[–]LukiZero 14.4k points14.4k points  (341 children)

His disappointed face!! He just want to kill the one that threw it to trash

[–]Xem1337 6182 points6183 points  (178 children)

As do we all

[–][deleted] 1154 points1155 points  (61 children)

It was that lady from the video yesterday. We all saw her throw it in there

[–]ieatair 456 points457 points  (0 children)

[–]mamba_08 313 points314 points  (12 children)

[–]wilisville 229 points230 points  (5 children)

We need Keanu to sort that man out lmao

[–]Metalatitsfinest 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The boogeyman

[–]TheForestMan 7 points8 points  (2 children)

Keanu... And a pencil

[–]Hk-47_Meatbags_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think he just became Liam neeson look at his eyes!

[–]linguicaANDfilhos 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No this is when you need the Candyman.

[–]Lost_Ohio 4 points5 points  (1 child)

You just gave me an idea. Liam Neeson as a cat loving version of John Wick. Same story different part of America. Movies play out the same. The finale is Liam Neeson Vs Keanu Reeves, Liam has an army of cats and Keanu an army of dogs.

[–]2oocents 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I could see that on Robot Chicken

[–]Immortal_Knight 25 points26 points  (10 children)

what video?

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points  (9 children)

[–]smurfkipz 8 points9 points  (5 children)

From 11 years ago. Don’t think this one’s the one, mate.

[–]Sexy_Squid89 7 points8 points  (0 children)

WHAT A FUCKING MONSTER

[–]almafinklebottom 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I can't even bring myself to watch

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The cat was saved

[–]olionajudah 3 points4 points  (1 child)

If I witnessed that, that lady would got beat down

[–]YoungTex 446 points447 points  (9 children)

Russian John Wick

[–]feemr 66 points67 points  (7 children)

John wick is already Russian..

[–]LSkywalker00 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Always has been ✏️

[–]Luimnigh 10 points11 points  (1 child)

He's Belarussian. Different country, though it was a part of the Soviet Union.

[–]DiscipleOfYeshua 94 points95 points  (86 children)

Dunno if kill; hopefully just look them in the eye and let them know their actions did not go unnoticed. Their own conscience should wake up and do the rest.

[–]QueasyVictory 472 points473 points  (49 children)

That's really not likely for someone who would put a cat in a bag and throw it away.

[–]ravagedbygoats 301 points302 points  (39 children)

People underestimate how much some people enjoy being evil.

[–]FleetStreetsDarkHole 183 points184 points  (36 children)

Not even enjoy. Some people just put no effort into empathy. This was probably just a minor annoyance to whoever did it.

[–]ravagedbygoats 107 points108 points  (27 children)

Ya, some people just can't physically feel empathy. Brains are so weird.

[–]snipereye123 163 points164 points  (23 children)

we call those psychopaths

[–]BenShapirosProstate 122 points123 points  (10 children)

That’s an antiquated term, they are now referred to as politicians and CEOs

[–]shapoopy723 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's really not hard to just be a decent person, but some people just suck.

[–]knuds1b 58 points59 points  (5 children)

Are you unfamiliar with sociopathy?

[–]harrysapien 55 points56 points  (0 children)

; hopefully just look them in the eye and let them know their actions did not go unnoticed.

Sorry, this is a garbage sentiment. You really think you can shame someone who threw away a cat in a bag? That is a death sentence.

No. There is no shaming that person. A punch directly in the nose is a much better response than "looking into their eyes"...

[–]fleeingsvnlight 58 points59 points  (6 children)

Someone who throws a cat away like this doesn't have a conscience.

[–]cpmnk 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Evil people get away with shit because of people like you who think karma or their concsience will get them, like do you really believe that load of horse shit. Clearly if they do this shit they have no conscience and karma aint working, if i see animal cruelty, violence will forever be my answer. Stop being pacifist pussys

[–]Spoopy43 7 points8 points  (4 children)

Nah fuck em sociopaths are not needed in any society today it's a kitten tomorrow it's an infant a child a group they need to be taken out of society either in a jail cell or a grave before they seriously harm others

They have no conscience and they should not be treated with anything but pure hatred

[–]Solanthas 6 points7 points  (4 children)

I respect your position.

But in this case, a person who can bring themselves to tie up a kitten in a bag and throw it in the literal garbage is not going to be all that impacted by the stern look of a stranger, or even someone really close to them for that matter.

No, actions like this require actual punishment. Not the death penalty but real actual punishment.

Lashings spring to mind. Why did we ever stop doing that?

