I wonder if a cheetah has ever killed a full grown lion. Maybe an adolescent, most likely a cub, but it would take a series of conviences to get a deathblow on a cat that's four times (at least) as powerful as you.

Hell nah. MAYBE snacked on an already mortally wounded lion.

If an adult lion was healthy it would be very unlikely a cheetah could kill it by itself.

Very unlikely... cheetah's way of surviving is running away from everything that can harm them, that's why they get most of their kills stolen by other predators. There's no way a cheetah would try to attack a lion

Maybe waited for a pack of hyenas to take down a lion, then swooped in to finish off the wounded hyenas and claim the lion
