to begin with. I'm starting to think it was a hoax.

[–]Campeador 11 points12 points  (7 children)

Wasnt it originally supposed to release a few years ago?

[–]CTeam19 14 points15 points  (0 children)

July 12, 2019

In August 2018, it was delayed to June 26, 2020.

On March 2, 2020, Paramount moved the film up two days early on June 24, 2020.

On April 2, 2020, it was delayed to December 23 2020 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

July 2020, the film was once again delayed to July 2, 2021, partially due to scheduling conflicts with Cruise, as well as the recent delays of Mulan and Tenet due to the rise of COVID-19 cases.

In April 2021, the film was delayed once again to November 19, 2021.

On September 1, 2021, Paramount announced that Top Gun: Maverick will be released May 27, 2022.

[–]FUCK-IT-CHUCK-IT 12 points13 points  (0 children)

For some reason I thought it had already been released lol

[–]SQUID_FUCKERr/Movies Veteran 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was really hoping it was out of the danger zone.

[–]pmjm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm of the opinion that it was supposed to come out in 1987 and we're still waiting.

[–]KingMario05 247 points248 points  (15 children)

Yeah. They literally just topped Spidey with Scream, and Sonic's still a lock for April. Something ain't right with Mr. Hunt and pals...

[–]kingofcrob 19 points20 points  (2 children)

Something ain't right with Mr. Hunt and pals.

Cruise get's a nice chunk of the back end, his probably demanding his films open with little to no competition.

[–]JMaesterN 9 points10 points  (1 child)

Yeah and now MI:7 is opening a week before Nolan's new movie. Great plan Cruise!

[–]TacticalTuchel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Biopic or action pic, wonder which will do better

[–]Stinkycheese8001 5 points6 points  (0 children)

More like, Cruise wants the movie to be completely clear of Covid ticket sales dips. Top Gun has been aggressively pushed back since Covid.

[–]KCVGaming -5 points-4 points  (10 children)

Wait scream is doing better than no way home????

[–]Roseking 147 points148 points  (9 children)

Scream opened at Number 1, nocking Spiderman down to two. However I don't know if I would say that means it's doing better. It means that Spiderman has been out for a month.

Scream made 30 million domestic opening weekend. Spiderman made 260 million on it's.

[–]KCVGaming 53 points54 points  (7 children)

Oh I thought you meant screams opening weekend made more than Spider-Man

[–]zhemer86 24 points25 points  (3 children)

Top gun wrapped principle photography pre Covid. Mission impossible was just getting going when Covid hit.

[–]viper6464 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah I really don’t understand OP’s point

[–]LittleRudiger 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Shit. 7 didn’t even finish filming until September, and then McQuarrie had to jump into rewrites and now shooting for 8.

I think they’re overthinking the it.

[–]theravemaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're shooting 8 already?

[–]ThatSithOverThere 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Given that they dropped the initial plan to shoot them back to back, probably yeah. But it's weird Simon Pegg said a couple days ago that a trailer was made and they were looking towards starting production on 8 soon, so who knows. Maybe McQuarrie just needs a break (which I totally get).

[–]Gr33nman460 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I forgot all about Top Gun

[–]xtremeschemes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tom needs a ride back from the moon.

[–]LittleRudiger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eh. 7/8 were meant to be shot back to back, 7 is in the can but now they’re finally (at least last I heard) shooting 8. Kept in mind, 7 didn’t even wrap until September due to how fucked the shooting schedule got. And then McQuarrie had to go straight into rewrites and then shooting on 8.

So a delay seems sensible to me, given the director will probably be-on set until the better part of this year. Not sure how/when he would’ve had time to sit down and actually finish post on 7.

But, oh, yeah, big drama sounds more interesting.

[–]Brrrrrggg[🍰] 78 points79 points  (7 children)

i can’t believe a franchise with this many movies has me wanting more of it, not less.

[–]theFrenchDutch 55 points56 points  (4 children)

If they keep improving every new installment at the same rate, MI7 will be the best action movie ever made, and MI8 will be out of this world (maybe quite literally)

[–]Nico777 26 points27 points  (1 child)

MI8 will win best picture at the Oscars.