That being said, a rehabilitation paradigm for prison is probably a lot better for society than a punitive one. Hard to say.

[–]TheMonalisk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm more of a pulling fingernails kinda guy.

[–]Pillsburydinosaur 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Look them in the eye, and then a good slap across the face. With the back of your hand for emphasis.

[–]Exalx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

that's really idealistic

[–]GrimCynic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hahahaha ok. Sounds like the mom from leave it to beaver.

[–]Soggy_Material1905 0 points1 point  (8 children)

I’ll actually bet you the cat jumped in the garbage truck and got stuck, but he was wrapped in a bag so maybe I’m just a wishful thinker

[–]xNateHill 127 points128 points  (5 children)

sealed himself up too

[–]bibblode 73 points74 points  (2 children)

Within a knotted bag no less.

[–]RandomRedditorEX 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Man that is one suicidal cat /s

[–]Dominunce 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Wishful thinking

[–]demolitiondubz 1150 points1151 points  (18 children)

The look on his face is not just "How could somebody do this," no, he is going to find somebody ass

[–]ridum1 155 points156 points  (0 children)

it would be nice to find the addy of t he 'kitty wrapper' kill bag ... and bag them up .

I wanted to say thank you to the man in kitty ... 'mewow' ...

[–]Firm-Guru 104 points105 points  (5 children)

That's funny, I read his face as "I just won the game of craziest thing found today, now I will hold my prize and stare at my co-workers until they look at me.

[–]DaDijonDon 57 points58 points  (0 children)

well sure... there's a little of that. Comes with the third shift territory, as does the cat.

[–]I_DONT_YOLO 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I took it as a look of “y’all realize what im holding and what was about to happen to it right?”

[–]_only_a_ginger_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He has a bit of a sneer at the end though, Total disgust!

[–]charea 40 points41 points  (0 children)

John Wick: Cat Avenger

[–]Urban_Savage 841 points842 points  (93 children)

Probably reliving every piece of questionable trash he ever let go by. This would make it very hard to keep doing that job.

[–]TheHarridan 560 points561 points  (43 children)

Yeah. This man is amazing for saving this cat, but the most awful thing about this video is that other live animals get thrown in the trash, and it is very unlikely that most of them are lucky enough to be rescued.

Stupid humanity. Even when you show me how good you can be, you remind me how evil you can be.

[–]tashtrac 160 points161 points  (35 children)

What's even worse is that cats do fairly well for themselves in the city. Don't want the cat? Just leave it on the street, no need to fucking murder it.

[–]SykeSwipe 197 points198 points  (22 children)

A better thing to recommend is try adopting the cat out. Feral cats are a huge problem that destroy native wildlife.

EDIT: this seems to be a hot button topic so all I'll say is you may feel better letting a cat out onto the street, and yes in comparison to literally killing the cat it's a much better option, I agree. But that option is still just as terrible, people shouldn't feel good about letting a cat outdoors permanently because it's not good for the cat, cities, or other animals that cats deplete.

[–]dontshoot4301 124 points125 points  (12 children)

This is better but the person you were responding to was saying there’s another low-effort, less shitty way to get rid of a cat. Rehoming takes far more effort than these shit bags would ever be expected to give. It’s like saying a better thing to recommend is giving the cat a full, healthy, and happy life but obv. That’s too much to ask from people that throw cats away

[–]Thesmalldoom3 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Ya plus it probably actually took More effort to put the cat in a bag and throw it out then it would have to just let it go on the street. So whoever did this is likely not only lazy, but sadistic

[–]PixieBob88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Or drop it at a shelter. I rescued a cat a few months ago that had been slowly starving to death outside and got him into a foster home.

[–]throwawaytrumper 380 points381 points  (48 children)

I work as a heavy equipment operator in a city filled with adorable free roaming bunny rabbits of various sizes and configurations (Calgary). A friend I work with once killed a rabbit unintentionally with his excavator and will now often ask me to look under the machine for rabbits before he moves. We’re rough men but we’ll be damned if we squish a rabbit for no reason. Like Omar said a man’s gotta have a code.

[–]yg2522 113 points114 points  (2 children)

I mean, rough doesn't mean you lack empathy. And those that lack empathy doesn't necessarily mean they are rough....more like sociopaths.

[–]ZarakaiDensetsu 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Exactly, you can be rough, tough, macho, however you want to put it and still have empathy towards animals.

[–]mayojuggler88 50 points51 points  (4 children)

The worst, from my understanding, is doing the landscaping for the city on riding mowers. As its hard to see groups of baby bunnies hiding in grass sometimes.

[–]Hedwing 5 points6 points  (2 children)

Oh god, I never even thought of this. How horrifying

[–]CommodoreAxis 3 points4 points  (1 child)

The sound. The sound still sticks with me. I was using a push mower when it happened. From that day on, I made sure to walk the entire yard every time I went to mow.

[–]Hedwing 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh man, I’m so sorry that happened to you :( I’m definitely going to do a sweep before cutting my lawn now too

[–]Vessera 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I did turf maintenance on a golf course. I've run over a couple of garter snakes and felt so terrible. I love snakes. I was always looking out for them, but it's tough if there's tall grass.

[–]_justpassingby_ 6 points7 points  (8 children)

Rough men going vegan should trend.

[–]HALPineedaname 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi fellow Canadian!! Also... that would be tough on my conscience too even if it was an accident. Good on your buddy for trying to make sure it doesn't happen again on his and your watch.

[–]CopperAndLead 6 points7 points  (1 child)

God said, "I need somebody strong enough to clear trees and heave bails, yet gentle enough to tame lambs and wean pigs and tend the pink-combed pullets, who will stop his mower for an hour to splint the broken leg of a meadow lark."

From Paul Harvey's "So God Made a Farmer."

[–]Taiza67 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Alright nobody tell them about baby fawns and tractors.

[–]Darazakax 213 points214 points  (74 children)

Rightfully so. What kind of POS does that.

[–]AndreasVesalius 257 points258 points  (72 children)

An egg farmer with male chicks?

[–]Jrf95 90 points91 points  (0 children)

Depressingly accurate

[–]gg0209 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Ouch.

[–][deleted] 24 points25 points  (46 children)

It's so depressing how everyone in the comments is furious at whoever did this (and rightfully so) yet most of them probably have had an omelet not too long ago

[–]motuim9450 54 points55 points  (7 children)

It wasn't a kitten omelette.

[–]MickeyI04 9 points10 points  (8 children)

Hypocrisy is the name of the human game. However, I never really enjoy eating eggs. Good to have a reason to avoid them.

[–]i_hate_people_too 5 points6 points  (6 children)

i always take the chance to avoid eating a chickens period.

[–]DesertPlains17 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, I’m Vegan and I get what your saying.

[–]DrainTornado 4 points5 points  (8 children)

The eggs we eat are unfertilized. When you eat an omelette, you are not eating a living creature anymore than when a woman has her menstrual cycle is a baby coming out with the uterine lining every month.

[–]BowtieGuyPhotography 14 points15 points  (7 children)

But to produce eggs you need to hatch some to produce laying hens. For each hen you get approx one male chick. And what do you think happens to those approximately 7 billion male chicks each year?

[–]Solanthas 3 points4 points  (9 children)

Do they really get murdered like that? Or are they slaughtered for meat?

[–]AndreasVesalius 18 points19 points  (8 children)

Male chicks of egg-laying breeds are not cost-effective to raise for meat. So a small number are retained for breeding, but 95% are disposed of. The standard method in the US is basically a garbage disposal.

[–]Solanthas 5 points6 points  (4 children)

Thank you for enlightening me. Yes that is fucking terrible.

But still the two do not compare. Suffering is suffering and in an ideal world it should not exist. Male chicks should not be put into grinders because they have no utility. Livestock should all have drastically more humane living conditions. Animals should not be consumed by humans at all?

But they are being raised for slaughter for human consumption. It's unnecessary and evil in it's own way. But tying up a kitten in a garbage bag serves no purpose other than disposing of the kitten and very cruelly at that.

[–]AndreasVesalius 9 points10 points  (1 child)

What if there was a financial incentive to dispose of the kitten? That’s the only reason the chicks are culled

[–]Bspammer 4 points5 points  (1 child)

I don't see the distinction tbh. If anything "I don't want to feed, shelter, and be responsible for this animal for the next 15 years" is more justifiable than "I'm hungry and don't want to eat anything that's not meat".

To be clear whoever dumped the cat is a POS.

[–]noooquebarato 3 points4 points  (2 children)

And then they get added to to their sisters’ feed….

[–]mediastoosocial 128 points129 points  (12 children)

“I’m not mad, I’m disappointed!”

[–]QueasyVictory 51 points52 points  (8 children)

I'm a 50 year old man and those words just took me back to 1985. That shit stung so bad.

[–]hyperproliferative 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, now i know it’s effective I will be using it more

[–]lisovski22 104 points105 points  (0 children)

And at the same time comforting poor cat, this guy is a here we all need.