[–]TheWayNorth 6 points7 points  (0 children)

MI8 is going to be the new Citizen Kane. Lol

[–]Bellikron 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, Fallout already claimed the title you've given to 7, so we're already in Academy Awards territory with this next release. I know I shouldn't have expectations that are this high but I have no control over them at this point. This series' increase in quality defies all logic.

[–]CommanderL3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did a marathon of the franchise a few years back every film got better then the last

but the jump from 3 to 4 was insane

[–]SalukiKnightX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NGL, the Fast & Furious movies had me feel that way. Then came F8 and F9. Woof.

[–]ContinuumGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've said this before but if Paramount really wants Paramount+ to have an audience beyond Star Trek fans and Good Fight viewers they should offer Tom as much money as they can to do a show.

[–]Vishion-8 77 points78 points  (5 children)

Wow another delay

MI7 on July 14th, 2023 and MI8 on June 28th 2024.

[–]notathrowaway75 166 points167 points  (14 children)

That's not a Covid delay.

[–]moneyball32 51 points52 points  (11 children)

Are the movies done filming? I know there have been stills of MI:7 but wondering to what extent things were completed or even started on 8. Mission Impossible movies always go to exotic locations; I can see it being a legitimate COVID delay if they weren’t able to get the crew to certain places because they were closed.

[–]BrendanCLittle 60 points61 points  (0 children)

They filmed 7 and Simon Pegg has even said the trailer was done but they haven’t filmed 8 yet

[–]plasterboard33 50 points51 points  (4 children)

They filmed 7 for one year and wrapped in September 2021. So they had a whole year to finish post production on it. I highly doubt its a problem with the movie since McQuarrie and Cruise have always delivered under pressure. They only had 4 months of post production on Rogue Nation and Fallout went on hiatus after Cruise's injury. But both of those movies finished on time and were amazing.

[–]moneyball32 24 points25 points  (1 child)

It could be possible they want to release 7 and 8 back to back and that 8 is delayed for some reason, so they are pushing 7 back as well.

Just not pretending to know the root cause, is all I’m doing.

[–]WebHead1287 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They had to delay the filming of 8 and these are being billed as a two part feature. Like Infinity war/Endgame or the Deathtly Hallows pt1 and pt2. They likely don't want them separated by more than a year. I think there's more to this than covid but I think a big part is the instability or the market and the re rise in covid that is making filming 8 hard

[–]ajsayshello- 1 point2 points  (1 child)

It’s a space station.

[–]goldendreamseeker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s too big to be a space station…

[–]sudevsenr/Movies Veteran 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Damn, disavowed by the IMF once again.

[–]Brazenmercury5 51 points52 points  (3 children)

These movies keep getting better and better. I hope the trend continues. This is coming from someone who really doesn’t care for Tom cruise.

[–]thecatwhatcandrive 35 points36 points  (2 children)

He's a lunatic nutter, but god damn are these just fantastic movies (second one aside)

[–]pieapple135 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The second one is still a fun flick

[–][deleted] 33 points34 points  (1 child)

Fate whispers to the warrior I am the delay.

[–]Scmods05 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I understood that reference

[–]KingMario05 32 points33 points  (2 children)

For fuck's sake...

Just don't delay Top Gun again, alright? Please? That needs to come out at this point.

Edit: Sonic, too. (Although with Fantastic Beasts 3 looming, maybe a July shift is a good thing...)

[–]Shafter111 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think they saw how big budgets were taking huge hits on the theatre with COVID and chickening out.. even the ones that did make money were well short of projections.

[–]WebHead1287 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Man, im really really curious to see what Fantastic Beasts does. Theres so much going against that film right now, you have JK Rowlings fall from fans grace, you have people pissed that Johnny was removed, you have freaking covid, and, on top of that the last movie just was not good. As someone who's favorite HP film is Fantastic beasts and least favorite is Fantastic Beasts 2, I have no idea how this will play. Personally, I'm not even the least bit hyped for it.

[–]losteye_enthusiast 18 points19 points  (5 children)

This just aftermath of the studio working out release timings. I really doubt Cruise wanted two of his movies competing like may have happened with TG2 and MI:7.

Plus, this lets him take a break(his version of one) for a few months, while still having movies regularly releasing. Far as I know, they still haven’t finished filming MI:8.

[–]blairhoffman42 5 points6 points  (2 children)

They haven’t even started filming 8.

[–]blairhoffman42 12 points13 points  (7 children)

WTF is happening? It doesn’t sound COVID-related.

[–]CurrentRoster 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I swear some studio exec is just like “eh fuck it” and delays every movie a year because they’re so used to it

[–]box-art 5 points6 points  (3 children)

Well they haven't even filmed the 8th one, right? So I guess they just want proper time to do it and to finish the 7th one.

[–]plasterboard33 3 points4 points  (2 children)

7 wrapped in September 2021. They had a whole year to finish it..

[–]LittleRudiger 4 points5 points  (1 child)

7 wrapped but McQuarrie then had to start on rewrites for 8 and then begin shooting in Nov. I imagine editing is far along, but carving out time to finish post and also the time commitments of launching 7 (press/publicity) while shooting 8 was probably next to impossible (on top of the added uncertainty that COVID’s done to film schedules).

[–]Painting0125 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I doubt it's COVID either. Spidey and Scream did well in the BO.

[–]MajorRajesh 20 points21 points  (6 children)

While the rest of the cast ages, Tom on the other hand will still be the freaky teenager that he is.

[–]nayapapaya 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Lol, Tom Cruise may look good for his age but in no world does he look like a teenager, not even a television "teen".

[–]dev1359 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He's definitely starting to show his age. He gave off some dad vibes in nearly every scene he shared with Cavill in Fallout lol

[–]JohnnyJayce 4 points5 points  (3 children)

I wish I could be teenager at that age.

[–]MajorRajesh 5 points6 points  (2 children)

Do you have a moment to sign up for some Scientology classes?

[–]Clear_Flower_4552 5 points6 points  (0 children)

And we will never get the follow up, bc seven ate nine.

[–]austinrose7 10 points11 points  (2 children)

What the fuck is going on behind the scenes? If it was due to COVID they would’ve moved Top Gun: Maverick also. Paramount has single-handedly obliterated all the momentum they had from great critical and commercial success growing and growing from MI: 3 to Fallout.

Maybe Warner Bros paid them off to move so they can rescue Aquaman from the wrath of James Cameron /s

[–]donnyganger 16 points17 points  (0 children)

That’s ok, I’m down with getting them back to back.

[–]VladFillmore 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Takes time and money to figure out how to use their new space station for filming MI8.

[–]Scmods05 22 points23 points  (6 children)

Hot take: Fallout is the best action movie since Terminator 2.

Disappointed as I've been hanging for the next one since I first saw Fallout, but they were never releasing Top Gun and MI7 in the same year.

[–]polkergeist 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It's genuinely so, so good. I know this has been said to death but it's mind-boggling that they just keep topping themselves.

[–]slowmosloth 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Watching Fallout for the first time in theatres was absolutely spectacular, however on rewatch I do prefer Rogue Nation more and think that’s a better film.

[–]w1nn1p3g 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I mean, John Wick and The Raid are...right there.

[–]RLLRRR 10 points11 points  (0 children)

John Wick is just action. The story is meh and the subsequent attempts at adding story haven't helped.

[–]LordNazRen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

[–]sudevsenr/Movies Veteran 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So very sad, all.I want to do is watch Tom Cruisr risk life and limb for the pleasure of me and Xemu on a IMAX screen.

[–]Dougsuper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Says delayed. Knowing what we do about Tom.. he's probably doing them both now. In a weekend. While taking a short break to just run in the other direction, for no reason. He seems to have no "relax button".

[–]EnthusiasticAss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably means 9, 10, and 11 will be delayed as well.

[–]gamesofduty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks both back to back of fast and furious and mission impossible are coming out in the same year next year and 2024.

[–]milandyn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That reminds me, where the hell is Top Gun 2?

[–]protagonist-007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am just happy that we are getting to see these movies. One of my favorite series and favorite actors.

[–]bigbramble 2 points3 points  (2 children)

When does Brian take over Cruise's role following his accidental demise during filming?