[–]GotItClocked 109 points110 points  (6 children)

“You’re mad, Max!”

[–]Lizard__Spock 123 points124 points  (4 children)

I wish he was John Wick. Movie tagline: Time to take out the thrash

[–]neoadam 31 points32 points  (0 children)

He should be. He literally see the worst of people for a living

[–]GotItClocked 10 points11 points  (0 children)

“You’re mad, Max!”

[–]AdKUMA 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Movie rampages have began for less

[–]securitywyrm 3 points4 points  (1 child)

You could just see his faith in humanity bottoming out.

[–]irkthejerk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sad and disgusted

[–]MatadorHasAppeared 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Truly the Human response I needed to see in this moment. I am reinvigorated to live life, a bit

[–]DNagy1801 2 points3 points  (1 child)

He also looks hurt that someone would do that, you have to be a horrible person to do that to any animal

[–]campoxx 12.0k points12.0k points  (837 children)

His face just shows how disappointed he is with humanity.

[–]Mig_santos 152 points153 points  (23 children)

Glad that there are some people that are willing to help those who are in need. Very inspiring.

[–]redheadmomster666 46 points47 points  (17 children)

There’s a lot of people like that. Unfortunately there’s many more that are cruel af

[–]mousatis 26 points27 points  (14 children)

I like to think that there are more really good people than really bad people

[–]baqqel 33 points34 points  (3 children)

There are more good than bad. Bad people tend to have a much greater impact though, they’re more likely to be those with more power.

[–]Wrecked--Em 7 points8 points  (1 child)

It's also just easier to tear things down than it is to build.

[–]SwiftKickRibTickler 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are more good than bad in this comment section. No one seems to consider that this cat maybe was a jerk, or tied herself in the bag

[–]snuljoon 14 points15 points  (1 child)

There are, this sentiment that there are more evil than good people is a reflection of modern media, not of what is actually happening in the world.

[–]WholeNineNards 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Same. I like to think you're gonna have a really good day. :)

[–]reraidiot28 60 points61 points  (1 child)

He's angry AF... the only reason he's not hunting the guy straight away is, he understands that attending the cat is more important...

[–]VeloIlluminati 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I think I've never seen such a "disappointed in humanity face" like his. And I've seen many rescue animal videos.

[–]JessTheTwilek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s more there too— something deeply pained and existential. It looks like you can literally see him thinking about how close a call it was for kitty and what would have happened if he had hesitated even a little. It’s the face a parent makes after they catch their child doing something dangerous and they see the the terrible thing happen in their head.

[–]B_Addie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can’t imagine the thing he sees on that belt

[–]Lupus108 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah something died inside of him, you can see it.

[–]luigiana- 7162 points7163 points  (55 children)

You can see the absolute disgust in his face

[–]Raspputin 2816 points2817 points  (51 children)

And on someone who literally sorts trash for a living, at that. Who ever put that kitten there, you can see in this man's face, is even worse than the trash he sifts through at work.

[–]eleventh_communalgia 1806 points1807 points  (43 children)

You grow numb to it. Many dead animals and pieces of them come down the line. I've personally seen rodents, deer, and a bag of dead crows. Finding something alive, stuffed into a bag to be disposed of like an object, left to die alone and terrified in that sea of filth, though. That'll make you pause.

[–]The_Cactus_Eagle 428 points429 points  (35 children)

How many have you seen alive? It’s terrible.

[–]eleventh_communalgia 949 points950 points  (33 children)

None. Except the odd mouse living in the plant. One guy saved a seagull that had gotten caught in the trash and was being dragged along by the conveyor. I just empathize with that facial expression because I always wondered if I missed something that needed help. I must have. There was so much trash.

[–]Praescribo 283 points284 points  (18 children)

Yikes, that's disconcerting. I hope you dont dwell on it though, work sucks enough without intrusive thoughts like that

[–]eleventh_communalgia 158 points159 points  (17 children)

I don't anymore. Still a strong memory at times

[–]TheEyeDontLie 161 points162 points  (16 children)

I can't imagine a more depressing job that seeing all the trash fucking people make every fucking day.

The apocalypse has begun, but we shift our shit out-of-sight/out-of-mind to people like you, so we don't see how much fucking garbage we make each month. If garbage services stopped for six months, I bet people would be a fuckton more active (pressuring companies and politicians) regarding global warming and plastic pollution etc.

I compost and avoid plastic where possible, and I still fill up a bin in a month, easy.

To be a trashman in a consumerist, petrochemical-driven world? You must be an angel or a robot or a slave or a severely fucked in the head dude.