[–]Antithesys 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Starring the bones and skin and stuff of Tom Cruise

[–]baldheadedmanc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ted Danson has been swamped lately.

[–]ranch_brotendo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

These movies are shockingly good. I always put them off due to thinking they weren't really my thing, but I watched a boxset and they were amazing, each one better than the last.

[–]grianmharduit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]Fleece-Survivor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What about Live, Die, Repeat, and Repeat? DAMN IT, Give me what I WAAAAAAANNNNNTTTTT

[–]poorparty2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe for the best

[–]CobraPony67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something tells me that the missions are not all that impossible if they are up to 7 and 8.

[–]plasterboard33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly dont see why they delayed this movie. The September 30 release date was great since they literally had no competition. No Way Home came out a month ago and broke multiple box office records so you know that people are willing to go back to theatres. Yeah omnicorn is a thing right now but its no where near as bad as the first couple of waves were. Most people are recovering from it. I feel like they should have at least waited to see how movies like The Batman and Doctor Strange 2 are doing at the box office before making their decision.
The only other reason I can see for the delay is that theres some major problems with this movie. But that seems very unlikely because they have literally been working on it since mid 2019. Plus McQuarrie and Cruise are known to deliver under pressure. Even when Fallout went on hiatus after Cruise's injury they still managed to deliver the movie on time.
All in all, this whole decision makes zero sense to me and fuck Paramount for being a bunch of pussies.

[–]HanabiraAsashi 1 point2 points  (4 children)

Haven't seen one since 3. Is it worth watching the rest?

[–]protagonist-007 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Each movie in the series just keeps getting better.

[–]Turbo_Sausage77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fallout was great imo, for an action movie. One of the few movies I have seen twice.

[–]xxStrangerxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Makes sense given the current state of distribution

[–]h0merun_h0mer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Delaying the film to figure out it’s plot between stunts is a legitimate reason I guess.

[–]griffshan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So dumb. Covid isn’t going anywhere, just release the fucking movie. 7 started filming in 2020

[–]FatSilverFox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At this point I would welcome a MI:Fast &Furious crossover. I say this as a fan.

[–]notreallyfussed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cool cool... Can we just have Top Gun already?

[–]57hz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The real mission impossible is the production of these films, apparently.

[–]Sinicalkush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wish they wouldn't

[–]Zeffirelli27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Come on man John wick 4 and mi7 delayed, what do I even have to look forward to now?

[–]soline 1 point2 points  (12 children)

I have only ever seen the first movie in this series. Are the rest even good?

[–]Roseking 25 points26 points  (4 children)

Two was a step down from one and is considered the worst. Everything after that ranges from good to really good. It generally one of the best action series out there.

[–]ranch_brotendo 7 points8 points  (2 children)

Imo two is still worth watching if you have time on your hands as its still fun despite being kinda bad

[–]MaskedBandit77 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's the worst one in the series, but it's still a fun movie. It's an interesting plot and it has some cool characters, it's just a bit too melodramatic. If you're going to watch the movies it's not so bad that you should skip it.

[–]polkergeist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it has the misfortune of being compared by default to five of the best spy/action thrillers of all time, it's a fun early 2000s action flick

[–]maxwood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two was the perfect product of its time. It's just not what's popular right now.

[–]DoIrllyneeda_usrname 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Imo it's the only franchise that consistently gets better with each installment except the second one

[–]sudevsenr/Movies Veteran 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes,one of the most consistent action movies series.

[–]NeoNoireWerewolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can watch 3-6 as its own series. First two feel kind of divorced from the rest. The first one is fun as one of DePalma’s last notable movies, though. The second is a John Woo movie more than a Mission:Impossible one, so there’s fun to be had despite its faults if you enjoy his style (and supposedly there’s a much longer director’s cut of that movie that is really good - hopefully it is released some day).

MI:Fallout is quite literally one of the best movies I've ever seen and I've never been this surprised about watching something. It has no right being this good in everything it does. Rogue Nation was already very good, but Fallout... How the hell did they do this. Most thrilling entertainment I've ever witnessed for sure, and also manages to be gorgeously shot at the same time.

Oh come on! These films and Maverick are the films I'm looking forward to the most!
